King Nebuchadnezzar II Of Babylon
Since the BC era, people have believed they are safe from harm. King Nebuchadnezzar II of
Babylon felt secure behind the walls that surrounded his city. He'd often feast while the Persian
army tried to destroy his city. The Persians once entered by wading along the riverbed that ran into
the city. King Nebuchadnezzar II didn't think that his city's water supply would become a threat to
his kingdom (Shenk, 2013). The river caused a weakness among the city and the Persians were able
to find it. King Nebuchadnezzar II had paid for this mistake and was killed by the Persians.
Technology has it's own walls to protect it from harm. We create layers of security, such as
antiviruses to protect it from harm. Unfortunately, there are weaknesses just like Babylon had. ...

There are always weaknesses in the walls and if an attacker is persistent, many times they can get
through it. Malicious people attack web applications, operating systems and go deeper into your
hardware to harm it (Shenk, 2013). Malicious people send viruses that can often be sent through
emails or even advertisements. Sometimes clicking on links that aren't legit harms a device. Most
attackers are able to get through the network security because of the person operating the device.
Sometimes clicking on links that aren't legit harms a device. The people using the devices are at
fault because they shouldn't feel secure with their malware. King Nebuchadnezzar II was too
comfortable with his wall (Shenk, 2013). We start to feel secure when layers are built because we
believe it can fully stop the problems, however, it's not made to eliminate the problem for good. In
modern day society, we have built seven layers of security to help eliminate attackers from harming

The First Book Of Nephi Summary
Book Review: The First Book of Nephi: His Reign and Ministry Nephi was one of the sons of Lehi.
Lehi received visions from the Lord and began attempting to repent the people of Jerusalem. After
his attempted murder from those angered by his preaching, Lehi listened to God's commands and
left Jerusalem. Shortly afterwards, God commands Lehi to send his four sons back to Jerusalem so
that they may retrieve 'The Brass Plates' held by Jerusalem's powerful leader Laban. The brothers
failed during their first couple attempts to take the 'Plates' from Laban, but once Nephi traveled
alone and prayed to the Lord, he was successful in defeating Laban with his own sword, which had
been commanded by God, and returning the 'Brass Plates' to his father who spend times ... Show

Not long after Nephi's brothers attempt to kill him, Lehi has a vision of the "Tree of Life" and takes
it as a sign to continue his teachings about God and to convince his family to keep his
commandments. Nephi prays and receives the same vision along with its interpretations that shows
the future for the sons and their children. Lehi' s sons later marry the daughters of Ishmael and
discover in which they use travel the Red Sea to find the Americas. On this journey Nephi proves
once more that there is a God and his commandments should be followed, when his bow breaks but
his strong faith and will strengthened him enough to rebuild another bow and continue to guide his
family on their journey. The brothers are trialed many other times during their journey, but finally
Nephi's abusive older brothers began to exhibit some sort of faith when Nephi commands them not
to kill his father nor touch himself or they would both die. Commanded by God, Nephi then touches
his brothers, making them believers. Once they reached Americas, Nephi was left in charge because
of Lehi's death. Nephi called the people in his land 'Nephites,

Nebuchadnezzar Research Paper
There is no doubt that Nebuchadnezzar was as ruthless as described by Mrs. Murphy. When
Jehoahaz became King of Egypt, Necho got rid of him and Judah became part of Egypt. When the
Babylonians defeated Egypt in 605 BC, Judah then became part of Babylon. The Babylonians were
defeated by Babylonian King Nebuchadnezzar, raised an expedition to punish Judah. Zedekiah was
appointed king of Judah. Nebuchadnezzar deported around 10,000 people. Most of these people
were professionals, wealthy, and craftsmen. Nebuchadnezzar caught Zedekia after he had defeated
from Babylonians and forced him to watch the murder of his own son, then blinded him and
deported him to Babylon. Once again, Nebuchadnezzar deported professional, educated, wealthy
citizens. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The exiles were free to engage in their professions, trades, and organize themselves in communities.
The deported Jews formed their own community in Babylon and continue to practice their religion
and philosophies. Some Jews adapted to the Chaldean religion. This religion was named by their
offspring after Chaldean god, but for the most of the community remained united in its common
faith in Yahweh. The Jews called themselves the "gola, "exiles", or the "bene gola", which means
"the children of the exiles". They forged a new national identity and a new religion. The exile was
something that could not be defined. The Hebrew history, it was built on the promise of Yahweh to
protect the Hebrews and use them for his purposes in human history. Their defeat and the loss of the
land promised to them by Yahweh seemed to imply that their faith in this promise was misplaced.
This crisis precipitated the most profound loss or the most profound reworking of a worldview. For
the Jews in Babylon, it was both that contributed. However, there was no temple to worship in. They
had to learn a new more personal relation between man and God. The Jews compare it to being as

Daniel 7 Vs. 1-8
Daniel seven is divided into three distinct parts. The first section of the chapter (vs. 1–8) are about
Daniel's vision of the four beasts. The second part (vs. 9–14) are about the judgement of God. The
final part of the chapter (vs. 15–28) are about the interpretations of his visions. In the first section,
Daniel has a vision of four beasts. These beasts appear in the form of different animals. The first
beast, was like a lion and had eagle's' wings, represented Babylon. This image brings the reader back
to the time of Babylonian captivity. The second beast, was like a bear, represented the Medes. The
third beast, was like a winged leopard, represented the Persians. The fourth and final beast
represented the Greeks. This beast ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
An angel explains to Daniel what the four beasts represent. Daniel is visibly worried about these
beasts and is told that the fourth beast will be overcome by the Most High. The beast will be judged
and will be put away. The temporary kingdom set up by this beast will be conquered by the
everlasting kingdom. For the people reading Daniel, they saw the faith of him and his friends in the
earlier chapters. These stories reinforce the idea of having faith under great persecution. Daniel
would not give in to the oppressors, and that is what the people under the Greek oppression are
being called to do as well. They must not change their customs, simply because they are told to.
They must not bow down to other Gods. This chapter, and the whole book is a call to those people.
The readers are able to see Daniel rewarded for doing what he knows is right in the eyes of the Lord.
The people are also able to see that there will eventually be an end to all their suffering. This gives
them hope for a future. God will judge their oppressors. This hope alludes not only to the people
living right now but to future times. The hope would bring the people to think about the nation of
Israel overcoming the oppressors with the help of people like the

King Daniel In Ancient Greek
Darius was King of Babylon an ancient city. Daniel was governor in King Darius's palace. Now
Daniel was loved by all Babylonians, well by most Babylonians because he had enemies that he
never knew. His secret enemies were men from the palace, who hated him for his wisdom and fair
judgment. Daniel was also a Hebrew. One day one man who was Ahaziah spoke to his friends and
said,"Daniel is preventing our evil plans from coming to pass." The other friend Micah replied,"But
what can we do?" Sam the smartest of the three answered,"Daniel always praised his God and
prayed to him daily. What if we told King Darius that he should have a no praying to any other

built. You should get all the glory and praise." King Darius replied,"What do you mean by this?"
The men answered,"We mean that you should make a rule that says: Worship only Darius as the
supreme God of the universe in Babylon!" In addition, the King was amazed and said,"But how will
I let all the people of Babylon worship me? I'm not a god, moreover, the true God of heaven might
be angry." The men replied,"Oh King, leave that to us. Only put the rule in writing and seal it with
your ring." The next day Daniel was praying as usual. The men saw him and said,"Daniel there will
be a new rule that says, only pray to Darius as god." Daniel was shocked and said,"Why did Darius

King Nebuchadnezzar II (634–562 BCE) is the best known king ancient Babylon, and he is famous
for defeating the Assyrians with the help of Medes. His actions liberated Babylonia from their
tyrannical rule and his actions created a solid foundation upon which his son could build.
Nebuchadnezzar II went on to defeat the Egyptians at Carchemish, to subdue Palestine and Syria,
and to control all trade routs from Mesopotamia to the Mediterranean Sea. With the taxes he
collected, he created the city that is now recognized as one of the lost wonders of the ancient world:

The Power Of The Second
Daniel, Joseph, and Mike Pence!
The Power of the Second I heard the Lord say: "Mike Pence will be My Daniel and Joseph in
America, for there is power in My second–in–command!"
Donald Trump 's landmark victory as the soon–to–be 45th president of the United States shakes the
political paradigm as we know it, turning the world on its ear. Lance Wallnau, a refreshing Dallas–
based prophetic voice in the business world and the church, has been prophesying about Donald
Trump for over a year in videos and posts all over social media to a growing audience of 200,000 or
more.
In his landmark and popular book released in September 2016 he describes Donald Trump as: "God
's Chaos candidate." This term is based on a word he received from the Lord:
In a Charisma News article dated October 5, entitled "Why I Believe Donald Trump is the
Prophesied President, he said this: "I heard the Lord say: 'Donald Trump is a wrecking ball to the
spirit of political correctness.'"
Wallnau is not alone in his belief; well known prophets including Dutch Sheets, Chuck Pierce, Kim
Clement, Rick Joyner, and Elijah List founder Steve Shultz, as well as many other prophetic voices
around the world felt it was a turning point in history for which Donald Trump was the chosen
vessel God would use to change the direction of our nation.
Now here we stand to make no bones about it; Donald Trump is president–elect and will take office
on January 20. Until then our divided country will try to heal and find its

Old Testament Apocalyptic By Daniel. Daniel
O SU_ MIN7010 W7–A2 Old Testament Apocalyptic Assignment 2: Old Testament Apocalyptic
One of the writers of the Old Testament that is often spoken as an apocalyptic writer and that is
Daniel. Daniel is depicted as an apocalyptic writer because in the Hebrew Bible, Daniel had dreams
and visions which also involved angelic intermediaries Daniel 's writings also involve a
comprehensive view of prophetic history. This prophetic history begins with a young Jewish exile
around the 600BC –586 who had experienced persecution, and intimidation, but once in Babylon
impressed the leaders with his intellect and good perception. Daniel interpreted King
Nebuchadnezzar 's (the king of Babylon) dream (Daniel 2:31–33)." A single great: statue; that statue
which was large and of extraordinary splendor, was standing in front of you, and its appearance was
awesome. The head of that statue was made of fine gold, its arms of silver, its belly and its thighs of
bronze, its legs of iron, its feet partly of iron and partly of clay. You continued looking until a stone
was cut out without hands, and it struck the statue on its feet iron any clay and crushed them. Then
the iron, the clay, the bronze, the silver, and the gold were crushed all at the same time and became
like chaff from the summer threshing floors; and the wind carried them away so that not a trace of
them found. But the stone that struck the statue" became a great mountain and filled the whole
earth"(2:34–35)".

Explain The Four Kingdoms In The Book Of Daniel
Discussion Board 1 In the Book of Daniel the 7th chapter it is record that Daniel mentioned four
great kingdoms. The four great kingdoms that Daniel mentioned are Babylon, Medo–Persia, Greece,
and Rome. Daniel stated in detail that these four kingdoms would come out the earth. "The
Babylonian, Persian, Greek, and Roman empires were all different in size, power, and in many other
ways." It is noted that Daniel use animal symbols to describe these four kingdoms. First, the
Babylonia kingdom is represented by a lion that had wings like an eagle in which stood like a man
on its two feet. It is imperative to state, "The lion's wings being torn off speaks of the king's insanity
and loss of power; standing on two feet like a man and receiving a human heart (mind) denotes
Nebuchadnezzar's humanitarian rule after his insanity; and the lion being "lifted up from the
ground" indicates that it was God who raised the king to his place of honor." Secondly, the Medo–
Persia kingdom is represented by a bear that had three ribs in its mouth, and it was commanded to
devour all flesh. This command that was given means that this empire will conqueror other empires.
Thirdly, the Greek Empire was represented by a leopard with four wings and four heads. The Greek

through 6) and apocalyptic (Daniel 7 through 12). Daniel was written by Daniel as reflected in
Daniel 9:2; 10:2. Daniel was written during 605 – 530 BC and finished after Cyrus, king of Persia
captured Babylon in 539 BC. (Bakers, 2015) The key theme of Daniel are prophecies, which always

Daniel prophesies the fall of Babylon, Medo–Persia, Greece, Rome and the first coming of the
Messiah.
Some other biblical characters that Daniel was known to associate with were his three friends
Hananiah, Mishael and Azariah well known as Shadrach, Meshach and Abednego. They were
famous for being thrown into the fiery furnace for their faith. He associated with King
Nebuchadnezzar, Darius the "Mede", Cyrus founder of the Persian Empire, and Jehoiakim King of
Judah, the "vassal of Babylon."
Daniels legacy was the prophecies of the book of Daniel that predicted the rise and fall of the
nations until the first coming of the Messiah and his great faith and steadfastness in serving and
obeying God.

Dust and sand erratically drifts through the air as the king's army advances on the city. Onlookers

Nebuchadnezzar, the dreaded ruler of Babylon, recently crushed the Egyptian armies in the cities of
Carchemish and Hamath, and now, he wishes to seize the territory they left behind (Walton 520).
Jerusalem and Judah are part of this territory, and Nebuchadnezzar fully intends to place all of it
under his control. The pitiful inhabitants of Judah can only watch as their land, possessions, and
people are taken by a foreign ruler. Judah's reigning king, Jehoiakim, has no choice but to submit
and become a vassal state of the dominant Babylonian empire (2 Ki. 24:1). Nebuchadnezzar is

605 (Elwell 1: 572). It was the first attack on Judean territory by the Babylonians, and it began the
70–year captivity of God's people in that foreign land (Jer. 25:10–11). During this period, Daniel
worked as a divinely inspired prophet of God, and at the end of his long career, he wrote the book
bearing his name in the B.C. 530s (Archer, New Encyclopedia of Bible Difficulties, 284). His work
largely emphasized history and hope with a special emphasis upon God's sovereignty (Elwell 1:
575). Until recently, nearly every Christian and Christian–oriented person believed these facts
without question (Longman 373). Critical scholars now bombard Daniel with questions and
skepticism, ultimately concluding that it is a pseudonymous work of the second–century B.C. that
was intended to encourage the Jewish people to overthrow the yoke of Syrian control (Archer, A
Survey of Old Testament Introduction, 361). However, when all the relevant issues are considered, it
becomes clear that the recent tide of skepticism concerning Daniel's dating is

Daniel And The Lion's Den: One Of The Old Testament
Daniel 6:16–24 The story of Daniel and the lion's den is one of the most famous passages of the Old
Testament. However there is more than meets the eye when reading this passage. Hidden meanings,
unnoticed gestures, and unspoken words must be analyzed to truly see the message behind this story.
Historical context Before Daniel is thrown into the lion's den, there are some key elements to reflect
on. When considering setting, it is important to recall that during this time the Babylonian Empire
has forcibly deported Israel from the Promised Land. The Chaldeans deported the Jews after they
had conquered Jerusalem. Many people were forced to relocate to the city of Babylon, the capital of
the Chaldean empire. Judah no longer existed as a kingdom, and the earlier deportees found
themselves without a homeland. This period is called the exile in Jewish history; it ends when the
Persians overthrow the Chaldeans. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The "people of the land" were fortunate enough to stay. This divided the Jewish people into two
groups during the exile: the Jews in Babylon and the Jews who remain in Judah. When
Nebuchadnezzar deported the higher–class citizens, he reset the land for the remaining citizens,
which removed the hierarchy line. In retrospect, this gave lower class citizens a better opportunity
for survival. Due to the relocation process, there were many clashes between the two groups of
Jews. It is evident that the higher–ranking Jews that resided in Babylon thought of themselves as the
true Jewish

The definition of faith is the persuasion of the mind that a certain statement is true. Its primary idea
is trust. It admits of many degrees up to full assurance of faith, in accordance with the evidence on
which it rests. Daniel was the epitome of trusting God and of being faithful. He showed confidence,
trust, and reliance in God by his convictions and beliefs in obeying the law. Daniel, David's second

At the end of his training for service to the king, he was distinguished for his wisdom and brought
into public life. Daniel's first accomplishment is denying sharing the king's food. Feeling he would
defile his body if he ate the king's food or drank his wine, he was permitted to drink water and eat
vegetables. Daniel interpreted Nebuchadnezzar's first dream of a statue made of four metals (Dan
2:1–49). When Daniel was finished, King Nebuchadnezzar fell down before him and said, "Of a
truth ... your God is a God of gods, and a Lord of kings, and a revealer of secrets" (Dan 2:46, 47).
He then interpreted a second dream of Nebuchadnezzar, (Dan 4:8–27) about a great tree, which was
a sign of the king becoming insane. The fulfillment of this dream is what converted the king to
worship God. He was called upon to explain the handwriting on the wall that disturbed the feast of
Belshazzar (Dan 5:10–28). This foretold the end of the Babylonian empire and the coming of the
Medes. For his service, he was awarded a purple robe and appointed as one of three governors over
the kingdom (Dan 6:1–2). While in the service of the new king Darius, he was thrown into the lions
den for praying to any god except Darius (Dan 6:10–23). Daniel was delivered from the lions den
and Darius made a proclamation for all to magnify Daniel's God. He prospered in the reign of

Understanding Jeremiah's Prophecy
Compulsory Service and Conditional Calamity
The original prophecy said:
"11 And all this land will be reduced to ruins and will become an object of horror, and these nations
will have to serve the king of Babylon for 70 years."' 12 "'But when 70 years have been fulfilled, I
will call to account the king of Babylon and that nation for their error,' declares Jehovah, 'and I will
make the land of the Chaldeans a desolate wasteland for all time." Jer. 2511–12
The Original Prophecy content:
1. Babylon to be used as Gods servant to punish disobedient nations including Jerusalem and Judah
2. Land to be reduced to ruins and a object of horror
3. All these nations including Jerusalem and Judah to serve Babylon 70 years explicitly.
4. Context shows that the serving Babylon for 70 years was compulsory , the calamity and ruin was
conditional the people could have served 70 years without suffering the calamity.
5. After 70 years Babylon call to account and suffers similar devastation
The Context
This is most important in understanding Jeremiah's prophecy, it is in fact the key to how the 70 years
is applied.
Jer 26:3 Perhaps they will listen and each one will turn back from his evil way, and I will change my
mind concerning the calamity that I intend to bring on them because of their evil deeds. (Calamity

How Did Nehemiah Rebuild The Wall Of Jerusalem?
In the beginning of this book of the Bible, the reader is introduced to Nehemiah, the cupbearer to
King Artaxerxes. This book of the Bible deals with the destruction of the wall of Jerusalem, and how
Nehemiah returned to help rebuild the wall. Nehemiah led the people of Jerusalem through a period
of time that saw them facing oppression and hardship, and he led them to achieve a tremendous feat.
In Nehemiah 4 it says in verses seven through nine, "But when Sanballat and Tobiah and the Arabs
and the Ammonites and the Ashdodites heard that the repairing of the walls of Jerusalem was going
forward and that the breaches were beginning to be closed, they were very angry. And they all
plotted together to come and fight against Jerusalem and to cause confusion in it. And we prayed to
our God and set a guard as a protection against them day and night" (ESV). ... Show more content

inside and outside of the wall, as well as the dedication of the wall. Finally, the last chapter of the
book of Nehemiah covers his final reforms. Nehemiah was a man that was able to lead a multitude
of people, and he was able to do so by the will of God. Nehemiah faced oppression from all sides,
and he was able to push through it all. He was able to provide a new life for his people, and this

Nebuchadnezzar's Hanging Gardens of Babylon is one of the greatest wonders. Nebuchadnezzar,
son of the Chaldean king Nabopolassar, reigned over Babylon 605 B.C.E.–562 B.C.E. During
Nebuchadnezzar's reign he obtained a leading power for Babylonia in the ancient Near East.
Nebuchadnezzar constructed a superior Babylonia by prosperity in their trading routes, rich
agricultural lands, and industries, mainly textiles and metals. Babylonia became one of the greatest
cities of the world. Babylonia was known for its temples and palaces, but the most famous was the

safety. However, after the Crusade was planned to continued into the German cities of Mainz and
Cologne, Daniel ben Jacob informed King Henry IV of Germany. Daniel ben Jacob is most well
known for his works of biblical exegesis, of which he sent to King Henry IV in order to influence
the protection of Jewish communities in Germany. His exegesis is known to be what saved the lives
of Jewish communities during the late 11th century and early 12th century. These great feat
eventually led to Daniel ben Jacob receiving the honorary title Rhineland Gaon, ("Pride of the
Rhineland"). Through the remainder of his lifetime, Rhineland Gaon worked to protect and promote
the growth of Jewish communities in Germany through his allegorical ... Show more content on

Daniel Captivity
In 605 B.C during Jehoiakim's reign, the Babylonian's king Nebuchadnezzar took Daniel and his
friends as captives when he besieged Jerusalem. Daniel was taken captive because he fit in the
standards, which the king was searching for: young men, good–looking and smart. During the time
of captivity, Daniel, the author of the book of the Bible with the same name, writes about the
dreams, visions and situations he passed in the course of the captivity. Indeed Daniel's actions
reflected the way he faced the situations, showed how he feared and was obedient to God, even
when he was placed in a room full of lions or into a furnace of blazing fire. The story of Daniel
begins in the third year Jehoiakim's reign when he was taken captive from Judah ... Show more

Daniel received also a Babylonian's name so he was called Belteshazzar (or Belshazzar) that
possibly means "Bel, protect his life." Daniel's character was tested when he decided not to eat the
king's food and proposed to the commander of the officials to eat something different to see they
would be healthier and better looking than the ones eating from the king's chosen food. After a week
eating vegetables, Daniel was healthier and better looking than the other youth. By choosing not to
eat the food from the king's table Daniel was being obedient to God's word because the food chosen
by the king was dedicated to the Babylonian's gods, probably were from unclean animals and the
blood was not taken out. Daniel received the name Belteshazzar because of the Babylonian's gods
either Marduk, or Nebo conceivably to incorporate the culture of the Babylonians and their pagan's
gods. God provided Daniel with intelligence, wisdom and a special gift: "the understanding of all
kinds of visions and dreams and as a result of that, Daniel was the one God chose to interpret the

Essay about The Book Of Daniel
The Book of Daniel The Book of Daniel took place in between 605 BC and 530 BC however the
message is still relevant in today's society, 2544 years later. Different themes are found in the book.
These themes teach a lesson which can be used into today's society. Even though the times, tradition
and circumstances are different now than it was back then the messages are greatly relevant. The
main themes of the book were about faithfulness toward what you believe in no matter what society
says or the dangers. God is trustworthy and does everything for a reason no matter if the person is in
the worst spot ever in life they have to believe there is something better in the future. Also Gods
ability to save his children in the face of danger and ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
He did not want to be greedy and he knew how to treat his body so he had to plea to not have to eat

caused the official to show favor and compassion to Daniel, 10 but the official told Daniel, "I am
afraid of my lord the king, who has assigned your[c] food and drink. Why should he see people
looking worse than the other young men your age? The king would then have my head because of
you."" (Daniel 1:8–10) It was beyond normal for anyone to refuse royal food and it was hard to talk
them into letting him eat vegetables and drink water. He proves in just a matter of ten days that
drinking water instead of wine every day and eating vegetables instead of the royal food treats the
body better and healthier. "14 So he agreed to this and tested them for ten days.15 At the end of the
ten days they looked healthier and better nourished than any of the young men who ate the royal

vegetables instead." (Daniel 1: 14–16) Later Daniel impresses King Darius and receives a

Who Is King Daniel
[2]In the beautiful city of Babylon, there once lived a man named Daniel. [1]He was an advisor to
the king. Daniel was different from the other advisors. He believed in the one true God. One day,
two of the king's other advisors watched as Daniel diligently prayed to God. [6]They hated Daniel.
He was always praying to God for guidance and he was always honest. He wanted to do the right
thing. The advisors despised him because of that. Then one day, as they watched Daniel pray, they
came up with an evil idea. They would write up a document that would say that no one would be
allowed to pray. [5]If they disobeyed this law they would be thrown into the Lion's Den like a piece
of meat. [3]Suddenly, one day after the king had signed the document, they caught him defying the
law and praying any way. They rushed into his room and dragged him to the king's throne room.

began praying to God to keep him safe if it was His will. God heard Daniel's prayers and sent an
angel to close the snarling mouths of the lions. [2]Throughout the night, none of the lions ever
bothered him. Some of them even wanted to cuddle. [3]Unceasingly, Daniel prayed all night. [5] As
he sat in the darkness untouched, he knew the advisors would come back in the morning to see if he
had been killed, which was what they wanted to happen. The next morning Daniel saw streams of
light peering thru the top of the entrance. [4]Hearing a noise above him, Daniel looked up. The king,
who had worried about him all night, was prying the top off the cavern. "Daniel," he shouted, "are
you alive? Did the God you believe and trust in protect you?" Daniel answered him and told him
that God had taken care of him and that he had sent an angel to close the mouths of the lions. The

Nebuchadnezzar II
For week one's assignment I have chosen to Select one famous person from Mesopotamia and
discuss that person's life.
I chose to write about Nebuchadnezzar II born in 630 BC. He was the oldest son and successor of
Nabopolassar, who was a former Assyrian official that was responsible for delivering Babylon from
its dependence on Assyria. After his father death in 605 BC he ascended to the throne.
Nebuchadnezzar II was the best known ruler of Babylonia he is famous for his conquests of Judah
and the destruction of the temple of Solomon, construction of the famous hanging gardens of
Babylon, and he was also responsible the Babylonian captivity of the Hebrews. During his rule as
the second king of the Chaldean dynasty, the Babylonian empire extended to the Egyptian border.
Nebuchadnezzar II defeated the Egyptians and their allies the Assyrians, he subdued Palestine and
Syria and with his consolidated power was able to control the trade routes across Mesopotamia to
the Mediterranean Sea. During his time as king Nebuchadnezzar II laid siege to Jerusalem and
destroyed the temple of Solomon in 587BC. He was the only Babylonian monarch known in
Biblical history for acts that had a weighty impact on the Jewish people, killing the king of Judah

He ensured that Babylon constructed aqueducts, and reservoirs successfully making it into one of
the wonders of the ancient world. He is also credited with the construction of the Hanging Gardens

These hanging Gardens were on a terrace supported by brick arches of Nebuchadnezzar's building

the imperial grounds, this also included building the famous Ishtar Gate which is on display today in

King Buchadnezzar 2 Research Paper
King Nebuchadnezzar II (634–562 BCE) was the greatest king of ancient Babylon, succeeding his
father, Nabopolassar. King Nabopolassar had defeated the Assyrians with the help of the Medes and
liberated Babylonia from Assyrian rule. In this way he provided for his son (as Philip II would do
for his son Alexander later) a stable base and ample wealth on which to build an opportunity for
greatness which Nebuchadnezzar took full advantage of. Nebuchadnezzar II defeated the Egyptians
and their allies the Assyrians at Carchemish, subdued Palestine and the region of Syria and,
consolidating his power, controlled all the trade routes across Mesopotamia from the Persian Gulf to
the Mediterranean Sea. Remaining true to the vision of his inaugural address, the great king spent
the tolls he collected and the taxes he gathered in creating a city which, he hoped, would be
recognized as a wonder of the world (and, indeed, his hopes were realized in later writers adding the
walls of Babylon and, in particular, the Ishtar gate to the list of the Seven Wonders of the World). In
the forty–three years of his reign, Nebuchadnezzar II made the most of the time employing a vast
army of slave labor to surround his city with walls so thick that chariot races were conducted around
the tops and which stretched fifty–six miles in length, encircling an area of two hundred square
miles.

Communicate God's Truth In Matthew Henry Daniel
Daniel successfully engages Babylonian culture by participating academically without compromise
and uses his discipline to communicate God's truth; Daniel teaches Christians how to live in the
world without becoming like the world (Dan.1; 1 Pet.1;15–16, AMP). As noted in Matthew Henry's
Commentary, Daniel stands firm in his faith, "...took pains to make himself master of the learning
and tongue of the Chaldeans... but...he was resolved that he would not defile himself..." (par.7).
Also, Daniel engages culture intellectually to demonstrate godly wisdom and communicate God's
truth, "In every matter of wisdom and understanding about which the king questioned them, he
found them ten times better than all the magicians and enchanters in his whole kingdom"

The Book Of Nehemiah In The Bible
In the Bible, the book of Nehemiah reveals the not–so–common traits of a man named Nehemiah.
Through God, Nehemiah restored the hope of the Israelites and rebuilt the wall of Jerusalem.
Because of Nehemiah's open heart and strong faith in the Lord, he was used in miraculous ways.
The story of Nehemiah starts out with a cup and a king. The Jew Nehemiah was appointed
cupbearer of the King Artaxerxes, and as Nehemiah was a man of strong faith and character, he
found favor in the king's eyes. Since the king trusted Nehemiah so much, he noticed his cupbearer's
unusual sadness one day. He asked what troubled him, and Nehemiah explained that his people (the
Jews), who had been returned to Jerusalem after seventy years of captivity, had not yet rebuilt their
walls which meant they were not safe from enemies. Although Nehemiah had not been to the city
yet, he was saddened because of the city's culture and history with God. !1 ... Show more content

the beams of the gates, the city wall, and the place that he will stay. The king agreed to this, and also
sent army officers and cavalry with Nehemiah. God answered Nehemiah's prayers and provided him

Why Did God Give Nebuchadnezzar Siege Jerusalem?
The book of Daniel is the 29th book in the bible. It shows the people of Israel and Babylon what he
will do to the wicked people. It also shows that God will not abandon anyone who trusts him. He
will recreate them because of their sin if they trust in him. Is the book of Daniel to show the
Babylonians that God is glorious over the whole world and not Babylonians god? I have some
questions regarding King Nebuchadnezzar in the book of David. Why did King Nebuchadnezzar
siege Jerusalem? Why did he capture the Israelites? Why did God give Nebuchadnezzar some of the
vessels of the temple of God? Did Nebuchadnezzar know they were from the Temple of God

Book Summary: The Bronze Bow
Bronze Bow Good Copy
His life was changed. His parents were snatched from his world by the Romans. Now Daniel is set
on avenging their death. Daniel is stuck in a world of dark hatred. He needs to find the light in the
world, and become a better person. The Bronze Bow is a book about an 18 year old Jewish boy
named Daniel. It's about how Daniel has changed from a not very loving person, into a completely
different one. At first Daniel wasn't one to be kind towards the Romans, he didn't follow Jesus or
understand him and he left his family. Leah, his sister, was left alone with only her grandma, and she
was consumed by demons. She missed Daniel at first, then she forgot him. When Daniel left he
didn't come back for a really long time. He was never around because of what happened to his
parents. Daniel changed over the course of this book. I believe this because I think he chose to leave
his hate behind and he turned into a new person. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Near the very end of the book things change. Daniel finds out that his sister Leah has been hanging
out with a young Roman guy named Marcus. He figured this out when Marcus arrived at Daniel's
and Leah's doorstep with a basket of fruit. Daniel hits the basket of fruit to the ground, and tells the
Roman to get out. Daniel started the book with so much hatred towards the Romans but near the end
of the book he realizes what he did to the Romans and Marcus, was wrong and he goes out to talk to
him. Once he is finished he asks Marcus if he would like to come into his house and say "hi" to
Leah. I still don't think that all his anger towards the Romans has subsided, but I do believe that it
has softened because he chose to treat his sister differently by putting Leah above himself. I believe
this is a way that Daniel has changed throughout the book because he he shows kindness towards
the Romans, he also does what's important to

Daniel Chapter 3 Hebrew Men Analysis
In this essay I will be writing about The Three Hebrew Men. This story comes from the book of
Daniel chapter 3. It is about three men whose names were: Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego.
The bible makes us to understand that the king of the Babylon empire at that time was king
Nebuchadnezzar. The story starts off when Nebuchadnezzar built a statute of Gold. Then he invited
important people from all over the land to come and see the statute that he built. Daniel chapter 3
verse 4 –5 says: Then a herald cried aloud: "To you it is commanded, O peoples, nations, and
languages, that at the time you hear the sound of the horn, flute, harp, lyre, and psaltery, in
symphony with all kinds of music, you shall fall down and worship the gold image that King
Nebuchadnezzar has set up. " king Nebuchadnezzar had asked all the people who came to see the
statue to fall down and worship the statue. Meanwhile it is written in the bible that when the

This project, primarily intends to poetically reconstruct events from the story of the life of Daniel, a
God–fearing man, extremely knowledgeable, wise, from a royal bloodline who faced extreme
difficulties and immensely dire circumstances because of his faith. Under the continually changing
kings, who had overthrown his homeland, Daniel, unexpectedly became among the most powerful
people in the entire land, after the Kings made use of his God–given gift of interpreting dreams. In
the face of radical change, Daniel thrived when thought humanly impossible considering his odds.

happenings, some of which deeply disturb Daniel's spirit. In others, Daniel expresses physical
weakness, doubting his ability to even function, all the while knowing that God will renew his

The Pros And Cons Of Anti-Semitism
A widely spoken about topic in America is "Isms," they can be described as ways to discriminate
practices, cultures, and groups of people; moreover, there are lsists upon lists of "isms" in today's
society being used to discriminate. Significant oppressions in today's society are racism and
transphobia, and a similar case would be the discrimination of Jews. Represented as anti–Semitism,
this can be defined as, "Hostility toward or discrimination against Jews as a religious, ethnic, or
racial group"("Anti–Semitism").
Although Adolf Hitler's reign of terror had a significant part in defining anti–Semitism, this dates as
far back to the ancient Roman times. In 70 AD the dawn of anti–Semitism was exhibited when,
"Roman authorities destroyed the Jewish temple in Jerusalem and forced Jews to leave Palestine"
("The Holocaust"). Not only were Jews discriminated against prior in World War II and the
Holocaust, today, it is said that, " Israeli Jews all but universally say anti–Semitism is at least
somewhat common around the world today, including nearly two–thirds who say it is very
common." ("Anti–Semitism and discrimination").
Israeli Jews have a strong opinion that, "roughly three–quarters say anti–Semitism is not only
common but on the rise globally, while virtually no Israeli Jews say it is decreasing" (Anti–
Semitism and discrimination); On the other hand, Americans have an opposing view of the incline
of anti–Semitism. Based on a HuffPost/YouGov survey, "Thirty–five percent of

Daniel's Interpretation Of King Nebuchadnezzar
Daniel 2:43–49, an excerpt from Daniel's interpretation of King Nebuchadnezzar, shows the power
of God's connection with his children. Daniel, during the explanation of Nebuchadnezzar's dream,
depicts a statue with a head made of gold, the chest and arms of silver, its belly and thighs of bronze,
its legs of iron, its feet partly of iron and partly of clay (6). Daniel then tells Nebuchadnezzar that he
is the head of gold, the silver part of the statue is an inferior kingdom that will replace him, and the
bronze part is a third nation that will "rule over the whole earth." As you advance down the statue,
the iron kingdom will be one that "crushes and smashes everything." Then the kingdom will be
divided, which is symbolized by the clay and iron feet. Finally, a stone will be thrown at the statue;
this stone was a symbol of God's Kingdom and this kingdom will stand forever (4). As Daniel told
this to King Nebuchadnezzar, the ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
He believed that the only reason why Daniel would know how to interpret his dream the way he did
was by being the direct words from God. Nebuchadnezzar saw Daniel's God as the Revealer of
secrets and the secrets held within his dream was opened by the messenger of God, Daniel. Since
Daniel was the messenger of God, Nebuchadnezzar believed that he must reward him with the
highest honor and show him respect. I find it interesting in the fact that the King does not dismiss
the other gods, but instead says that God is the God of all Gods. I find that quite hypocritical as the
second commandments say "You shall have no other gods before Me" (Exodus 20:3 NKJV).
Nebuchadnezzar goes against the second commandment and refers to other gods when referring to

King Nebuchadnezzar II Of Babylon

  • 1. King Nebuchadnezzar II Of Babylon Since the BC era, people have believed they are safe from harm. King Nebuchadnezzar II of Babylon felt secure behind the walls that surrounded his city. He'd often feast while the Persian army tried to destroy his city. The Persians once entered by wading along the riverbed that ran into the city. King Nebuchadnezzar II didn't think that his city's water supply would become a threat to his kingdom (Shenk, 2013). The river caused a weakness among the city and the Persians were able to find it. King Nebuchadnezzar II had paid for this mistake and was killed by the Persians. Technology has it's own walls to protect it from harm. We create layers of security, such as antiviruses to protect it from harm. Unfortunately, there are weaknesses just like Babylon had. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... There are always weaknesses in the walls and if an attacker is persistent, many times they can get through it. Malicious people attack web applications, operating systems and go deeper into your hardware to harm it (Shenk, 2013). Malicious people send viruses that can often be sent through emails or even advertisements. Sometimes clicking on links that aren't legit harms a device. Most attackers are able to get through the network security because of the person operating the device. Sometimes clicking on links that aren't legit harms a device. The people using the devices are at fault because they shouldn't feel secure with their malware. King Nebuchadnezzar II was too comfortable with his wall (Shenk, 2013). We start to feel secure when layers are built because we believe it can fully stop the problems, however, it's not made to eliminate the problem for good. In modern day society, we have built seven layers of security to help eliminate attackers from harming ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

  • 3. The First Book Of Nephi Summary Book Review: The First Book of Nephi: His Reign and Ministry Nephi was one of the sons of Lehi. Lehi received visions from the Lord and began attempting to repent the people of Jerusalem. After his attempted murder from those angered by his preaching, Lehi listened to God's commands and left Jerusalem. Shortly afterwards, God commands Lehi to send his four sons back to Jerusalem so that they may retrieve 'The Brass Plates' held by Jerusalem's powerful leader Laban. The brothers failed during their first couple attempts to take the 'Plates' from Laban, but once Nephi traveled alone and prayed to the Lord, he was successful in defeating Laban with his own sword, which had been commanded by God, and returning the 'Brass Plates' to his father who spend times ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Not long after Nephi's brothers attempt to kill him, Lehi has a vision of the "Tree of Life" and takes it as a sign to continue his teachings about God and to convince his family to keep his commandments. Nephi prays and receives the same vision along with its interpretations that shows the future for the sons and their children. Lehi' s sons later marry the daughters of Ishmael and discover in which they use travel the Red Sea to find the Americas. On this journey Nephi proves once more that there is a God and his commandments should be followed, when his bow breaks but his strong faith and will strengthened him enough to rebuild another bow and continue to guide his family on their journey. The brothers are trialed many other times during their journey, but finally Nephi's abusive older brothers began to exhibit some sort of faith when Nephi commands them not to kill his father nor touch himself or they would both die. Commanded by God, Nephi then touches his brothers, making them believers. Once they reached Americas, Nephi was left in charge because of Lehi's death. • 5. Nebuchadnezzar Research Paper There is no doubt that Nebuchadnezzar was as ruthless as described by Mrs. Murphy. When Jehoahaz became King of Egypt, Necho got rid of him and Judah became part of Egypt. When the Babylonians defeated Egypt in 605 BC, Judah then became part of Babylon. The Babylonians were defeated by Babylonian King Nebuchadnezzar, raised an expedition to punish Judah. Zedekiah was appointed king of Judah. Nebuchadnezzar deported around 10,000 people. Most of these people were professionals, wealthy, and craftsmen. Nebuchadnezzar caught Zedekia after he had defeated from Babylonians and forced him to watch the murder of his own son, then blinded him and deported him to Babylon. Once again, Nebuchadnezzar deported professional, educated, wealthy citizens. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... The exiles were free to engage in their professions, trades, and organize themselves in communities. The deported Jews formed their own community in Babylon and continue to practice their religion and philosophies. Some Jews adapted to the Chaldean religion. This religion was named by their offspring after Chaldean god, but for the most of the community remained united in its common faith in Yahweh. The Jews called themselves the "gola, "exiles", or the "bene gola", which means "the children of the exiles". They forged a new national identity and a new religion. The exile was something that could not be defined. The Hebrew history, it was built on the promise of Yahweh to protect the Hebrews and use them for his purposes in human history. Their defeat and the loss of the land promised to them by Yahweh seemed to imply that their faith in this promise was misplaced. This crisis precipitated the most profound loss or the most profound reworking of a worldview. For the Jews in Babylon, it was both that contributed. However, there was no temple to worship in. They had to learn a new more personal relation between man and God. The Jews compare it to being as catastrophic as the ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

Daniel is visibly worried about these beasts and is told that the fourth beast will be overcome by the Most High. The beast will be judged and will be put away. The temporary kingdom set up by this beast will be conquered by the everlasting kingdom. For the people reading Daniel, they saw the faith of him and his friends in the earlier chapters. These stories reinforce the idea of having faith under great persecution. Daniel would not give in to the oppressors, and that is what the people under the Greek oppression are being called to do as well. This gives them hope for a future. God will judge their oppressors. This hope alludes not only to the people living right now but to future times. One day one man who was Ahaziah spoke to his friends and said,"Daniel is preventing our evil plans from coming to pass." The other friend Micah replied,"But what can we do?" King Darius replied,"What do you mean by this?" The men answered,"We mean that you should make a rule that says: Worship only Darius as the supreme God of the universe in Babylon!" In addition, the King was amazed and said,"But how will I let all the people of Babylon worship me? I'm not a god, moreover, the true God of heaven might be angry." The men replied,"Oh King, leave that to us. Only put the rule in writing and seal it with your ring." The next day Daniel was praying as usual. • 15. The Power Of The Second Daniel, Joseph, and Mike Pence! The Power of the Second I heard the Lord say: "Mike Pence will be My Daniel and Joseph in America, for there is power in My second–in–command!" Donald Trump 's landmark victory as the soon–to–be 45th president of the United States shakes the political paradigm as we know it, turning the world on its ear. Lance Wallnau, a refreshing Dallas– based prophetic voice in the business world and the church, has been prophesying about Donald Trump for over a year in videos and posts all over social media to a growing audience of 200,000 or more. In his landmark and popular book released in September 2016 he describes Donald Trump as: "God 's Chaos candidate." This term is based on a word he received from the Lord: In a Charisma News article dated October 5, entitled "Why I Believe Donald Trump is the Prophesied President, he said this: "I heard the Lord say: 'Donald Trump is a wrecking ball to the spirit of political correctness.'" Wallnau is not alone in his belief; well known prophets including Dutch Sheets, Chuck Pierce, Kim Clement, Rick Joyner, and Elijah List founder Steve Shultz, as well as many other prophetic voices around the world felt it was a turning point in history for which Donald Trump was the chosen vessel God would use to change the direction of our nation. Now here we stand to make no bones about it; Donald Trump is president–elect and will take office on January 20. Until then our divided country will try to heal and find its ... Daniel is depicted as an apocalyptic writer because in the Hebrew Bible, Daniel had dreams and visions which also involved angelic intermediaries Daniel 's writings also involve a comprehensive view of prophetic history. This prophetic history begins with a young Jewish exile around the 600BC –586 who had experienced persecution, and intimidation, but once in Babylon impressed the leaders with his intellect and good perception. Daniel interpreted King Nebuchadnezzar 's (the king of Babylon) dream (Daniel 2:31–33)." A single great: statue; that statue which was large and of extraordinary splendor, was standing in front of you, and its appearance was awesome. The head of that statue was made of fine gold, its arms of silver, its belly and its thighs of bronze, its legs of iron, its feet partly of iron and partly of clay. You continued looking until a stone was cut out without hands, and it struck the statue on its feet iron any clay and crushed them. Then the iron, the clay, the bronze, the silver, and the gold were crushed all at the same time and became like chaff from the summer threshing floors; and the wind carried them away so that not a trace of them found. • 19. Explain The Four Kingdoms In The Book Of Daniel Discussion Board 1 In the Book of Daniel the 7th chapter it is record that Daniel mentioned four great kingdoms. The four great kingdoms that Daniel mentioned are Babylon, Medo–Persia, Greece, and Rome. Daniel stated in detail that these four kingdoms would come out the earth. "The Babylonian, Persian, Greek, and Roman empires were all different in size, power, and in many other ways." It is noted that Daniel use animal symbols to describe these four kingdoms. First, the Babylonia kingdom is represented by a lion that had wings like an eagle in which stood like a man on its two feet. It is imperative to state, "The lion's wings being torn off speaks of the king's insanity and loss of power; standing on two feet like a man and receiving a human heart (mind) denotes Nebuchadnezzar's humanitarian rule after his insanity; and the lion being "lifted up from the ground" indicates that it was God who raised the king to his place of honor." Secondly, the Medo– Persia kingdom is represented by a bear that had three ribs in its mouth, and it was commanded to devour all flesh. This command that was given means that this empire will conqueror other empires. Thirdly, the Greek Empire was represented by a leopard with four wings and four heads. The Greek ... They all know what will soon happen. Nebuchadnezzar, the dreaded ruler of Babylon, recently crushed the Egyptian armies in the cities of Carchemish and Hamath, and now, he wishes to seize the territory they left behind (Walton 520). Jerusalem and Judah are part of this territory, and Nebuchadnezzar fully intends to place all of it under his control. The pitiful inhabitants of Judah can only watch as their land, possessions, and people are taken by a foreign ruler. Judah's reigning king, Jehoiakim, has no choice but to submit and become a vassal state of the dominant Babylonian empire (2 Ki. 24:1). It was the first attack on Judean territory by the Babylonians, and it began the 70–year captivity of God's people in that foreign land (Jer. 25:10–11). During this period, Daniel worked as a divinely inspired prophet of God, and at the end of his long career, he wrote the book bearing his name in the B.C. 530s (Archer, New Encyclopedia of Bible Difficulties, 284). His work largely emphasized history and hope with a special emphasis upon God's sovereignty (Elwell 1: 575). Until recently, nearly every Christian and Christian–oriented person believed these facts without question (Longman 373). Critical scholars now bombard Daniel with questions and skepticism, ultimately concluding that it is a pseudonymous work of the second–century B.C. that was intended to encourage the Jewish people to overthrow the yoke of Syrian control (Archer, A Survey of Old Testament Introduction, 361). However there is more than meets the eye when reading this passage. Hidden meanings, unnoticed gestures, and unspoken words must be analyzed to truly see the message behind this story. Historical context Before Daniel is thrown into the lion's den, there are some key elements to reflect on. When considering setting, it is important to recall that during this time the Babylonian Empire has forcibly deported Israel from the Promised Land. The Chaldeans deported the Jews after they had conquered Jerusalem. Many people were forced to relocate to the city of Babylon, the capital of the Chaldean empire. Judah no longer existed as a kingdom, and the earlier deportees found themselves without a homeland. Daniel interpreted Nebuchadnezzar's first dream of a statue made of four metals (Dan 2:1–49). When Daniel was finished, King Nebuchadnezzar fell down before him and said, "Of a truth ... your God is a God of gods, and a Lord of kings, and a revealer of secrets" (Dan 2:46, 47). He then interpreted a second dream of Nebuchadnezzar, (Dan 4:8–27) about a great tree, which was a sign of the king becoming insane. The fulfillment of this dream is what converted the king to worship God. He was called upon to explain the handwriting on the wall that disturbed the feast of Belshazzar (Dan 5:10–28). This foretold the end of the Babylonian empire and the coming of the Medes. For his service, he was awarded a purple robe and appointed as one of three governors over the kingdom (Dan 6:1–2). While in the service of the new king Darius, he was thrown into the lions den for praying to any god except Darius (Dan 6:10–23). • 51. King Buchadnezzar 2 Research Paper King Nebuchadnezzar II (634–562 BCE) was the greatest king of ancient Babylon, succeeding his father, Nabopolassar. King Nabopolassar had defeated the Assyrians with the help of the Medes and liberated Babylonia from Assyrian rule. In this way he provided for his son (as Philip II would do for his son Alexander later) a stable base and ample wealth on which to build an opportunity for greatness which Nebuchadnezzar took full advantage of. Nebuchadnezzar II defeated the Egyptians and their allies the Assyrians at Carchemish, subdued Palestine and the region of Syria and, consolidating his power, controlled all the trade routes across Mesopotamia from the Persian Gulf to the Mediterranean Sea. Remaining true to the vision of his inaugural address, the great king spent the tolls he collected and the taxes he gathered in creating a city which, he hoped, would be recognized as a wonder of the world (and, indeed, his hopes were realized in later writers adding the walls of Babylon and, in particular, the Ishtar gate to the list of the Seven Wonders of the World). In the forty–three years of his reign, Nebuchadnezzar II made the most of the time employing a vast army of slave labor to surround his city with walls so thick that chariot races were conducted around the tops and which stretched fifty–six miles in length, encircling an area of two hundred square miles. ... He asked what troubled him, and Nehemiah explained that his people (the Jews), who had been returned to Jerusalem after seventy years of captivity, had not yet rebuilt their walls which meant they were not safe from enemies. He accepted the bondage of eating the king's food at the king's table and being torn apart from his family, ripped out of everything he has known, and being trained to work for a pagan king. He also accepted the pagan education and a new pagan name. He had to make three important decisions every day. Daniel had to take part in a pagan education, put up with being called a pagan name, and eating pagan food. He and his friends exceeded the physical development of their novitiates not because of their genius or diet, but because "God gave Daniel knowledge and skill in every aspect of literature and wisdom" (1: 17). In every matter of wisdom and understanding concerning the King inquires; Daniel's influence assisted in every matter due to the power of his God. He knew sharing a meal at the king's table meant sharing the king's values. Eating together implies friendship, support, endorsement, and shared values. Eating the food in this type of situation represented a moral compromise of everything he had hoped for. His influence on biblical events is important to learn from because it teaches that a person cannot corrupt a man from the outside. • 65. Book Summary: The Bronze Bow Bronze Bow Good Copy His life was changed. His parents were snatched from his world by the Romans. Now Daniel is set on avenging their death. Daniel is stuck in a world of dark hatred. He needs to find the light in the world, and become a better person. The Bronze Bow is a book about an 18 year old Jewish boy named Daniel. It's about how Daniel has changed from a not very loving person, into a completely different one. At first Daniel wasn't one to be kind towards the Romans, he didn't follow Jesus or understand him and he left his family. Leah, his sister, was left alone with only her grandma, and she was consumed by demons. She missed Daniel at first, then she forgot him. When Daniel left he didn't come back for a really long time. He was never around because of what happened to his parents. Daniel changed over the course of this book. I believe this because I think he chose to leave his hate behind and he turned into a new person. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Near the very end of the book things change. Daniel finds out that his sister Leah has been hanging out with a young Roman guy named Marcus. He figured this out when Marcus arrived at Daniel's and Leah's doorstep with a basket of fruit. Daniel hits the basket of fruit to the ground, and tells the Roman to get out. Daniel started the book with so much hatred towards the Romans but near the end of the book he realizes what he did to the Romans and Marcus, was wrong and he goes out to talk to him. Once he is finished he asks Marcus if he would like to come into his house and say "hi" to Leah. I still don't think that all his anger towards the Romans has subsided, but I do believe that it has softened because he chose to treat his sister differently by putting Leah above himself. I believe this is a way that Daniel has changed throughout the book because he he shows kindness towards the Romans, he also does what's important to ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

It's about 3 guys, Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego who refuse to worship this guy, Nebuchadnezzar's, idol. So they are thrown into a fire as punishment. But due to their faith in God, they are saved from the fire. Then, because of their faith in God, and have been rescued by him, Nebuchadnezzar promotes them and admits he was wrong before. In the nonfiction account of this story (aka: Daniel Chapter 3 of the bible); Nebuchadnezzar forces the people of Babalon to worship his idol whenever they heard the "the sound of the horn, pipe, lyre, trigon, harp, bagpipe, and every kind of music, [they were] to fall down and worship the golden image that King Nebuchadnezzar has ... • 69. Daniel Chapter 3 Hebrew Men Analysis In this essay I will be writing about The Three Hebrew Men. This story comes from the book of Daniel chapter 3. It is about three men whose names were: Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego. The bible makes us to understand that the king of the Babylon empire at that time was king Nebuchadnezzar. The story starts off when Nebuchadnezzar built a statute of Gold. Then he invited important people from all over the land to come and see the statute that he built. Daniel chapter 3 verse 4 –5 says: Then a herald cried aloud: "To you it is commanded, O peoples, nations, and languages, that at the time you hear the sound of the horn, flute, harp, lyre, and psaltery, in symphony with all kinds of music, you shall fall down and worship the gold image that King Nebuchadnezzar has set up. " king Nebuchadnezzar had asked all the people who came to see the statue to fall down and worship the statue. Meanwhile it is written in the bible that when the Israelites where in the wilderness God gave them the 10 commandments. When king Nebuchadnezzar asked them to worship the image he was going against one of the 10 ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... They said to the king: "O Nebuchadnezzar, we have no need to answer you in this matter. 17 If that is the case, our God whom we serve is able to deliver us from the burning fiery furnace, and He will deliver us from your hand, O king."(Daniel 3:16–17). Daniel and his friends Shadrach, Meshach and Abed–nego honor God by not eating the Kings food of choices and wine. • 73. Daniel 4 This project, primarily intends to poetically reconstruct events from the story of the life of Daniel, a God–fearing man, extremely knowledgeable, wise, from a royal bloodline who faced extreme difficulties and immensely dire circumstances because of his faith. Under the continually changing kings, who had overthrown his homeland, Daniel, unexpectedly became among the most powerful people in the entire land, after the Kings made use of his God–given gift of interpreting dreams. In the face of radical change, Daniel thrived when thought humanly impossible considering his odds. In the midst of his troubles, he trusted God, never shrinking, even while in a den of lions, despite every logical reason to fear and doubt that God would rescue him. ... In certain verses, which will appear in the form of visions, God confides in Daniel through visions of future happenings, some of which deeply disturb Daniel's spirit. In others, Daniel expresses physical weakness, doubting his ability to even function, all the while knowing that God will renew his strength, notwithstanding continual contrasting evidence. For example, Daniel laments, "I am overcome with anguish, because of your vision, my Lord , and have become very weak." (Daniel 10.16). • 75. The Pros And Cons Of Anti-Semitism A widely spoken about topic in America is "Isms," they can be described as ways to discriminate practices, cultures, and groups of people; moreover, there are lsists upon lists of "isms" in today's society being used to discriminate. Significant oppressions in today's society are racism and transphobia, and a similar case would be the discrimination of Jews. Represented as anti–Semitism, this can be defined as, "Hostility toward or discrimination against Jews as a religious, ethnic, or racial group"("Anti–Semitism"). Although Adolf Hitler's reign of terror had a significant part in defining anti–Semitism, this dates as far back to the ancient Roman times. In 70 AD the dawn of anti–Semitism was exhibited when, "Roman authorities destroyed the Jewish temple in Jerusalem and forced Jews to leave Palestine" ("The Holocaust"). Not only were Jews discriminated against prior in World War II and the Holocaust, today, it is said that, " Israeli Jews all but universally say anti–Semitism is at least somewhat common around the world today, including nearly two–thirds who say it is very common." ("Anti–Semitism and discrimination"). Israeli Jews have a strong opinion that, "roughly three–quarters say anti–Semitism is not only common but on the rise globally, while virtually no Israeli Jews say it is decreasing" (Anti– Semitism and discrimination); On the other hand, Americans have an opposing view of the incline of anti–Semitism. • 77. Daniel's Interpretation Of King Nebuchadnezzar Daniel 2:43–49, an excerpt from Daniel's interpretation of King Nebuchadnezzar, shows the power of God's connection with his children. Daniel, during the explanation of Nebuchadnezzar's dream, depicts a statue with a head made of gold, the chest and arms of silver, its belly and thighs of bronze, its legs of iron, its feet partly of iron and partly of clay (6). Daniel then tells Nebuchadnezzar that he is the head of gold, the silver part of the statue is an inferior kingdom that will replace him, and the bronze part is a third nation that will "rule over the whole earth." As you advance down the statue, the iron kingdom will be one that "crushes and smashes everything." Then the kingdom will be divided, which is symbolized by the clay and iron feet. Finally, a stone will be thrown at the statue; this stone was a symbol of God's Kingdom and this kingdom will stand forever (4). As Daniel told this to King Nebuchadnezzar, the ... Nebuchadnezzar saw Daniel's God as the Revealer of secrets and the secrets held within his dream was opened by the messenger of God, Daniel. Since Daniel was the messenger of God, Nebuchadnezzar believed that he must reward him with the highest honor and show him respect. I find it interesting in the fact that the King does not dismiss the other gods, but instead says that God is the God of all Gods. I find that quite hypocritical as the second commandments say "You shall have no other gods before Me" (Exodus 20:3 NKJV).
