3. I have located the masthead behind the main image because the main
image will standout. I used this idea from the mixmag magazine, as they
have used similar thing.
It is really important for a magazine to have a masthead as it attracts the
readers. If thins magazine was out on the stand to be sold it should be
first attracted to the main image than its masthead.
The masthead is like the symbol/logo of a magazine. It not only helps
the reader know what kind of magazine it is, it also helps the people
know what genre the magazine is. The masthead is the biggest text I
have on my cover. This shows that the masthead is a big part of the
cover. Not all the magazines uses masthead behind their main image as
there are many

4. Main image
• The main image covers the whole page.
The cover photo is of an artist.
• The cover photo has a direct eye contact
with the audience. Eye contact is really
important as the audience feel more
connected to the magazine while looking
at it.
• The headline and sub- title for this cover
is connected as it is about the artist new
released album (Fall in love), the
subheading tells the reader who the artist
is because the name of the artist (Suhara
) is in bold.
• The background of this image is lighter
than the artist as I want the artist to
stand out on the whole page, this shows
that I have used contrasting colors to
make the artist stand out.
• I have places the masthead behind the
main image as it looks more realistic and
attracts more readers.
5. Headline
• The headline is the second biggest font on the cover I have used,
in this case my headline is “Fall in love” . The sub heading helps
the reader know more details about the headline. In this case I
used the name of my artist so it shows that the heading is the
new album( Fall in love) of the new artist (Suhara).
