The Coursework Task
(The Brief)
Main Task
My main task is to producethe frontpage, contents page and double page spread of a new
music magazine.
I will use photoshop for image manipulation and indesign for page layout and design
features on the contents page and double page spread.
All the images and text that I use mustbe original and produced by me. I must usea
minimum of four imagine.
The Research and Planning
All my evidence of research and planning mustbe added to my blog on a daily basis, it is
expected to be a significantamount and it mustrecord the entire process of my coursework
fromstart to finish. I need to make it very visual and not resemble an essay styleapproach.
Around 50 separate posts areexpected.

2. What content (text/copy/writing/articles/stories) would you expect to find in a music
magazine?
3. What images would you expect to find in a music magazine?
4. Identify general characteristics/features thatyou would expect to find in all music
magazines
Questions about music magazine frontcovers (look at any 4 covers)
1. Identify the features/characteristics they all have
2. Why are these features presenton all the magazines? Why are they important?
3. Take one of the magazinecovers and say what type of music magazine it is
(genre/sub-genre)
4. For the samemagazine, who is the target audience? Give reasons for your answers.
