2. This is the front cover image used for my magazine, I chose this because the use of the headphones
helps display the techno-music genre and the lighting was the best out of the range of photos I took,
as well as this the costume choice with limited expression of the person used makes the person less
vibrant on the cover, yet still enables them to stand out against the coverlines.
I wanted the costumes to be dark and bold, matching the theme of the overall layout on the front
cover. Dark colours make the pink cover lines more prominent towards the reader as well as adding a
more serious feel to the magazine.

3. I was originally going to use this photo for the
cover, however the mis en scene of the other
photograph was more appropriate for the
cover and allowed me more spacing for cover
lines and images. Also, the lighting is too dark
and there are many shadows within the
picture, although this could have been
devolved in Photoshop to make a more bright
and glossy image it could have made the
picture look fake and distorted, resulting in
the other picture being used for the cover.
