4. HIV binding receptor and its normal function
Seperti pada gambar di atas, proses masuknya virus HIV diawali dengan interaksi
antara env gp120 virus HIV dengan sel CD4+ sel host.
Secara normal, sel CD4+ ini berfungsi untuk memediasi pembentukan sitokin yang
dapat menghasilkan berbagai fungsi efektor seperti regulasi dan supresi respon
inflamasi, aktivasi makrofag dan eliminasi sel terinfeksi, yang terjadi setelah
pengenalan antigen spesifik oleh sel APC melalui MHC kelas 2.
