Week four assignment
Meaning of Emerging Adulthood
Emerging adulthood is the period of life from about age 18 through age 25, during which young people are exploring the possibilities of their lives and
beginning to define themselves as adults, rather than teenagers. They shared the perception of "feeling in between" – knowing they were pulling clear
of the struggles of adolescence and starting to feel responsible for themselves,, but still closely tied to their parents and family.
Emerging adulthood can be defined as an:
Age of identity exploration: young people decide who they are and what they want out of work, school and love.

The caste systems, the practice of arrange marriages, the popular view of human development, the collectivistic nature of the society, and Indian rites of
passage all have their foundation in Hinduism.
Arrange marriage is considered a union or alliance between families and important to continuing the genetic line. It is believed that such an important
decision can't be left for inexperienced youth who may not follow the rules of marriage. According to Hindu scripture the marriage of Hindu is seen as
the beginning one of the stage in human development. Morality is tied to fulfilling social responsibilities toward others.
Collectivism is associated with such solidarity and integration in social groups in which people place the interests of the group above self–interests.
The traditional Hindu joint family is an example of collectivism.
Gender relations within the joint family were highly regulated through regular gender segregation. Women's status in the family was low, based on age
of her husband and increased when she bore a son.
Aspect of emerging adult in Indian culture
Hinduism plays very unique role in Indian culture. As discussed earlier, arrange marriage, caste system, gender relation plays a part in modern day
Indian culture. The following sections will examine how each of these topics might possibly relate to emerging adulthood in India.

CROSS CULTURAL MANAGEMENT
MY CULTURAL PROFILE
My cultural background and the groups that I am a part of can be divided into four categories: Educational, Social and Religious, National and
Organizational. I come from a place where there are the highest number of languages and cultures reside, India which is meant for its religious and
cultural beliefs and where there are people of different religions worshipping and following different gods and goddesses. It's a birthplace of
Hinduism, Buddhism, Jainism and Sikhism, collectively known as Indian religions. I follow Jainism. Jainism is a religion that started back in India

People of north India prefer different food while people from south are different. But every religion has its own speciality. In my religion , we believe
in vegan food (excluding egg). I have never tasted non–veg food as I follow my religion.
India is one of the most diverse countries in the world when it comes to culture and religions. As a result, the celebration of holidays and festivals,
whether traditional or religious, has always been an important part of Indian culture. Indians enjoy celebrating their differences and sharing their
traditions with others and due to the variety of different groups in India, there is a festival celebrated most days out of the year in some part of the
country. As diverse as India is, there are three national holidays that are celebrated everywhere and by everyone and several religious holidays that
are celebrated by so many people they are considered to be public holidays. Diwali is the biggest Hindu celebration in India and marks the beginning of
the Indian New Year. It is called the festival of lights and celebrates the victory of good over evil.
Besides Diwali, Holi and Rakhi are popular
festivals. Holi is the celebration of colors and Rakhi is the celebration of the brother–sister relationship. Many more such festivals like Ganeshchaturthi,
Navratri, Karwachauth, Onam, Baisakhi, Lohri, etc are celebrated in India that spread the message of love, peace

Case Analysis
Lang and Patel both have different ideas of what strategy should be implemented in India. The target customer is a major difference where Patel wants
to focus on the low–end brushes for first time users, when Lang thinks it is better to concentrate on mid–range brushes and battery operated products
for customers with higher income. The three primary messages that the company uses to market their products are:
1) Persuading consumers to brush for the first time
2) Increasing the incidence of brushing and
3) Persuading consumers to upgrade to midrange or premium products.
Patel, who wants to focus on reaching consumers buying the low–end products, essentially needs to imbue most of the advertising budget into the first
message, which persuades consumers to brush for the first time. This is because 50% of Indians are not concerned with preventing or curing dental
problems, especially in rural areas, if she aims to significantly improve sales she needs to educate these customers on the importance of oral hygiene. By
educating this group, Cottle can capture this demographic and make a great profit. It is essential to start with this huge demographic of Indians who do
not use tooth brushes to turn them into lifelong customers who will later on purchase more advanced dental products to

Essay On Indian Historiography
How the Indian historiography has evolved from precolonial to post–colonial period?
Over the three millenniums, India has developed opulent and complex layers of culture, since geographically India lies at crossroads of trading routes.
From ancient times, people from diverse background and ethnicity came into India as traders and invaders via land as well as sea routes. They settled
down here and, over the time, India assimilated them in its cultural and social mosaic. Also, India remained a home of host of empires and kingdoms
with each having a peculiar history. Pre–colonial empires and kingships had history but it would be told orally and would occasionally be chronicled. It
were the Europeans particularly the British armed with documentation and statistical knowledge who introduced a systematic chronology of the Indian
history upon seizing India. The modern Indian historiography was ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
. As Jalal and Bose have argued that "the cracking and crumbling of the modern nation–state system, the disintegration of the socialist alternative, the
disillusionment with the false promises of capitalism, and the resurgence of redefined social identities thought to have been obliterated by the
steam–roller of modernization have all rendered interpretations of the modern era in South Asian and world history much more complex. Recent themes
in South Asian historiography have been the role of intermediate social groups in the construction of the British raj and that of 'subaltern' social groups
in anti–colonial resistance; the part played by the colonial state in the reinvention of communal and caste categories; the refashioning of social
relations of class by the linking of Indian economic regions to wider capitalist systems; and the impact of the interplay between national, communal
and regional levels of politics on the process of

Globalization Is A Major Point Of Negativity
Globalization is defined in many ways. "Globalization generally refers to the expansion of global communications, growing social and political
interdependence and the development of a planetary rather than national awareness among many of the world's people (Anderson, 98)." The process
of globalization is allowing people from all over the world be more interconnected with one another. The process is seen in many different ways. Our
clothing is no longer made in the United States, today we look at the tags and see "Made in Indonesia" or "Product of Venezuela". Many companies
such as Microsoft, Nike, and Wal–Mart are reaching people in places that were not considered feasible markets only 30 years ago. Globalization has
been a subject to controversy by both the richest and the poorest of countries. Outsourcing is a major point of negativity in this new interconnected
world. Many jobs are lost from workers in the developed nations and sent to developing nations who will supply workers for less.
There are many causes of globalization. We cannot put our finger on any one particular change in our culture that has led to the larger
interconnectedness of nations. Globalization has been around for a long time, going back to mercantilism of the 16th through 18th centuries. Today's
vast globalization may be attributed to the formation of the United Nations in 1945. Along with the United Nations, the creation of the World Trade
Organization has accelerated this trend with trade

Mr. and Mrs. Iyer is an artistic piece of fictional creative media completed in 2002 by the famed Indian movie director, Aparna Sen. In this film, Indian
attitudes regarding gender roles, love, and families are expressed through the protagonist, Meenakshi, and her role as a family manager despite her
advanced education; the loving and dedicated wife, Najma Ahmed Khan, of the elderly Muslim passenger on the bus, Iqbal Ahmed Khan, and her
sacrifices in the defense of her husband; and Meenakshi's ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Considering that Mani is the only source of income within the family, as a woman her status within the household was largely dependent on the
husband. "A woman 's sole purpose in life is to devote her life to her husband and children. Indian society is one that is male dominated and this is still
the thought within the home. " (Gender, Culture, India , 2014) The role of women in India in one deeply rooted in tradition, as many women of high
caste were restricted to the confines of their household.
This practice prolongs the oppression of women by maintaining a status inferior to the men.
As the bus was invaded by rioting Hindu mobs, the mob leader attempts to forcibly remove the Iqbal Khan from the bus after he is revealed to be a
Muslim. During his many attempts to expel the Muslim, his dedicated wife rises to the defense of her husband. The Hindus physically assault her,
and afterwards extracted the both of them from the bus. Later, it is revealed that they were both murdered. Faced with dangerous men toting deadly
weapons, she likely forecasted the outcome of the situation. Yet despite the perils, she still defended her husband. If she were to become a widow, the
concept of a secondary marriage would taint the purity of a female. " Secondary unions are considered a concession to human weakness. The first
marriage has a sacramental character and is a samskara that cannot be repeated." (Dube, Gender and

Examples Of Magical Realism In Midnight's Children
''Reality; Never As Straight–forward As it Appears''(Rubsinson, 33–34)
Salman Rushdie's Midnight's Children invites readers to dive into the recent history of modern and postcolonial India. The story is told by the narrator
and protagonist, Saleem Sinai, who can be seen as an allegory for India. Born at midnight 15 August 1947, when India gained its independence from
the British rule, Saleem believes that he is ''handcuffed to history''(Rushdie, 6). 'From Saleems perspective, what happens to him, happens to the
country'(Rubinson, 33). Rushdie, in this way, uses a mix of fantasy and realism to connect Saleems destiny to the destiny of the country. The mix is
best described as the genre magical realism: 'Magical realism is a combination of realism ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
After the partition, the state of Kashmir happened to share borders with both Pakistan and India. Since Kashmir had a Hindu leader but a
predominantly Muslim population, a conflict was inevitable. The struggle of which nation would incorporate the state led eventually to the first
India–Pakistan War in 1947. The war ended in 1948 with UN interference, Kashmir joined the Republic of India, while the Pakistani Government
continued to believe that the Muslim state belonged to Pakistan (The Office Historian). Saleem claims that the war, which resumed in 1965,
occurred for two reasons: 'because I dreamed Kashmir into the fantasies of our rules; furthermore, [because] I remained impure, and therefore the
war was to separate me from my sins.'(Rushdie, 399) Saleem dreams about Kashmir as the idyllic Garden of Eden; his family history stems from
Kashmir (Bounse, 14). Since the war had started, Saleem feels disconnected to Kashmir: 'in our house, we were infected with the alienness of
Kashmiri blood.'(Rushdie 101) The dreams reflect the nostalgic and feelings of desire for Kashmir of both Pakistan and India. Saleem claims that his
entire family dies during the war of 1965 in order to purify the nation and himself. The shocking claim represents the absurdity of Pakistan to break the

Formulating Nitrite Butadiene Rubber High Density...
The intent of existing investigation was to formulate nitrile butadiene rubber (NBR)/high density polyethylene blends (HDPE) blends using industrial
waste (MW) and compatibilized by Chloroprene rubber (CR). Results indicated that the minimum and maximum torque increased with increasing
HDPE amount in the blends, whereas scorch, and cure time showed the decreasing trend. Increment in HDPE increased the tensile strength, modulus,
tear strength, hardness and crosslink density. % tensile strain, % compression set and abrasion loss of NBR/HDPE blends revealed the decreased
trend with increasing HDPE level. MW filled blends based on CR provided the most encouraging balance values of overall properties. Keywords:

They have reported the effect of addition of graft copolymer and dynamic vulcanisation on the mechanical properties of these blends Recently, Baker
et. al., [21] studied the effectiveness of various basic functional groups in polypropylene as compatibilisers in a PP/NBR system using morphological
and impact property measurements.
Commonly, it is simple to blend of similar polarities and solubility of rubber and plastic to make a valuable thermoplastic elastomer, for example PP
/ethylene–propylene–diene copolymer EPDM, epoxidized natural rubber (ENR) with polyvinyl chloride (PVC), PVC/NBR) and nylon/NBR.
However, it is obscure to fabricate a TPE via an elastomer and plastic comprising different polarities as well as solubility. This is owing to being of
large interfacial tension between these two polymers. This intricacy can be solved by the utilize of a compatibilizer to get better interfacial relation
between two phases [1].
Accordingly, the objective of this research was to study cure characteristics, mechanical as well as swelling properties in the blends of NBR with
HDPE was chose as blend constituents, because these NBR and HDPE are available in great amounts, possess outstanding properties and are paced
among the most frequent polymers applied for the fabrication of commercially existing NBR/HDPE based blends.
The aim of the study expressed in this article was to compatibilize NBR with HDPE by using Chloroprene (CR) as compatibilizer that gets better

Essay on The Nightmare
The Nightmare
Dreams are often visions of the conscience that hold the most truth. In the novel, Cracking India, by Bapsi Sidhwa, the narrator Lenny, has a
reoccurring nightmare that contains much truth about the state of India. In Lenny's nightmare,
Children lie in a warehouse. Mother and Ayah move about solicitously. The atmosphere is businesslike and relaxed.
Godmother sits by my bed smiling indulgently as men in uniforms quietly slice off a child's arm here, a leg there.
She strokes my head as they dismember me. I feel no pain.
Only an abysmal sense of loss– and a chilling horror that no one is concerned by what's happening (Sidhwa 31).
Lenny's childhood nightmare is symbolic of the condition of India prior to ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The Indians' adoption of the British culture enables the British to remain in India and this submissiveness is shown through the metaphor of the
warehouse in Lenny's dream. Gandhi also suggests that "we keep the English in India for our base interest. We like their commerce; they please us by
their subtle methods and get what they want from us" (Gandhi 216). Their subtle methods and efficient ways are described in Lenny's nightmare as the
businesslike and relaxed atmosphere. Gandhi's point is proven in Cracking India when Colonel Bharucha suggests to a group of people that they
should stop buying British salt. Dr. Manek Mody, an upper–class citizen, immediately objects because he prospers from the British presence in India
and sees no reason to stop buying their salt. Dr. Mody's failure to look past his personal profit is precisely the chilling lack of concern about the
holistic well–being of India that Lenny is referring to in the description of her nightmare. Gandhi suggests that the solution to the problem of achieving
Home Rule lies in getting to the root of the matter. He proposes that "if an excess of food has caused me indigestion, I shall certainly not avoid it by
blaming water" (Gandhi 215). In Lenny's nightmare, the description of the British officers dismembering the children's limbs is obviously disturbing.
However, the underlying image of the children helplessly lying there while their supposed

Indian Democracy

the people.
Abraham Lincoln, the 16th President of the United States of America, aptly defined democracy as a government of the people, by the people and for
the people. This definition clearly underlines the basic tenet that, in this– form of government, people are supreme. The ultimate power is in their hands
and they exercise it in the form of electing their representatives at the time of elections. In modern times this type of democracy, which is representative
in nature, is most suitable. The other type, the direct democracy in which the people themselves enact and implement laws and run ... Show more

are preserved and further strengthened.
They help in the formation of public opinion as well. Thus, political parties see that there is nothing against the spirit of democracy, freedom, equality
and social justice. In the absence of political parties, we cannot think of smooth and effective functioning of a democracy. Different political parties
may have different ideologies but they all aim at the good of the people and the country. The party system inIndia has been a great factor in giving
meaning and life to democracy. With the passage of time, a new and healthy relationship has developed between the ruling party and the opposition
parties on the one hand and between the public and the political parties on the other. It is because of the enlightened Indian voters and political parties
in opposition that the government and the party in power have been more responsive and accountable to the people and their representatives.
Obviously, democracy is not a one–sided game and it needs two or more players in the form of ruling party, parties in opposition and the electorate.
Liberty, equality, justice and fraternity are the very cornerstones of democracy. They are not available under dictatorship and utilitarian forms of
government. Without freedom of speech, expression of faith, profession, and association, etc. democracy is meaningless. Similarly, right to own
property is one of the fundamental rights under democracy. The Indian Constitution offers all the

life, the textiles industry also plays a pivotal role through its contribution to industrial output, employment generation, and the export earnings of the
country. Currently, it contributes about 14 percent to industrial production, 4 percent to the GDP, and 17 percent to the country's export earnings. It

Cotton yarn production marginally outpaced the increase in the total yarn production. India contributes about 23 per cent of world spindles and 6 per
cent of world rotors (second highest in the world after China)
FABRIC
Fabric production has been increasing constantly over all sectors, with an 8.6% increase in 2006–07. Cotton makes up almost 50% of the total fabric
production in the country, and is outstripping the growth, with a 9.6% increase from 2005–06.
This sector consists of about 3.9 million handlooms, 380,000 "powerloom" enterprises that operate about
1.7 million looms, and just 137,000 looms in the various composite mills. Modern shuttle less looms account for less than 1 percent of loom capacity.
Looking from the viewpoint of method of production, it can be seen that the share in output of handlooms and mills has fallen down considerably over
the last decade. And the major chunk of production is in the powerloom sector.
THE APPAREL INDUSTRY
The Garment Industry of India is a Rs 1 trillion industry. Almost 33% of its knitwear production and about 20% of its woven–garment production, both
by volume, enters export markets. Overall about 25 % of the volume of its garment production goes into export markets, leaving 75 % for domestic
consumption.

Essay on The Religious Conflict in South Asia
The Religious Conflict in South Asia
It is a misconception to believe that there has always been conflict between Muslims and Hindu's. At one time, Muslims and Hindus would live
together in peace even worshiping in the same building, a purely harmonious relationship. However the peace was not to last. In modern times the
conflict it could be said is inevitable. In this essay I hope to look at the issues of conflict in South Asia focusing on India and in particular the continuing
Hindu–Muslim tensions, and look at possible reasons for the continuing conflict which appears to have escalated since the withdrawal of British Rule
from India.
Multiple events had shaped the Indian subcontinent with ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
However this harmony was short lived. By the seventeenth century Muslim rule under the strict rule of Mughal leader, Aurangzeh, over the Hindus
began. Aurangzeh imposed taxes upon the Hindus, destroyed their temples often converting them to mosques, and sometimes even forced them to
covert to Islam. By the eighteenth century the Mughal empire had disbursed and the British began to obtain increasing power. The British colonialism
of India led to the unification of Hindus and Muslims, for both opposed the British officers and resentment grew as they were denied jobs and high
positions government.
By the nineteenth century the Indian National Congress (I.N.C.) had been formed and were in union demanding equal opportunities from colonial rule.
In attempt to counter out the increasing Hindu educated class, the British sought to make Muslims their allies. This failed but triggered Islamic feeling
that in order to protect their culture in the increasingly Hindu I.N.C., believed the Muslims should have their own Islamic state.
In 1940 the all–Indian Muslim league declared its desire for a 'Pakistan' meaning 'land of the pure' under the confederation of an all Hindu state called
'Hindustan' or the 'land of the Hindus'. however a 'Pakistan' under the Indian rule seemed impossible, and

Women Are Not Born But Made
Women are not born but made. Nowadays we celebrate women's day but there are many situations we had come through to this position and space
Punjabi women occupy nowadays, and comparing it to the times 60 years ago. The age of my grandmother. When the country had just got
independence. When the women are participating in nationalist movements were being pushed into the domestic household works.
There have been innumerable debates about gender in (Banerjee 2012) Punjab over last 60 years. Most of them were about women's positions in
society, their education, health, economic status, gender equality. What we can conclude from these discussions is that how women have always held
a certain contradictory position in our developing country in past years. In recent years women held a very less respectful position . they were not
treated as human. On other hand, Punjab has an increased percentage of literacy among women . now women are allowed to enter into professional
fields now. However, in the 1950s my grandmother tells women were just made to do household chores. They were not allowed to get higher
education or even go out without the permission of parents. They were supposed to be at home . while on the other hand the practices of female
foeticide, poor health conditions and lack of education persisting still continue. Even the supportive ideology of the home being women's real domain
and marriage being her ultimate destiny has not changed much in last 60 years.

Creating Systems Without Considering The Users
There have been many efforts to create systems without considering the users. Furnell (2007) found that while the rules for password creation had
been clearly established, websites were doing little to educate users. Campbell et al. (2011) tested a system that did enforce proper password creation
but seemed perplexed why this did not reduce password reuse or the incorporation of personal information into passwords. This highlights one obvious
problem in password research as there is a hyper–focus on user ability to remember a singular password while ignoring that users need passwords for
dozens of applications (Grawemeyer & Johnson, 2011).
Instead of treating users as a liability, system designers need to recognize users are ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
When viewed in totality, these examples plainly show the previously noted maxim that users can be expected to remember at most five distinct
passwords used on a regular basis (Adams & Sasse, 1999). Understanding and accepting these human constraints and limitations is key to developing
any robust and secure password schema.
This does not imply a perfectly secure system can be designed. With enough time, any system can be breached (Katz, Ostrovsky, & Yung, 2009).
Instead, a reasonably secure password schema needs to be derived. It should keep users relatively safe while affording them the ability to manage
passwords without concern of forgetting them or recording them.
With those criteria for success in mind, there have been some efforts made to meet the needs of the users. Duggan, Johnson, and Grawemeyer (2012)
analyzed company needs and suggested password requirements be customized to individual users. While their intentions are laudable, though, the
practicality of their suggestions can be questioned. Most corporations will not see the cost benefit of investing numerous man hours in implementing
such a wide–ranging schema.
Likewise, Ganesan (2016) proposes a single sign–on solution for companies with an Enterprise architecture in place. While this might be good for
large corporations, smaller companies may not have the

King Prithivi Narayan Shah : The Conflict Of Interests...
After defeating the incumbent prime minister, KP Oli is in the process of forming a new government in Nepal. He faces daunting challenges –– both
old and new –– in the days ahead.
Let us start with the old challenges. National interest drives the foreign policy of each country. Both India and China prefer a seamlessly friendly
government in Nepal, which is not possible given the strategic contest and territorial conflict between them.
King Prithivi Narayan Shah understood the conflict of interests between the two neighbors, characterized his newly unified kingdom as a yam between
two large boulders, and counselled his courtiers to keep both neighbors at arm 's length. Over time, Nepali rulers forgot the unifier 's counsel. Nepal
fought two wars with Tibet–China and two with British India.
Following the loss of the second war with its southern neighbor, Nepal was forced to cede one–third of its territory, most of it fertile plains, and much
of its sovereign freedom under the Sugauli Treaty of 1815. Jang Bahadur Rana restored some of the lost land by helping the British quell the Sepoy
Mutiny of 1857, but the rest of the land and much of sovereignty remain irritrievable up to this day.
China did not pay much attention to Nepal until in grew economically and strategically into a global power. Since the turn of the new century, Beijing
has begun to take interest in Nepali politics, complicating Kathmandu 's foreign relations with its immediate neighbors.

The Collective Memory In Cracking India And The...
Memory of a singular event can differ amongst individuals, even those in the same neighborhood or family. Each individual brings a collective of

communal memory is not solely rooted in 'fact' but also in the oral histories of those individuals who lived through the event. There is no one history.
Consequently, there is a discourse between the collective memory of the community and the individual memory. India's 1947 partition reveals that
there are many different histories to the independence of India and the subsequent creation of Pakistan. By utilizing the text Cracking India, author
Bapsi Sidhwa examines the disparities between the two types of memories in order to reconcile the past with contemporary India/Pakistan.
India and Pakistan are built from the same foundational nation of India before Partition; thus, their histories are irrevocably bound together despite
their contemporary violence and distrust towards each other. India was once colonized by the British for three centuries, known as the "jewel in the
British crown" for its wealth in resources and spices. Regarding India's independence from the British Empire in 1947, a bitter victory emerged as the

Dbq Essay Crickets and Politics
The relationship between cricket and politics is clearly portrayed in South Asia from 1880 to 2005 through the easing of the tension between
different caste members, although the tension eased was not always from a religious aspect between the Pakistanis, Indians, and the British. The
different problems that arose in South Asia was mostly class or caste systems (Docs 2, 3, 4), rivalry (Docs 1, 6, 10), and religious tensions (Docs 5,
7, 8, 9) against the different countries and cricket teams. Cricket in many ways was a unifying force for the different classes in India as well as the
relationship between Britain and India. As seen in Document 2, an Indian cricketer was invited to "...join the Sussex team," which was a team from

Even though cricket was a very uniting force, it was also the cause of rivalry throughout India. Cricket was a sport brought to India by the British
and the Indians were pretty grateful towards the British for bringing cricket. However, what they were not grateful for was the fact that the English
would play polo on cricket grounds, as said in Document 1. Document 1 states that "...more than five hundred young men of all ages and of all castes
pursue this healthful sport on the Parade ground where alone they are permitted to play and which is the only ground suitable for cricket." The
Indians were arguing to the governor of the province of Bombay, India that the English were ruining the turf that they were playing cricket on by
playing polo. They requested that the English should play somewhere else and not on their turf. Furthermore, shown in Document 6, the Indians felt
that when they "...defeated the European teams of Calcutta...," that it was the only time they were playing on the same level as the English. Fair and
square. Usually, the British would have the authority potential wise, but the game of cricket evened it all out because when you play a sport, you
can't win by support, but by skill. Document 10 showed another example of rivalry. The chairman feels that Cricket is a sport that can bring people
together and makes people ignore the fact that there are problems with water and etc. However, he's not one to say these things.

The Economic Characteristics Of The Global Motor Vehicle...
) The economic characteristics of the global motor vehicle industry are very complex. It takes a lot of effort and a lot of moving parts to ensure
continued and successful grow. For a company to maintain good economic characteristics a company must continually set out to grow their business,
they must have a defined buyers, number and scope of their direct and potential rivals, product development and innovation, supply/demand
relationship, technological change, knowledge and experience of the vehicle and global markets, economies of scales, and value vertical integration.
All of these characteristics are vital to success in the global vehicle industry. As mentioned above, the first economic characteristic would be to grow
their business and market size. These companies either expand domestically, but most importantly internationally. When expanding internationally most
companies seek to enter in developing counties because of the potential future benefit. Tata motors has excelled at this tactic because they gained a
humongous presence in their home country and then expanded to developing countries such as Africa, ––––––,––––––––,–––––––––. The second
example of characteristics of a global motor vehicle company would be defining their buyers. Tata has set itself apart from it competitors by offering

The Use Of Hack Into A Single Or Networked Computer
There are thousands of ways to hack into a single or networked computer. All hacker does not have a notorious reason for trying to access a network.
Many hackers are paid by a company to find its network vulnerabilities. These hackers are known as white hackers or pen testers. The most popular
way to hack into a computer is with a certain attack named brute force.
The brute–force attack is one of the most popular cracking methods., it is not just for password cracking. Brute–force attacks can also be used to
discover hidden pages and content in a web application. This attack is basically hit and miss until you succeed. This attack sometimes takes longer, but
its success rate is higher.
The success of the attack depends on various factors. Factors that affect most are password length and combination of characters, letters and special
characters. It does not make brute–force impossible but it makes brute–force difficult. It will take a longer time to reach the password by brute–forcing.
Almost all hash cracking algorithms use the brute–force to hit and try. This attack is best when you have offline access to data.
Brute–force password cracking is also very important in computer security. It is used to check the weak passwords used in the system, network or
application. Brute–force attack when an attacker uses a set of predefined values to attack a target and analyze the response until he succeeds. Success
depends on the set of predefined values. If it is larger, it will

Comparing Two Network Security Software Tools
Introduction
In this coursework, the main aim is to compare two network security software tools using Kali Linux to carry out a type of attack which helps build
and develop an awareness to protect computers from varies password attacks.
The chosen software tools are offline password attack (John the Ripper) and (RainbowCrack) which they both are from similar Cyber Security attacks
under password cracking tools. John the Ripper is free on multi–platform as it combines various password cracking features in one package.
RainbowCrack uses rainbow crack tables that are updated periodically. After calculations, the results are stored, which were obtained in the tables is
called a rainbow table. The process of creating rainbow tables takes very long time, but when the program works it's done very fast.
Any hackers will attempt to violate this three element of security (CIA) Confidentiality, Integrity and Availability:
Confidentiality is to prevent the disclosure of information to unauthorised persons to look at it.
Integrity: is to make sure that the content of the information has not been properly adjusted or tampered with.
Availability: The goal of any information system to serve its purpose which is to make sure that the information is available when you require them.

Indian Politics
Politics of India India is the largest democracy in the world. India has the biggest number of people with franchise rights and the largest number of
political parties, which take part in election campaign. In the 1996 national elections, almost 600 million people voted and an average of 26
candidates competed for each of the 543 territorial constituency seats. Elections are held at different levels. The two major election levels are at
national level, after which the national government is established and at state level after which the state government is established. Elections are also
held for city, town and village councils. There are different political issues in Indian politics. Some are national level and some regional level.... Show

In these elections members for the Lower House are elected. Head of a state is called Chief Minister, who is member of the Lower House.
Constitutionally the figurehead of the state is the Governor, who is appointed by the President according to the advice of the national government.
After the state elections the governor calls for the suitable candidate to form the government. In general the governor has more legislative rights at state
level than the President has at national level. The governor can call on early elections in the state, or fire the government if he thinks that the
government has failed or is unstable. In the federal relations between the state and central government, the central government has more authority on
state matters than the state government. For example the central government has the right to redistribute the state borders without consulting the state
governments on this matter. If the political conditions in any state are not stable, the national government can call on the President to declare President
's rule in that specific state. And so the government in that state is dissolved, which means an emergency rule is declared and sometimes if necessary
the army is put to work in that state. Even though the Constitution determinates the rights of the different authorities in the administration process,

Proposed Problem: Brute–force Algorithm
SUMMARY
Brute force is defined as very strong or forceful. In computer Science, this is essentially the same definition. Brute–force in Computer Science is the
trial and error method used by application programs to decode encrypted data such as passwords or Data Encryption Standard (DES) keys, through
exhaustive effort (using brute force) rather than employing intellectual strategies. This brute force method involves an attacker systematically ... Show

It is possible to design the algorithm both sequentially and in parallel.
During this project, we will solve the problem using both parallel and sequential methods. A performance analysis will be carried out on both methods
to determine the efficiency and speed of each. The sequential algorithm will be written in both pseudo–code and the C++ language. The parallel
method will also be written in pseudo–code but we will be using C and MPI instructions to achieve the parallelism of the operation. We would be
using the Midwestern State University Turing cluster and personal Ubuntu virtual machines to implement both the parallel program and the
sequential program. We as a group decided to pursue this topic as passwords play a vital part in how the world's information is secured and verified.
Passwords are used for user authentication to prove identity or access approval to gain access to a resource. Passwords remain the single most
common point of failure in system security. Ensuring that passwords cannot be efficiently broken is important for encryption algorithms. Due to this,
we decided to design a sequential and parallel algorithm that would be successful in cracking a password. Given an opportunity to research any topic
where parallel programming may prove useful, we agreed on a brute–force algorithm. In our upcoming project, we would all attempt to design,
implement, and analyze the brute–force algorithm.

Essay about Harappa and Aryans 1500 B.C.E
All the historical cities from older times have many common features in construction as well as in society, government, religion, and culture. The
uniformity among Harappan cities reveals a society that valued order, organization, and cleanliness. Administrators used the same pattern, carefully
laying out the cities using a north–south grid pattern with wide streets and large rectangular city blocks. They built most buildings of sturdy baked
brick molded to a standardized size. Residential and commercial districts were separated from a smaller area or public affairs. Massive brick ramparts
40 feet thick at their base partially protected it from the river waters and any potential human attackers. Large granaries provide evidence of wealth...

ruins contain few weapons, suggesting that, in contrast to Mesopotamia, war was uncommon. But some people owned beautiful objects of personal
adornment, such as necklaces and beads, while others apparently lacked such valuable possessions. the ruins also contain many toys made from clay
or wood, indicating a prosperous society that valued leisure for children. Harappan society had unusual gender relations for that era, different from the
rigid patriarchies that characterized Mesopotamia or China as governments grew more powerful. Apparently, Harappan husbands moved into their
wives' households after marriage, a practice that suggests a matrilineal system. Yet some customs harmed women. A least some Harappans may have
practiced sati, the custom of a widow killing herself by jumping onto the funeral pyre as her dead husband is being cremated. Harappan city–dwellers
developed an artistic appreciation, mixing art with religion and even commerce. They made small, square, clay seals, possibly used by merchants for
branding their wares; some of the seals contain brilliant portraits of indigenous animals, indulging bulls and water buffaloes as well as the tigers,

India, China And South Africa
INTRODUCTION.
BRICS is an emerging geopolitical acronym that has influenced the international system one way or another. BRICS stands for Brazil, Russia, India,
China and South Africa. They share a common political objective which is state sovereignty while increasing economic and social independence as
well as interdependence. India is one of countries in the BRICS (Brazil, Russia, India, China and South Africa) group which have been recognized for
its phenomenal economic growth because of globalization and this has moved the country from being considered a poor nation to being a rising
middle class country (Rao, 2004). India is a good example of a country that have benefitted from globalization in some respects. It sustained a high and
accelerated growth rate over the past 25 years making it the fourth largest economy in the world next to China. The Indian economy has done very
well in terms of the growth of the GDP "(about 6 per cent per year in the real terms in the 1990s, rising to more than 7 per cent in the last decade"
(Jean, Dreze & Amartya Sen, 2013). To understand India's development, it is necessary to understand its demography, its structure and characteristics.
It is not only the largest democracy in the world, but it also the second largest country in the world because of its population (Raj, 2004, p.401). As
of 2014, it has a population of about 1,236,344,631, it rose by 1.25 per cent over the last years (Europa World Online, 2015). In terms of natural

1. Why is information security a management problem? What can management do that Technology cannot?
Management is an information problem due to the fact that policymaking and training of securing systems from users fall into the responsibility of
their role. These responsibilities can include limiting access as well as disabling certain functions that are not related to the organizations' function.
Management can set policies that may arise due to improper uses or manipulations of systems and asses the threats that are unknown due to the

5. What is information extortion? Describe how such an attack can cause losses, using an example not found in the text.
Information extortion happens when an insider or outsider gain information about an organization and demands some form of compensation in
exchange for the information. An example could be something like a person creating a code to obtain information of how to enter a restricted part of
the network and having the ability to mask their identity and hide within the system. Using that info, a person could sell the company an intrusion
/detection or firewall software in exchange for the codes.
6. Why do employees constitute one of the greatest threats to information security?
The employees are considered the greatest threats due to the daily interaction of the company's data. The employee can also forget to log off, send the
data to people in email attachment to either inside or outside the company as well as someone actually passing along passwords to access to the
system. 7. What measures can individuals take to protect against shoulder surfing?
A measure to take would be to install a screen filter to distort the view of the monitor as well as being aware of your surrounding when entering certain
information such as passwords. 8. How

There are reasons why natural rubber was chosen to make part of tyres. The first reason is natural rubber has high tensile strength. Because of this high
tensile strength natural rubber can hold shape and is more flexible. Second, natural rubber is more environmental friendly compared to synthetic rubber.
This is because it is originally derived from latex which produced from tree. Besides, natural rubber is a biodegradable material. It can be degrade

The reason for choosing carbon black as addition material in fillers is it has decreased rolling resistance. Other than that, carbon black is also help to
extend the life of the tyres by conducting heat away from the tread and the belt area. These can directly contributed to reductions in greenhouse gas
emissions. Carbon black also acts as a pigment, while made the rubber become black so the tyres is black in

Respect for women is precisely what is lacking in modern Indian society yet 'Mother India', 'Mother Ganga' and a multitude of goddesses are all
"apparent" symbols of respect to the female gender.
We in the west may ask, why the Indian government isn't legislating to control crimes against women, however there are already many laws in place
to protect women, on par with laws found in developed countries. For example, The Dowry Prohibition Act, 1961, an act to prohibit the giving or
taking of dowry, dowry being the amount of money or property brought by a bride to her husband on their marriage, The Married Woman's Property Act,
1874 and The Protection of Women from Domestic Violence Act, 2005.
Despite 44 laws targeted towards the protection of women, crime rate statistics show that women are still very much at risk, evidenced by the
Thomson Reuters Trust Law indicator which ranked India as 'the worst G20 country in which to be a woman' and the fact that one woman in India
dies every hour because of dowry–related crimes, reported in 2013 by LifeNews.com. There isn't a simple explanation as to why the laws are being
broken, ignored, and have failed to be upheld in court.
Furthermore, some academics and commentators dispute that India is as developed as its middle and upper classes would like to think. But it is a
poor country with income per capita

Analysis Of Column 7L
During the initial site walk, cracking was observed on the north corbel of column 7B, as labeled on the 2014 structural drawings for the site. During
the renovations in 2014, steel columns were added in the vicinity of the B line of columns in this area of the structure. Given that these new columns
may have been added to take additional stresses caused by the renovations and/or additions, observation of the deteriorated conditions of this corbel
warranted additional investigation of other corbels in the area. This was not part of the original scope of work, but TKW has observed and reported
on the condition of some of these corbels as a courtesy to the client.

From this position, the northern corbel at column 5B appears to have similar conditions compared to column 6B. A significant portion of the corbel
has fallen off and is lying on top of the CMU wall in that area (Figure 26). The bearing conditions look similar to column 6B, but exact measurements
were not possible. The condition of the beam bearing on the corbel was not visible, but padding for bearing can be seen in the location.
At column 4B, the northern corbel has cracked significantly at one corner of the corbel (Figure 27). The cracked portion is hanging from the corbel
by a small section of concrete at the top of the corbel. Due to spatial constraints, measurements could not be made, but the section of concrete hanging
from the corbel appears to be about ВЅin thick. Small pieces of concrete were found on the ground in this area, suggesting that the corbel is slowly
deteriorating. Bearing pads appear to be in use on the southern corbel only, which shows no signs of deterioration.
The northern corbel at column 3B is beginning to crack along one of its corners (Figure 28). Spatial constraints did not permit actual measurements, but
the crack appears to be 0.012in – 0.025in wide. Due to the presence of drywall in the area, it is difficult to gauge the depth of the crack as the
attached drywall could be helping to holding the concrete in place. The southern corbel does not exhibit any signs of deterioration. Bearing pads
appear to be utilized on both corbels.

Poor Electricity Supply And Lack Of Internet Connectivity
3.1. 3 Poor Electricity Supply and Lack of Internet Connectivity
Lack of constant supply of electricity has also been identified by many researchers as a major barrier to a successful wider implementation and
adoption of EHR in this region (Oluoch, et al., 2012; Awokola, et al., 2012; Pantuvo et al., 2011). For instance, Awokola and colleagues reported that
for many months, they could not use the EHR consistently because of constant power outage. On some occasions, the power packs in some central
processing units of the table–top computers got damaged and had to be replaced. In addition, Pantuvo et al. (2011) stated that many hospitals in this
region do not have access to constant electricity supply. In fact, many hospitals depend mainly on the alternative power supply commonly called
"generator" for their operations. Due to the infrastructure problems throughout the country and lack of guarantee of always–on internet connection or
even ensure an uninterrupted electrical supply, nationwide adoption/ wider implementation of EHR in Nigeria may not be possible (Chaplin et al.,

Life of Buddhism: The Buddhism is one of the major religion in the world. Buddhism started in India and so many of its early symbols are related to
ancient India and Hinduism as well though their original meaning were often changed. Buddhism has followers all over the world most of them from
China, India, Sri Lanka, Korea, Japan, Mongolia, and Thailand. The Buddhism religion is over 2500 years old. The name of Buddhism religion

think to be other than an ordinary human being. Other teachers were either God or directly inspired by God. The Buddha was a true human being, and
he has no inspiration from any God. According to Buddhism the man is supreme, and he is his own master and there in no other higher power that

and by 6 he 'd entered the formal educational and military training program that lasted until age 16. The curriculum included courses in logic, politics
and economics.

world 's poor (cite from wikipedia find real source). This means that upwards of 50% of Indian citizens are living below the poverty line, and
struggling to meet even their most basic needs. This poverty has been long researched and discussed, as many political figures and anthropologists, such
as Akhil Gupta are attempting to find a solution. Akhil Gupta is an accomplished anthropologist and current professor at the University of California,
Los Angeles, where his research focuses on the development and the state. These themes are present in his novel, Red Tape: The Bureaucracy,
Structural Violence and Poverty in India where he discusses his theory that the relation between the state and the poor is due to structural violence.
Gupta comments that "the fundamental question that [will be] raised in this book is why a state dedicated to development appears to be incapable of
doing more to combat the violence of chronic poverty" (279). As a whole, the text centers around Gupta attempting to come to an understanding as to
why, in the world's fourth largest economy, there is such persistent and prevalent poverty. He estimates that this poverty results in the deaths of up to
two million individuals, especially women and lower–caste figures. His argument develops into the theory that poverty is structural violence, which he

Multinational businesses exploit their Indian employees as they do not command the same wages as employees in more developed nations. However,
these wages are deemed significant and impressive in comparison to the alternatives. These highly educated individuals of India have landed jobs
with multinational corporations that have set up in many cities of India. They are benefiting from the outsourced service jobs that have been shifted

The target customer is a major difference where Patel wants to focus on the low–end brushes for first time users, when Lang thinks it is better to concentrate on mid–range brushes and battery operated products for customers with higher income. The three primary messages that the company uses to market their products are: 1) Persuading consumers to brush for the first time 2) Increasing the incidence of brushing and 3) Persuading consumers to upgrade to midrange or premium products. They settled down here and, over the time, India assimilated them in its cultural and social mosaic. Also, India remained a home of host of empires and kingdoms with each having a peculiar history. The process of globalization is allowing people from all over the world be more interconnected with one another. The process is seen in many different ways. Our clothing is no longer made in the United States, today we look at the tags and see "Made in Indonesia" or "Product of Venezuela". Many companies such as Microsoft, Nike, and Wal–Mart are reaching people in places that were not considered feasible markets only 30 years ago. Globalization has been a subject to controversy by both the richest and the poorest of countries. Outsourcing is a major point of negativity in this new interconnected world. Many jobs are lost from workers in the developed nations and sent to developing nations who will supply workers for less. There are many causes of globalization. We cannot put our finger on any one particular change in our culture that has led to the larger interconnectedness of nations. Globalization has been around for a long time, going back to mercantilism of the 16th through 18th centuries. Today's vast globalization may be attributed to the formation of the United Nations in 1945. Examples Of Magical Realism In Midnight's Children ''Reality; Never As Straight–forward As it Appears''(Rubsinson, 33–34) Salman Rushdie's Midnight's Children invites readers to dive into the recent history of modern and postcolonial India. The story is told by the narrator and protagonist, Saleem Sinai, who can be seen as an allegory for India. Born at midnight 15 August 1947, when India gained its independence from the British rule, Saleem believes that he is ''handcuffed to history''(Rushdie, 6). 'From Saleems perspective, what happens to him, happens to the country'(Rubinson, 33). After the partition, the state of Kashmir happened to share borders with both Pakistan and India. Since Kashmir had a Hindu leader but a predominantly Muslim population, a conflict was inevitable. The struggle of which nation would incorporate the state led eventually to the first India–Pakistan War in 1947. The war ended in 1948 with UN interference, Kashmir joined the Republic of India, while the Pakistani Government continued to believe that the Muslim state belonged to Pakistan (The Office Historian). Saleem claims that the war, which resumed in 1965, occurred for two reasons: 'because I dreamed Kashmir into the fantasies of our rules; furthermore, [because] I remained impure, and therefore the war was to separate me from my sins.'(Rushdie, 399) Saleem dreams about Kashmir as the idyllic Garden of Eden; his family history stems from Kashmir (Bounse, 14). Since the war had started, Saleem feels disconnected to Kashmir: 'in our house, we were infected with the alienness of Kashmiri blood.'(Rushdie 101) The dreams reflect the nostalgic and feelings of desire for Kashmir of both Pakistan and India. The intent of existing investigation was to formulate nitrile butadiene rubber (NBR)/high density polyethylene blends (HDPE) blends using industrial waste (MW) and compatibilized by Chloroprene rubber (CR). They have reported the effect of addition of graft copolymer and dynamic vulcanisation on the mechanical properties of these blends Recently, Baker et. al., [21] studied the effectiveness of various basic functional groups in polypropylene as compatibilisers in a PP/NBR system using morphological and impact property measurements. Commonly, it is simple to blend of similar polarities and solubility of rubber and plastic to make a valuable thermoplastic elastomer, for example PP /ethylene–propylene–diene copolymer EPDM, epoxidized natural rubber (ENR) with polyvinyl chloride (PVC), PVC/NBR) and nylon/NBR. However, it is obscure to fabricate a TPE via an elastomer and plastic comprising different polarities as well as solubility. This is owing to being of large interfacial tension between these two polymers. This intricacy can be solved by the utilize of a compatibilizer to get better interfacial relation between two phases [1]. Accordingly, the objective of this research was to study cure characteristics, mechanical as well as swelling properties in the blends of NBR with HDPE was chose as blend constituents, because these NBR and HDPE are available in great amounts, possess outstanding properties and are paced among the most frequent polymers applied for the fabrication of commercially existing NBR/HDPE based blends. In the novel, Cracking India, by Bapsi Sidhwa, the narrator Lenny, has a reoccurring nightmare that contains much truth about the state of India. In Lenny's nightmare, Children lie in a warehouse. Mother and Ayah move about solicitously. The atmosphere is businesslike and relaxed. Godmother sits by my bed smiling indulgently as men in uniforms quietly slice off a child's arm here, a leg there. The Indians' adoption of the British culture enables the British to remain in India and this submissiveness is shown through the metaphor of the warehouse in Lenny's dream. Gandhi also suggests that "we keep the English in India for our base interest. We like their commerce; they please us by their subtle methods and get what they want from us" (Gandhi 216). Their subtle methods and efficient ways are described in Lenny's nightmare as the businesslike and relaxed atmosphere. Gandhi's point is proven in Cracking India when Colonel Bharucha suggests to a group of people that they should stop buying British salt. Dr. Manek Mody, an upper–class citizen, immediately objects because he prospers from the British presence in India and sees no reason to stop buying their salt. Dr. Mody's failure to look past his personal profit is precisely the chilling lack of concern about the holistic well–being of India that Lenny is referring to in the description of her nightmare. Gandhi suggests that the solution to the problem of achieving Home Rule lies in getting to the root of the matter. He proposes that "if an excess of food has caused me indigestion, I shall certainly not avoid it by blaming water" (Gandhi 215). In Lenny's nightmare, the description of the British officers dismembering the children's limbs is obviously disturbing. In the absence of political parties, we cannot think of smooth and effective functioning of a democracy. Different political parties may have different ideologies but they all aim at the good of the people and the country. The party system inIndia has been a great factor in giving meaning and life to democracy. With the passage of time, a new and healthy relationship has developed between the ruling party and the opposition parties on the one hand and between the public and the political parties on the other. It is because of the enlightened Indian voters and political parties in opposition that the government and the party in power have been more responsive and accountable to the people and their representatives. Furnell (2007) found that while the rules for password creation had been clearly established, websites were doing little to educate users. Campbell et al. (2011) tested a system that did enforce proper password creation but seemed perplexed why this did not reduce password reuse or the incorporation of personal information into passwords. This highlights one obvious problem in password research as there is a hyper–focus on user ability to remember a singular password while ignoring that users need passwords for dozens of applications (Grawemeyer & Johnson, 2011). When viewed in totality, these examples plainly show the previously noted maxim that users can be expected to remember at most five distinct passwords used on a regular basis (Adams & Sasse, 1999). Understanding and accepting these human constraints and limitations is key to developing any robust and secure password schema. This does not imply a perfectly secure system can be designed. With enough time, any system can be breached (Katz, Ostrovsky, & Yung, 2009). Instead, a reasonably secure password schema needs to be derived. It should keep users relatively safe while affording them the ability to manage passwords without concern of forgetting them or recording them. With those criteria for success in mind, there have been some efforts made to meet the needs of the users. Duggan, Johnson, and Grawemeyer (2012) analyzed company needs and suggested password requirements be customized to individual users. While their intentions are laudable, though, the practicality of their suggestions can be questioned. Most corporations will not see the cost benefit of investing numerous man hours in implementing such a wide–ranging schema. Both India and China prefer a seamlessly friendly government in Nepal, which is not possible given the strategic contest and territorial conflict between them. King Prithivi Narayan Shah understood the conflict of interests between the two neighbors, characterized his newly unified kingdom as a yam between two large boulders, and counselled his courtiers to keep both neighbors at arm 's length. Each individual brings a collective of different experiences, mindsets, identities, etc. to the table and therefore, perceives events differently. Although a seemingly simple concept, there is a distinctness of individual memory that does not coincide with the collective memory of a community. In terms of historical events, a nation's communal memory is not solely rooted in 'fact' but also in the oral histories of those individuals who lived through the event. There is no one history. Consequently, there is a discourse between the collective memory of the community and the individual memory. • 28. Indian Politics Politics of India India is the largest democracy in the world. India has the biggest number of people with franchise rights and the largest number of political parties, which take part in election campaign. In the 1996 national elections, almost 600 million people voted and an average of 26 candidates competed for each of the 543 territorial constituency seats. Elections are held at different levels. The two major election levels are at national level, after which the national government is established and at state level after which the state government is established. Elections are also held for city, town and village councils. There are different political issues in Indian politics. Some are national level and some regional level.... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... In general the governor has more legislative rights at state level than the President has at national level. The governor can call on early elections in the state, or fire the government if he thinks that the government has failed or is unstable. In the federal relations between the state and central government, the central government has more authority on state matters than the state government. For example the central government has the right to redistribute the state borders without consulting the state governments on this matter. If the political conditions in any state are not stable, the national government can call on the President to declare President 's rule in that specific state. And so the government in that state is dissolved, which means an emergency rule is declared and sometimes if necessary the army is put to work in that state. Even though the Constitution determinates the rights of the different authorities in the administration process, there can be other pressures like strong lobbies or strong political parties, which, sometimes ... Proposed Problem: Brute–force Algorithm SUMMARY Brute force is defined as very strong or forceful. In computer Science, this is essentially the same definition. Brute–force in Computer Science is the trial and error method used by application programs to decode encrypted data such as passwords or Data Encryption Standard (DES) keys, through exhaustive effort (using brute force) rather than employing intellectual strategies. This brute force method involves an attacker systematically ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... It is possible to design the algorithm both sequentially and in parallel. During this project, we will solve the problem using both parallel and sequential methods. A performance analysis will be carried out on both methods to determine the efficiency and speed of each. The sequential algorithm will be written in both pseudo–code and the C++ language. The parallel method will also be written in pseudo–code but we will be using C and MPI instructions to achieve the parallelism of the operation. We would be using the Midwestern State University Turing cluster and personal Ubuntu virtual machines to implement both the parallel program and the sequential program. We as a group decided to pursue this topic as passwords play a vital part in how the world's information is secured and verified. Passwords are used for user authentication to prove identity or access approval to gain access to a resource. Passwords remain the single most common point of failure in system security. Ensuring that passwords cannot be efficiently broken is important for encryption algorithms. Due to this, we decided to design a sequential and parallel algorithm that would be successful in cracking a password. Given an opportunity to research any topic where parallel programming may prove useful, we agreed on a brute–force algorithm. In our upcoming project, we would all attempt to design, implement, and analyze the brute–force algorithm. STRATEGY

The uniformity among Harappan cities reveals a society that valued order, organization, and cleanliness. Administrators used the same pattern, carefully laying out the cities using a north–south grid pattern with wide streets and large rectangular city blocks. They built most buildings of sturdy baked brick molded to a standardized size. Residential and commercial districts were separated from a smaller area or public affairs. Massive brick ramparts 40 feet thick at their base partially protected it from the river waters and any potential human attackers. Large granaries provide evidence of wealth... But some people owned beautiful objects of personal adornment, such as necklaces and beads, while others apparently lacked such valuable possessions. the ruins also contain many toys made from clay or wood, indicating a prosperous society that valued leisure for children. Harappan society had unusual gender relations for that era, different from the rigid patriarchies that characterized Mesopotamia or China as governments grew more powerful. Apparently, Harappan husbands moved into their wives' households after marriage, a practice that suggests a matrilineal system. Yet some customs harmed women. A least some Harappans may have practiced sati, the custom of a widow killing herself by jumping onto the funeral pyre as her dead husband is being cremated. Harappan city–dwellers developed an artistic appreciation, mixing art with religion and even commerce. BRICS stands for Brazil, Russia, India, China and South Africa. India is one of countries in the BRICS (Brazil, Russia, India, China and South Africa) group which have been recognized for its phenomenal economic growth because of globalization and this has moved the country from being considered a poor nation to being a rising middle class country (Rao, 2004). India is a good example of a country that have benefitted from globalization in some respects. We in the west may ask, why the Indian government isn't legislating to control crimes against women, however there are already many laws in place to protect women, on par with laws found in developed countries. For example, The Dowry Prohibition Act, 1961, an act to prohibit the giving or taking of dowry, dowry being the amount of money or property brought by a bride to her husband on their marriage, The Married Woman's Property Act, 1874 and The Protection of Women from Domestic Violence Act, 2005. Despite 44 laws targeted towards the protection of women, crime rate statistics show that women are still very much at risk, evidenced by the Thomson Reuters Trust Law indicator which ranked India as 'the worst G20 country in which to be a woman' and the fact that one woman in India dies every hour because of dowry–related crimes, reported in 2013 by LifeNews.com. For instance, Awokola and colleagues reported that for many months, they could not use the EHR consistently because of constant power outage.
