Abstract: Software has been a significant part of modern society for a long time. In particular, this paper is concerned with various software
development process models. Software process model is a description of the sequence of activities carried out in a software engineering project, and the
relative order of these activities. It represents some of the development models namely, waterfall, v-shaped, incremental, RAD, iterative spiral and agile
model. Therefore, the main objective of this paper is to represent different models of software development and different aspects of each model to help the
developers to select specific model at specific situation depending on customer demand.

Abstract: Software testing is an incredibly complex and imperative element of any software development lifecycle. This paper discusses it in broad-
spectrum without taking any particular model of software development into consideration. The matter of the fact is that testing should start as early as
possible in the developmental cycle as possible to keep the time and monetary issues under control. It is to tackle these issues that testing is to be
performed at every step of the software development life-cycle and that is what has been thoroughly discussed in this paper and a framework is presented
to provide an initial road-map for this very matter. A series of steps have been presented which take us through the whole classical software development
life cycle meticulously and the tests possible at each step have been acknowledged as well.
This paper is prepared exclusively for International Conference on Advances & Challenges in Interdisciplinary Engineering and Management 2017 [ICACIEM
