3. I asked a few of my friends who are the same age as me, 16/17, and fit in
my target audience, about a few titles I could call my music magazine. I
sent them a photo of the 3 possible titles asking the question ‘Which title
do you like for a pop music magazine?’ I made sure they knew it was the
title for the magazine and the sub-genre of the magazine I am doing, Pop.
4. Results
From the focus group I did, I have decided to name my magazine
‘Download’. I have come to the decision as out of the 5 people I asked they
all said download was eye catching, it stands out, professional looking and
appropriate for a music magazine as its music related. As the people I
asked fitted into my target audience, knowing that the title download was
liked the most, it would attract the reader of my music magazine more
than the other titles as the title fits the target audiences likes. I decided to
not use the other two titles as pulse didn't stand out as much as
download, and the symbol i used in repeat wasn't obviously an ‘e’ and
wasn't clear to the audience.
