The theatrical decision to remind the audience that the person next to them is measuring time
differently than they are, was a very smart decision because it added an extra level of interpretation
of the piece. At the end of this experiment, Mr. Jones then reminded the audience that there was a
total of 70 minutes of performance. When the show actually began, it started with a digital green
timer on the wall counting by the second, accompanied by Mr. Jones sitting at a desk with a desk
lamp. He began to read a story as a single dancer in a pink long sleeved top danced beside him. This
dancer was definitely the most memorable mover of the company due to her exquisite fluidity
within her movement, as well as the desirable synchronization between her movements and the
words of Mr. Jones's voice throughout the piece. As the performance carried on, the other dancers
performed various solos, duets, and quartets, of modern movement while Mr. Jones's stories carried
on.
There were moments where it was easy to interpret Mr. Jones's stories and see the correlation
between the story and the movement, but there were also moments when it was easy to get lost in
the movement and forget the story was even taking place. Although it could be frustrating at times to
suddenly realize the story had not registered due to the captivation of the dancers, it was still nice to

Why the United States Needs to Add More Political Parties American politics have been divided for
years by two political parties, the Democrats and the Republicans. These two parties are the two
major parties in America and they are the ones that run the American government and decide what is
best for the citizens of the United States. On the surface it seems like a great idea to have two parties
that each have different views and can represent both sides of an issue, but is that really the case. No
it 's not. The truth is that a two party political system just can 't work. The Democrat Republican
fight has consumed American politics. The two sides just can 't get along and it has affected America
's economy and power in world politics. In order for America to become the dominant world power
again and strengthen its economy further, it should implement a three party or multi–party political
system to relieve the deadlock in Congress between the Democrats and the Republicans, while at the

When the music reaches it's peak, it dies down to emphasize the lyrics of what could be considered
the chorus, Kuti's mocking soldier commands, and the men begin to act out those lyrics through
dance. After two iterations of the chorus and a brief intermission, the music picks up again and the
women join in. For the remainder of the work, dancers are engulfed into a vivacious, free–willed
routine – all the while mocking the movements and conduct of the not–so–vivacious zombie
soldiers. After watching this performance several times, it was this dichotomy between free will and
submission that stuck out to me most.
Moving on to the purpose of this paper, there are a few particular aesthetic senses of African music
and dance that appeared more up–front to me in this work. Polyrhythm, which refers to the ability to
maintain two different beats – two different rhythms – simultaneously, was apparent to me when
paying attention to the different ways that the men and women were respectively dancing
throughout the work. While the men showcased a lot of quick and rigid movements like the
plantation dance hop–step, the women seemed to focus more on less distinct, fluid movements that
continuously bridged into one another. To me, the significance of all this is that as dancers maintain
two rhythms simultaneously, the focus is no longer whether their movements are

installment in a trilogy titled "The Analogy Trilogy," bedazzled audience with an eccentric narration
of a conversation between Bill T. Jones and Dora Amelan illustrated in a dance taking audience back

provided audiences through contemporary dance many creations and performances gaining them the

A wide array of ideas and concepts are used to determine the categorization for post–modernism,
expressionism, and formalism. Post–modernism is typically categorized by everyday movements. It
is said by some that one does not even need be a dancer in order to do this style of choreography. It
is similar to contemporary dance which is a combination of modern and post–modern dancing.
Expressionism is basic movement with the intent of expressing an emotion or feeling behind it.
Expressionism originated in Germany and can be easily identified when associated with "story–
telling" or the conveyance of an emotion. Formalism is categorized by very structured and specific

You would not typically expect this in most modern dances because the purpose of modern dance is
to watch the dancers express and portray how the choreographer is feeling and the story that they are
trying to tell versus with this type of musical accompaniment, the choreographer is physically telling

tools of succession, deconstruction, and retrograde. The stage is set up in multiple squares. Jones

have been introduced to certain terms such as duration, repetition, and stillness. Duration is the

Jones's work "Analogy/ Dora: Tramontane". I saw vibratory movement and a certain movement
motif of wobbling knees. I also appreciated Jones's use of stillness. When there was stillness I felt
that it amplified the dialogue being spoken and it created a sense that what was coming next was
going to be important. The relationship between the choreography and the dialogue shifts
throughout the piece. At certain times the dancers literally act out what is being spoken and use a lot
of pedestrian movement, while other times the movement is more abstract. Sometimes the

The movement started out very literal to the story that was being told. It was characterized by a lot
of hand gestures, stillness and walking. In the same way, the dancers' narration of the conversation
between Bill T Jones and Dora was separate from the dancing on the rest of the stage. However, as
the story evolved, the movement became for poetic, interpretive and full–bodied. The dancers often
uncontrollably shook different parts of their bodies, and stomped around the stage. Yet, there was a
sense of awareness among the dancers as they were constantly watching each other. The movement
was very gender–neutral especially in lifts and there was a lot of experimenting with the weight of
other humans. It is also important to note that language was the majority of the sound score for the
performance, and that the dancers began to speak while they moved. The tone of the narration was
mostly calm, serene and factual; however, certain phrases would act as a gateway to Dora's emotion
that would explode into music and dance. The contrasting and interwoven simple but complex
movement and music served to convey a lot of ideas. The idea of evolution returned through the
way the movement evolved from literal to poetic and the narration changed from separate to inside
the movement. Essentially, this idea of evolution in costume, props, movement and music allowed to
performance to not just tell the story but to become Dora's story. It seemed to mirror the idea that
when someone recalls a memory it is easy to become submerged in the thought and nostalgia for
that moment. At the same time, this conveyed how history is still alive, that the past is always part of
the present. The narration was not laden with historical stories that often can alienate an audience. It
was very personal, which allowed the audience to connect on a human level with Dora's story. The

Delia Jones is the main fictional character in Zora Neal Hurston's story, "Sweat". A dynamic
character develops mentally just as Delia Jones does. She develops into a self–withholding character
who decides she will no longer fall victim to Sykes' abusive behavior. At first she was a submissive
individual who specifically suffered mental abuse from fears such as snakes. Even though this fear
remains in effect up until the end of the story; Delia's new hatred towards Sykes prevents her from
seeking any help whatsoever when he is dying from the snake bite. Another development is Delia's
purity involving religion. Lastly, Delia becomes a more outspoken person. For these reasons, I
believe Delia is a dynamic character. Delia Jones starts off as a healthy religious woman who
believes she found the love of her life, but little does she know that she will lose her beloved
qualities of freedom. This submissive quality appears two months after their marriage. Considering
she has experienced ongoing abuse for fifteen years, Delia has eventually had enough. I say it is
because of Sykes' irony that she develops hatred. Sykes' selfish demeanor is the cause for Delia's
weak state. He then goes on to humiliate her by saying "Ah 'm so tired of you Ah don 't know whut
to do.

Anti–choice legislation stems from the primarily anti–choice makeup of the United States legislature
(twenty–eight state governors, fifty–four senators, and two hundred sixty–four house representatives
define themselves as anti–choice, as of December 6, 2014) (Who Decides?). Twenty–seven anti–
choice laws were enacted in 2010 alone, bringing the United States to a cumulative eight hundred
thirty–five anti–choice measures statewide (Who Decides?). The state legislature's over one
thousand bills restricting women's right to legal abortion services in 2011 alone and Congress' at
least eight votes against women in 2012 (Jones) are just further examples of anti–women, anti–
choice legislation being enacted in Washington. In fact, Congress wasted no time on its anti–
abortion agenda in 2015, introducing measures to ban abortions after 20–weeks on its very first day
back in session in the New Year (Culp–Ressler). This measure is unconstitutional under Roe v.
Wade, full stop, however, the unconstitutionality of this proposal means nothing to anti–choice
legislators. The fact of the matter is that this anti–choice legislation isn't evidenced in scattered
instances across decades, it's constantly happening. Anti–choice members of the House at the last
minute pushed to vote on H.R. 7 in January of 2015 on the 42nd anniversary of Roe v. Wade and

Financial Assistance Program For Health Coverage
Mrs. Jones, like many older adults, is on a fixed income, has Medicare for health coverage, but lacks
prescription drug coverage. She was recently prescribed a new medication by her physician, which
she cannot afford. As Mrs. Jones nurse, it is my responsibility to advocate for her by providing
education and sharing information on the multiple different avenues available to decrease the cost of
the medication prescribed. I will identify three strategies in which I can help Mrs. Jones afford her
medication. First, I will provide education on her insurance plan and explain Medicare Drug Plans
and their enrollment process. Secondly, I will identify a financial assistance program which she
might qualify for. Finally, I will identify different ways to lower the cost of the medication such as
coupons, drug discount cards, switching to a generic medication, and store programs ("Prescription
Drug," 2014). All of these options are a solution to Mrs. Jones problem. In the meantime, it may be
beneficial to obtain free samples from the physician 's office if possible, but this only makes sense if
there is a strong likelihood that she will eventually be able to afford the new medication.
First, I must assess Mrs. Jones understanding of her insurance plan. Is she even aware that she doesn

November 10, 2011 by directors Bob Hercules of Media Process Group and Gordon Quinn of
Kartemquin Films, on PBS as part of the PBS Arts Fall Festival. The most salient aspect of this film
