The RAMMPP Matrix is used to stimulate thinking about work activities or processes that could be
modified or eliminated.

Process:
Brainstorm for each of the RAMMP categories (using one Post-It note for each unique item) things
that you or your team do / get involved in, for example;
• Approving expense claims
• Monday morning project update meetings
• Win / Loss reporting
Place each Post-It note along into the ROW and Column it relates to (e.g. Win/Loss reporting might
fall under the row ‘reports’ and the column ‘Under Business Control’.
Repeat this process until all Post-It notes have been placed in the correct row and column.
For the first two columns (‘Under My Control’ and ‘Under Team / Dept Control’) take EACH Post-It
note and ask the following questions:
Could it be?
1. Eliminated?
2. Partly eliminated?
3. Delegated downward?
4. Done less often?
5. Done in a less complicated or time-consuming manner?
6. Done with fewer people involved?
7. Done using a more productive technology?
