2. Article analysis
This is An R&B Article , the first thing you notice
on the page is the image , most people find that
articles like the one shown have too much
information on the page so they do not read all
of it , Automatically you can tell that it is an
article and that the magazine is R&B because of
the artist. The article and image is all in black
and white and very small font. There is no title
just the name of the music company/ magazine
company on the right hand side of the page and
a quote on the image said by the chosen Artist. I
think this Article works well as the readers will
be able to tell it is a R&B magazine straight away
, The Image is very eye catching , and It the
company name of the magazine “Vibe” stands
out on thee page. The text is very small and this
fills the whole page. I think the magazine is
aimed at teenagers aged 16-19 , This looks more
of a boys magazine as it is plain black and white
, and The article is set on a male artist.

As I am doing an R&B media product ,
This is also an R&B Article , This Article
has taken up 2 pages in the magazine ,
The first thing that catches the readers
attention is the image and the title ,
The title for this article is the Initials of
the chosen Artist “WK” Wiz Khalifa ,
you can automatically tell that the
magazine is R&B due to the artist , The
magazine has used only 3 colours
black white and yellow , The text is in
two columns and there is not much to
read , the sub title “How High?” tells
us that the artist is a rapper /RnB
artist. This works well because of the
colour and the layout , also there is
not much text so it easier for the
readers to read.
The audience is kids aged 17-19 I think
as the artist is very popular this is
targeted towards both boys and girls ,
I think more boys will read this
magazine .
