3. Duties and Responsibilities:-
 Inspection of incoming raw materials as per project specification and applicable standard / class
requirement.
 Submit structural inspection request to the client in coordination with site engineer at different
inspection stages.
 Coordinate with third party inspection agency for NDT, DT and mechanical testing as per
project specification.
 Preparing NDT mapping as per project spec. and class requirement.
 Review issued shop drawings correct revision & date and update drawing register every day.
 Review WPS & PQR approval before commencing welding.
 Witnessing of pressure test of piping system (Hydro test, Pneumatic test) as per line list.
 Carry out punch list work of mechanical completion and and witnessing of commissioning work.
 Inspection of subcontracted works, review of fabrication checklist.
 Responsible for submission of all final QC handover documents to the client.
 Checking incoming material such as raw materials, prefabricated materials, and welding
consumables
 Reviewing material certificates/batch certificates to check compliance with project
specifications, expiry dates, and meeting the required mechanical/physical/chemical
composition values
 Reviewing quality plans, ITPs, approval for project specifications based on client specifications
 Conducting Witness of Welder Qualification Test (WQT) as per relevant codes and
specifications
 Checking and verifying drawings and specifications and ensuring that drawings are in current
revision and approved fabrication by authorized customer’s representatives
 Interacting with fabrication project team for progress, project problems, specification
interpretation and special inspection
 Handling site inspections such as fit up inspections as per approved drawing and welding
inspection prior to welding and ensure that only qualified welders are allowed to perform in
accordance with approved WPS
 Preparing daily welding reports, weld traceability record, test package and test reports
 Performing field inspections for ongoing welding and finished weldments at site
 Conducting weld audit periodically to ensure that the quality of the welding activity,
maintaining records of all welders and ensure their qualification continuity. Continuously
monitoring the performance of the welders
 Handling all the NDT activities & monitoring as per project specifications
 Interpreting radiographs and reviewing NDT reports
 Coordinating with client, authorized inspector, and third party inspection department at various
stages of manufacturing activities
 Preparing and submitting final documents
