What Are The Two Types Of Dreams Essay
But actually Dreams are of two types:
1) Dreams which comes when you sleep.
2) Dreams which don't let you sleep.
Our dreams should be SMART i.e.
S = Specific
M = Measurable
A = Achievable
R = Realistic
T = Time bounded
All of us have things that we believe in for, something that we want to accomplish. Deep down we
know it's a part of our destiny and we can feel it so strongly. The dream, compelling reason or
vision, Dream without which all our actions mean nothing. It is something which many people
around the world have forgotten, most working people don't have time to even think about it. You
can be an expert in every other block, you can be the best presentator on stage, you can be a best
salesman of your company but it would not be effective until you clearly accept your dreams. Think
about it, talk about it. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
No one would be able to answer. They will give you those standard, creepy answer – big car, big
house, good life. You can be a hard working businessman but not a dreamer and wouldn't be able to
succeed in the business, and on other hand you can be a dreamer but not a very sharp marketing
person but succeed in the business. If you look back at your life growing up every child grew up a
dreamer, there's never a single child without dreams because your mind at that time was so innocent
there was no reality, it was like I can do anything, I can fly but after you start working you don't
even have money to buy a ticket to fly for flight. What happens to most of the people as they grow
is they come into reality zone of jobs, reality zone of barely surviving every month and they forget
all the dreams they had growing up which is the saddest thing we see in people, when we see a
grown adult who has lost the power and capability of

A Career Intuitive, And I See Dream Jobs
m a career intuitive, and I see dream jobs. When I work with clients, I see their gifts and potentials;
what they came here to do; the careers they would love; and where they should live. This
information comes to me as photographic images and strong messages that I transmit directly to my
clients. Sometimes I see my client 's departed loved ones, who come to the session to offer career
guidance. This joining of two seemingly disconnected worlds–the divine realms and the world of
work–seems to be my particular talent. I was born in New Orleans to a French Cajun mother who
came from a long line of women with "the gift." I inherited a double dose of telepathy, clairvoyance
and precognition from her and her mother, and on back through generations of Degas women. These
unusual gifts were nurtured by the mysterious city of my childhood. In the haunted alleys of the
French Quarter, most everybody gives respect to the "unseen" world in some form or other: voodoo,
Catholicism, psychics, vampires, Mardi Gras. My early years were flavored with this spicy magic,
from my Grandpa 's stories of the swirling Mississippi River to the unforgettable images I absorbed
in the dark recesses of Crescent City life. I thrived on the rhythms of my crazy Cajun ancestors.
And, like them, I heard other people 's thoughts and had vivid dreams of events that would happen
in the future. My psychic gift is most powerful now that I use it to help others. The precognitive
images that I see help me guide my

Business Management And My Dream Job
During my sophomore year in high school, I made up my mind, I wanted to study business. My
uncle owns his own business, he took me to work with him one day ever since then I have been in
love with the concept of being your own boss. Although I didn't really understood at the time what
the job required or was about. The environment felt so natural and positive. As I got older and
started looking more into it really felt like something suited for me that is why I choose this career.
My major is Business Management and my dream job is to become a Management Analyst. A
bachelor degree is needed for entry level job as a management analyst, however most employers
prefer to hire management analyst who has a Master's Degree in Business Administration (MBA).
Psychology is one of the required courses needed to get a business management, the others are
Accounting, Intro Contemporary Business, business law, principles of marketing, public speaking,
Principles of Sociology, Intro to Computer
Applications Introductory Technical and Business Writing, the Dynamics of Communication. I truly
believe that psychology will help me greatly in the field of business management the reason for that
being, we learned a lot this semester of all things we learning how to deal with stress had to be one
my favorite. I plan on entering a field where the stress level is way above average, so therefore I
will apply the techniques we used in class.

Creating Your Dream Job
Almost every organization's human resource department is involved in the imperative activity of job
description and specification. Individual businessman and entrepreneurs also employ the activity of
the job description and specification before employing individuals. The activity of job description
involves a written statement of what a worker does, how an individual does his or her work and
under which conditions he or she performs their duties.
Job Description and Specification
Job Title: Public Relations Officer
Location: Davis &Shirtliff Ltd
The term Public relations (PR) refers to the act of an individual or organization managing the
reputation of an organization or oneself. A career in Public relations demands a clear understanding
and support for clients. Also, it demands trying as much as possible to influence the public's opinion
and behavior in favor of an organization. Since the media plays an important role in making the
public aware of the current happenings all around the world, organizations are faced with a lot of
criticism and scrutiny (Marder, 2013). Such scrutiny and criticism bring forth the need of a PR
officer. PR officers use the same media to manage and maintain their reputation with clients. Since
the organization's stakeholders are quite important, a PR officer is required to closely monitor the

A Book On The Principles Of Finding The Dream Job
We have entered the era of the new wealth, in which the meaning of what you are doing is worth
more than money, according to Roman Krznaric. He wrote a book on the principles of finding the
dream job, and highlighted the main points in it. Therefor, every individual has a unique way of
interpreting the meaning of fulfilling work. To a limited extent, the term might refer to a piece of
work that can meet all the sustainable qualities of a given task so as an individual can quickly attain
the fundamental goals that they need.
Various authors are making the statement about the topic. However, the tenacity of this essay is to
describe the book by Roman Krznaric on how an individual can find the fulfilling work.
Nonetheless, it is to provide an analysis of the specific terminologies used in the book and present
suggestions on how best a person could find a fulfilling piece of work.
Based on the various interpretations that have been made by Roman, the book is exploring on the
competition of claims that most people face for their money, the status of life, and eventually the
meaning of their lives. It is a concept that can help an individual find a type of career in which he
can thrive. On the other hand, the idea of fulfilling work in a job market is to find a job that reflects
on an individual's passion, kind of talents, and the personal values (Krznaric 57). It is often
classified as a modern invention but currently an individual's expectations are often higher than the

How Did Steve Jobs Embodies The American Dream
The American Dream The American Dream to me is starting out just average and accomplishing
something huge later in life. One person who fits my definition of the American Dream is Steve
Jobs. Steve built the first Apple computer in his garage so that shows he was just average when he
started, it also shows he was very focused because he didn't need a fancy place to be able to do his
work he just knew what he needed to do, also his unbelievable imagination helped him be so
successful, and he had an amazing ability when it came to design and develop technology. Steve
Jobs embodies the American Dream because he was very determined, he had an amazing
imagination, and his uncanny ability to design and develop technology. Steve Jobs didn't start out
with much compared to what he ended with, he was just average growing up. He actually made the
first Apple computer in his garage. This shows how determined he was when it came to being
successful. He could do what he needed to do to start his company in his own garage. Steve was
committed to making the perfect products. Jobs had some negative personality traits, but his will
and determination overpowered those traits and caused him to be successful. When Apple was
growing he had to make decisions that could risk the future of the company. That ... Show more

trying to change the way people communicate, work, and live their lives. Basically, he was trying to

Steve Jobs Failure Of The American Dream
Society has their own opinions on what the equivocal American Dream embodies, the most
prevalent conception being an extremely profitable career. However, many fail to see that the
American Dream is mainly the ideal that a person can leave a positive impact on the world in any
way possible. On the other hand, there's always the select few who interpret this American ideal for
its true meaning. Apple cofounder Steve Jobs exhibits the essence of the American Dream through
his dedication in creating extraordinary, breakthrough products. He had left his mark on the world
by making gadgets that were unimaginable to the average person; that's just how innovative his
products really were. Steve Jobs was able to achieve this American Dream through ... Show more

Only, the next big concept that Jobs went after wasn't exactly a product, but rather a service
infamously known as the iTunes Store. Before the iTunes Store, most people had been obtaining
their most prized music through buggy music sites that provided less than adequate sounding music
files for free. Not only was this method problematic, but because people were also paying absolutely
nothing for the music, it was illegal. However, the iTunes Store paved the way for fewer
complications. In fact, by using Jobs' new service, people could now "own [their] own songs, burn
them on CDs, be assured of the download quality, get a preview of a song before [they] download it
and use it with [their] iMovies and iDVDs to "make the soundtrack of [their] life" (403). iTunes was
a life–changing service; it was the first online music store where anyone could obtain the music that
they wished for and have it downloaded straight to their computer or iPod. More importantly, this
particular service was legal. Jobs made a service that people knew nothing about become a service

How Did Steve Jobs Achieve The American Dream
Joseph Rivelli Miss Curtin English 9 1 December 2015 Steve Jobs and The American Dream The
American Dream isn't an easy thing to achieve. The American Dream is when someone's hard work,
attitude, and determination leads to success and achieving their goals and their happiness. Steve
Jobs has achieved the American Dream because his attitude and determination led him to achieve
his goals and even more than he hoped for. The American Dream is achieving goals set and being
happy. "Some say that the American Dream has become the pursuit of material prosperity." This
may be achieving goals and being happy to some people. However, material possessions only bring
people short term happiness. People should try and achieve long term happiness. "Yet others look
toward a new American Dream with less focus on a financial gain and more emphasis on living a
simple, fulfilling life." I agree with the people that believe this because most of the American Dream
has to do with happiness. As long as the persons happy, they've achieved the American Dream.
Steve Jobs is a perfect example of someone who's achieved the American Dream. ... Show more

Dream Job: Non-Profit Organization For Criminal Justice
My Dream Job If I could take any of my passions and turn it into a job I would make a non–profit
organization for Criminal Justice. This organization would help people who don't have a fair trial or
they need help with the law without having to pay for everything. Getting a layer can be very
expensive and some people cannot afford that, so therefore they have a large disadvantage in the
court case. This job would solely be based off of donations and it would help provide jobs for
people in the community. In this organization I would make sure that there would be no racial
discrimination because that is often a factor in why some people get sent to jail, for their color. Sixty
seven percent of the jail population is people who are colored.

After the escape there was a 300 dollar reward for her and her brothers. Her two brothers returned to
the plantation out of fear, but Harriet kept traveling north. Her ambition and dreams were taking her

sun came up like gold through the trees, and over the fields, and I felt like I was in heaven". When
Harriet passed the Mason–Dixon line she had accomplished her dreams and, as she said, felt a

What Is My Dream Job Essay
Pursuing My Dream Job Everyone wants to be something when they grow up, and there are millions
of professions to choose from. During my four long years of high school, I have learned and
experienced many things in and out of the classroom. Some of it helped me decide what profession I
wanted to pursue when I graduated, but I mostly got the idea when I was eleven years old and my
sister had her triplets that were born premature. I want to have a job that gives back to the
community, that involves children and infants. I've had a lot of time to think about what I want to be
when I graduate from high school. As a freshman and sophomore, thinking about a profession was
not a priority because I thought I had plenty of time to decide. As I approached the time that I will
be on my own, I started to panic a little. This profession that I chose will most likely be my job for
most of my life. I thought of all the terrible things that could come out of picking the wrong
profession. What if I end up hating this job? What if I won't be able to meet the qualifications of the
profession I decide to pursue? Thanks to my mom, she calmed me down and always had an answer.

"Choose a job you love, and you will never have to work a day in your life" (Confucius)
Working overtime is easier with jobs you enjoy, and it is more fulfilling. The way to find a job you
like isn't to trawl the Internet for jobs. It is to look and examine yourself introspectively and decide
what you love doing. There is a good chance you do not know what you love doing, and if that is
the case, you have the exciting opportunity to start experimenting and tasting new experiences in
this world to find out what you actually enjoy.
You can't know until you try. If you do not have a dream job in mind, or you do not know what you
love doing, then maybe you should put this book down and come back to it after you have
experimented a little and found out what you love doing.

Personal Narrative: I Believe In Pursuing Dreams
I believe in pursuing dreams
Ever since we were kids we all had dreams. I think these dreams are precious to everyone but the
more you grow up the more and more people look down on you for trying to pursue your dreams if
they do not meet the "norm" or if people don't understand or know what you are trying to pursue.
We all have dreams, dreams that we let go or just didn't want anymore all of them help shape us into
who we are and who we are going to become but this is where I think society norms start to poison
your mind. This poison makes you meet their norms. Think of a normal job. You probably thought
of an office job behind a desk with a computer. Now think of your dream job. This could range from
anything. So I will not try to guess what you were thinking, but I will share mine. I am sure if I tried
hard enough I could remember before this moment but one of the youngest memories I can think of

My Dreams
I grew up in a poor neighbourhood. The town my parents decided to raise my brothers and I wasn't a
place where you had the means to pursue your dreams. My parents were young and naive thinking
that they could raise a family at such a young age. Although we had a place to sleep and food to eat,
we were barely getting by. Coming home every day from selling snacks in front of the local school,
my brothers and I were greeted with my mother's smile but we could all tell the twinge of sadness
hiding itself behind her smile. Growing up in a poor neighbourhood, the kids around the block knew
each other very well; we could understand each other because of our situations. In some nights the
neighbourhood kids would gather around the abandoned house just around the corner from where I
lived. We would talk about our dreams of going away to the city and our unrealistic hopes of
becoming a millionaire overnight. We all knew that was impossible, but one can dream. I–for the
longest time–dreamt of becoming a teacher. When I was younger I knew it would only be a dream,
it would never become a reality. But as I grew up watching "children who don't dream, or dismiss
their own desires", I knew I wanted to make something out of myself, to prove those that said I
couldn't, that I could. I wanted to make my dreams a reality. When I voiced these feelings to my
family, my father laughed at me. I sat there at our worn down dinner table and fiddled with my

Pursuing Dreams In John Steinbeck's Of Mice And Men
Dreams are worth pursuing if you are dedicated and determined to achieve your dream. The
economy has fallen and a lot of jobs aren't able to for people to make money. Everyone is desperate
to get a job and succeed, but you must sacrifice certain things to achieve your goal. It is worth
pursuing your dreams like curley's wife, george, and lennie. One reason in OMAM that shows your
dreams is the chances you can take. Curleys wife wants to be famous and free. The text says, "but
the guys said, i coulda. If id went, i wouldn't be livin like this, you bet." (p.88–89). This shows that
her dream is to be famous. She said that she would be better off following her dream. Another way
they show dreams is that she doesn't want to be locked up by curley. In the text, it says, "Well i ain't
givin you no trouble. Think i don't like to talk to somebody ever' once in awhile? Think i like to
stick around in that house alla time?" This shows her dream that she doesn't want to be controlled by
curley and be locked up and controlled by him all the time. This is one way that dreams are

goal. Another way they are hard working is that they got a job. The text says, " No he aint, but he
sure a hell of a good worker. Strong as a bull... He can do anything you tell him." (p. 22). This
shows they are hard working because he can do any task you throw at him and will not give up and
will do his best no matter how hard and difficult the job is. This is the second way dreams are

Whatever a person's passion is can translate into a job as long as the person is able to be creative.
The author reiterates how necessary it is to enjoy oneself as much as possible and it is painfully
clear why this constant reminder is necessary. Many students succumb to pressure from family and
peers to settle for stability rather than following their personal dreams. There are quotes throughout
the book from many influential and popular figures like Howard Stern, Oprah Winfrey, Marilyn
Monroe, and Jim Carrey that champion being an individual who is fearless about following a
passion. By including stories and quotations from familiar figures, Combs makes achieving a dream
seem feasible to college students who are aware that it is often much easier to succumb to fears. By
outlining six common fears, the author identifies why some people may be preventing themselves
from reaching their full potential. Action is essential to combating fear and becoming successful.
Specific actions are provided in the book to beat major fears. The author realizes how easy it is to
allow a fear of failure as defined by a 3.0 GPA hold someone back from following their dream. For
this reason, the value of experiences such as internships and study abroad over grades is
extraordinarily essential to developing someone's sense of self–worth. Experiences

woman, I feel Verizon would be a beneficial company to work at because of their generous work life
policies, their inclusiveness towards women, and their opportunities for advancement. The company
offers maternity leave for both a live birth or adoption. The length and pay of this maternity leave
varies based on job position but it is generally longer than eight weeks and is fully paid. This is
wonderful given that 3.3 weeks at just 33% pay is the national average among American women
who were even able to receive leave. Additionally, new fathers are generally allowed paternity leave
so they can spend time with their newborns and distribute the childbearing burden more equally
across gender lines. This generous policy must be one of the main reasons that women rate Verizon

My Dream Job At The Nike Outlet
As people grow from their adolescent years, to their adult years, one of the hardest ideas they have
to come up with is what their future will look like. Many are set on the idea of being rich, having a
nice house and car, and having the luxury life. But in reality, very few are actually like that. As a
junior in high school I started to look for a part–time job as i was interested in the aspect of money.
My "dream job" since I was about 8 was to work at the Nike outlet in Centralia, Washington. So
long story short, I applied and applied over and over and eventually got the call during August 2015.
Even though working an already busy schedule was a definite struggle, I really enjoyed my time and

Cost can also depend on if you attend a two year school to get your basic classes out of the way. The
average cost of a bachelor's degree at a public four year school would be $22,261, compared to a
private school where the price jumps to $43,289. Again, the cost depends on what school you attend.
Because of my interest in continuing an athletic career on the baseball field, where I attend school is
limited. With my interest in being both on the academic and athletic fields, my choices are
narrowed. If I were to choose my perfect path it would be attending a two year school to get my
basic studies done cheaper, and then after those two years, I would like to attend a four year school
to finish up my degree in business. Many of the requirements to get into the schools I would look at
attending require a high school diploma and then specific requirements for each school after that.
With what I have done as a student in the classroom, I have met or exceeded some requirements to
receive admission into colleges. With the training that I hope to receive while attending school to
get my bachelor's in business, I hope to receive many skills that are needed, and then use those and
the skills that I already have, to garner a job in the field of business. Skills typically needed to be in
the sales management profession include leadership and coaching. Really in the hindsight of

College Admissions Essay: A Dream Job
Ever since I was about 7 years old, I loved seeing people smile, laugh, just overall feel good. Going
out of my way to make sure they have everything they need, or feeling healthy and satisfied was,
and still is my top priority. However, emotionally aiding them has always been what I prefer, and
enjoy the most. How our minds work, and knowing what makes people do what they do has never
failed to fascinate me. Working with other people with the same interests as me, analyzing the
minds of extreme criminals, and at the same time giving their victims the justice they deserve by
ensuring their attacker was caught would be everything I could ever ask for. Which is why my
dream job would be to work in the BAU (Behavior Analysis Unit) for the FBI. Let's start from the
beginning, when I very first had career options pop into my mind at only 8 years of age. I remember
from before my mom passed away when I was 6; she was a psychiatrist, and always helping people
however she could. I admired this in her, and even more so now that I can actually comprehend just
how much she did for everyone that came to her. At first, I had my mind set on being a genetic

The Job Of Her Dreams
Karen is 23. She finished college last year and landed the job of her dreams in graphic arts. The
work is creative and challenging. Karen is pretty and has many friends so she is frequently included
in the party circuit at work. She should be happy and excited. After all, her life is beginning just as
she carefully planned it. But instead, she feels dead and dull inside. She keeps up with her job, but it
doesn't bring the joy she thought it would. She feels distant from its satisfactions. She doesn't feel as
creative as she once was, and doesn't understand the dull distant sorrowing she feels despite her
accomplishments.
Karen had an abortion in college. She thought she had a serious committed relationship with her
boyfriend, but when she told him she was pregnant he was definitely less than happy about it. He
told her the decision was up to her, but if she wanted an abortion, he would pay for it. She sensed
his lack of commitment to her and his baby and decided on abortion. Two of her roommates had
abortions and they seemed fine afterwards. What's wrong with her that she feels so depressed about
it?
Karen's story is repeated every day on college campuses and in high schools across the country.
Since 1973 when the Roe v. Wade decision legalized abortion, an estimated twenty–eight million
women in the United States have had one or more abortions. These were women who were

Steve Jobs: The Embodiment Of The American Dream
What is the American Dream; rising up from adversary to complete a goal, beating the odds to
create something incredible? Whatever it is, Steve Jobs is the embodiment of the American Dream.
Starting his own companies like Apple and Pixar are just the beginning of his accomplishments; he
spawned a new generation of technology. As shown in Walter Isaacson's Steve Jobs, Jobs did this by
his ability branch from conformity to create something new; he left behind what others did and
forged his own path to the future. Most people thought that his ideas were insane, but nevertheless,
he continued to think them up because all of the other ones were hackneyed. Jobs understood the
fact that for change to happen, someone had to "think differently...Because a lot of people ... Show

He used his amazing ability to see what people would want, not what they wanted now. When asked
in an interview if he did any market research, "Jobs responded by scoffing, "Did Alexander Graham
do any market research before he invented the telephone?" (170). Jobs would just go and invent the
future. Other companies would study the consumers and create something that they wanted, Jobs
created something that they will want; if Jobs followed by examples of other companies, he would
have never innovated, never created something new. For that matter, any important person in history
who innovated went against. Diverging from the norm was the only way that progress could be
made. Otherwise, technology would have been stagnant, stuck in an era where computers
represented corporate companies and were disliked by many, if a person like Jobs did not look to the
future. "It's important that we make this transformation [to the computer being the hub of all
devices], because of what Clayton Christensen calls 'the innovator's dilemma',' where people who
invent something are usually the last ones to see past it, and we certainly don't want to get left

Working Towards Your Dream Job
Working Towards Your Dream Job At some point in our lives, the majority of us will find ourselves
searching for a job. From deciding what position you want, to following up after an interview, you
must be intentional about your decisions throughout the job search process. Figuring out the job you
actually want might be the toughest and most important part of this. If you are working on a degree
or certification for a specific career, my advice is to search for an entry level position with a
company that you will be able to use your degree/certification in one day. Even if filing documents
or sweeping a warehouse isn't your dream job, doing these tasks at your dream company is one of
the best ways to realize your long–term goal. This will not only be beneficial to you, as you will be
getting firsthand experience with the company to see if it is a place you really want to work for, but
the hiring manager for the entry level position could see you as a long term investment, which will
give you a leg up on the competition. Also, most companies prefer to promote within the
organization, so once you complete your degree and a position is open, you will have that extra
boost in your favor. Once you decide what job you're after, you need to prepare your resume. The
resume should be clean, simple, and no more than two pages. Keep it updated with any major
accomplishments, but other than that, leave it alone. Send your resume only when you know that the

Let America Be America Again: Poem Analysis
"Let America be America Again" is a powerful piece of poetry by Langston Hughes written in 1938.
The American dream is achievable. Achievement and success comes quite naturally for some,
especially if one comes from the right family, has the right skin color, and even has the drive to
succeed. However, "Let America be America Again"(Hughes 945) is not a poem about the
privileged, but a poem that shows the struggles of the common folk; the average joes who are not
willing to give up their own American dream. The oppressed, burdened, enslaved, mistreated, and
abused are portrayed in this poem. Still, most Americans believe America is free, and the American
dream is alive and attainable. Hughes brings out such a strong message in this work that it is not just
relevant to the year it was written (1938), but has an extremely strong purpose and voice today.
Langston Hughes did not have the easiest life. One can see those struggles, especially through this
poem. He was an African American author born in 1902, and raised by his grandmother in his early
childhood. He then went to live with his ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The dream Hughes constantly talks about in "Let America be America Again", is prominent. This
dream consists of not only personal success, but success as a culture and as a society. America
should bleed equality, yet people still have to fight for equal rights. Hughes does an excellent job
depicting this philosophy in his poem. The way he flows from point to point, always reiterating that
the dream is very much alive, albeit not for him, is what grabs the reader's attention. The struggle
depicted in this poem, can be relatable to many social groups. Hughes comes across as if he

What Are The Two Types Of Dreams Essay

  • 1. What Are The Two Types Of Dreams Essay But actually Dreams are of two types: 1) Dreams which comes when you sleep. 2) Dreams which don't let you sleep. Our dreams should be SMART i.e. S = Specific M = Measurable A = Achievable R = Realistic T = Time bounded All of us have things that we believe in for, something that we want to accomplish. Deep down we know it's a part of our destiny and we can feel it so strongly. The dream, compelling reason or vision, Dream without which all our actions mean nothing. It is something which many people around the world have forgotten, most working people don't have time to even think about it. You can be an expert in every other block, you can be the best presentator on stage, you can be a best salesman of your company but it would not be effective until you clearly accept your dreams. Think about it, talk about it. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... No one would be able to answer. They will give you those standard, creepy answer – big car, big house, good life. You can be a hard working businessman but not a dreamer and wouldn't be able to succeed in the business, and on other hand you can be a dreamer but not a very sharp marketing person but succeed in the business. If you look back at your life growing up every child grew up a dreamer, there's never a single child without dreams because your mind at that time was so innocent there was no reality, it was like I can do anything, I can fly but after you start working you don't even have money to buy a ticket to fly for flight. What happens to most of the people as they grow is they come into reality zone of jobs, reality zone of barely surviving every month and they forget all the dreams they had growing up which is the saddest thing we see in people, when we see a grown adult who has lost the power and capability of ... • 2. A Career Intuitive, And I See Dream Jobs m a career intuitive, and I see dream jobs. When I work with clients, I see their gifts and potentials; what they came here to do; the careers they would love; and where they should live. This information comes to me as photographic images and strong messages that I transmit directly to my clients. Sometimes I see my client 's departed loved ones, who come to the session to offer career guidance. This joining of two seemingly disconnected worlds–the divine realms and the world of work–seems to be my particular talent. I was born in New Orleans to a French Cajun mother who came from a long line of women with "the gift." I inherited a double dose of telepathy, clairvoyance and precognition from her and her mother, and on back through generations of Degas women. These unusual gifts were nurtured by the mysterious city of my childhood. In the haunted alleys of the French Quarter, most everybody gives respect to the "unseen" world in some form or other: voodoo, Catholicism, psychics, vampires, Mardi Gras. My early years were flavored with this spicy magic, from my Grandpa 's stories of the swirling Mississippi River to the unforgettable images I absorbed in the dark recesses of Crescent City life. I thrived on the rhythms of my crazy Cajun ancestors. And, like them, I heard other people 's thoughts and had vivid dreams of events that would happen in the future. My psychic gift is most powerful now that I use it to help others. The precognitive images that I see help me guide my ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 3. Business Management And My Dream Job During my sophomore year in high school, I made up my mind, I wanted to study business. My uncle owns his own business, he took me to work with him one day ever since then I have been in love with the concept of being your own boss. Although I didn't really understood at the time what the job required or was about. The environment felt so natural and positive. As I got older and started looking more into it really felt like something suited for me that is why I choose this career. My major is Business Management and my dream job is to become a Management Analyst. A bachelor degree is needed for entry level job as a management analyst, however most employers prefer to hire management analyst who has a Master's Degree in Business Administration (MBA). Psychology is one of the required courses needed to get a business management, the others are Accounting, Intro Contemporary Business, business law, principles of marketing, public speaking, Principles of Sociology, Intro to Computer Applications Introductory Technical and Business Writing, the Dynamics of Communication. I truly believe that psychology will help me greatly in the field of business management the reason for that being, we learned a lot this semester of all things we learning how to deal with stress had to be one my favorite. I plan on entering a field where the stress level is way above average, so therefore I will apply the techniques we used in class. What is a management analysis? Management analysts, also ... • 5. A Book On The Principles Of Finding The Dream Job We have entered the era of the new wealth, in which the meaning of what you are doing is worth more than money, according to Roman Krznaric. He wrote a book on the principles of finding the dream job, and highlighted the main points in it. Therefor, every individual has a unique way of interpreting the meaning of fulfilling work. To a limited extent, the term might refer to a piece of work that can meet all the sustainable qualities of a given task so as an individual can quickly attain the fundamental goals that they need. Various authors are making the statement about the topic. However, the tenacity of this essay is to describe the book by Roman Krznaric on how an individual can find the fulfilling work. Nonetheless, it is to provide an analysis of the specific terminologies used in the book and present suggestions on how best a person could find a fulfilling piece of work. Based on the various interpretations that have been made by Roman, the book is exploring on the competition of claims that most people face for their money, the status of life, and eventually the meaning of their lives. It is a concept that can help an individual find a type of career in which he can thrive. On the other hand, the idea of fulfilling work in a job market is to find a job that reflects on an individual's passion, kind of talents, and the personal values (Krznaric 57). • 6. How Did Steve Jobs Embodies The American Dream The American Dream The American Dream to me is starting out just average and accomplishing something huge later in life. One person who fits my definition of the American Dream is Steve Jobs. Steve built the first Apple computer in his garage so that shows he was just average when he started, it also shows he was very focused because he didn't need a fancy place to be able to do his work he just knew what he needed to do, also his unbelievable imagination helped him be so successful, and he had an amazing ability when it came to design and develop technology. Steve Jobs embodies the American Dream because he was very determined, he had an amazing imagination, and his uncanny ability to design and develop technology. Steve Jobs didn't start out with much compared to what he ended with, he was just average growing up. He actually made the first Apple computer in his garage. This shows how determined he was when it came to being successful. He could do what he needed to do to start his company in his own garage. Steve was committed to making the perfect products. Jobs had some negative personality traits, but his will and determination overpowered those traits and caused him to be successful. When Apple was growing he had to make decisions that could risk the future of the company. That ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... • 7. Steve Jobs Failure Of The American Dream Society has their own opinions on what the equivocal American Dream embodies, the most prevalent conception being an extremely profitable career. However, many fail to see that the American Dream is mainly the ideal that a person can leave a positive impact on the world in any way possible. On the other hand, there's always the select few who interpret this American ideal for its true meaning. Apple cofounder Steve Jobs exhibits the essence of the American Dream through his dedication in creating extraordinary, breakthrough products. He had left his mark on the world by making gadgets that were unimaginable to the average person; that's just how innovative his products really were. Steve Jobs was able to achieve this American Dream through ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Only, the next big concept that Jobs went after wasn't exactly a product, but rather a service infamously known as the iTunes Store. Before the iTunes Store, most people had been obtaining their most prized music through buggy music sites that provided less than adequate sounding music files for free. Not only was this method problematic, but because people were also paying absolutely nothing for the music, it was illegal. However, the iTunes Store paved the way for fewer complications. In fact, by using Jobs' new service, people could now "own [their] own songs, burn them on CDs, be assured of the download quality, get a preview of a song before [they] download it and use it with [their] iMovies and iDVDs to "make the soundtrack of [their] life" (403). iTunes was a life–changing service; it was the first online music store where anyone could obtain the music that they wished for and have it downloaded straight to their computer or iPod. More importantly, this particular service was legal. Jobs made a service that people knew nothing about become a service that ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 8. How Did Steve Jobs Achieve The American Dream Joseph Rivelli Miss Curtin English 9 1 December 2015 Steve Jobs and The American Dream The American Dream isn't an easy thing to achieve. The American Dream is when someone's hard work, attitude, and determination leads to success and achieving their goals and their happiness. Steve Jobs has achieved the American Dream because his attitude and determination led him to achieve his goals and even more than he hoped for. The American Dream is achieving goals set and being happy. "Some say that the American Dream has become the pursuit of material prosperity." This may be achieving goals and being happy to some people. However, material possessions only bring people short term happiness. People should try and achieve long term happiness. "Yet others look toward a new American Dream with less focus on a financial gain and more emphasis on living a simple, fulfilling life." I agree with the people that believe this because most of the American Dream has to do with happiness. As long as the persons happy, they've achieved the American Dream. Steve Jobs is a perfect example of someone who's achieved the American Dream. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Getting a layer can be very expensive and some people cannot afford that, so therefore they have a large disadvantage in the court case. This job would solely be based off of donations and it would help provide jobs for people in the community. I want to have a job that gives back to the community, that involves children and infants. I've had a lot of time to think about what I want to be when I graduate from high school. As a freshman and sophomore, thinking about a profession was not a priority because I thought I had plenty of time to decide. There is a good chance you do not know what you love doing, and if that is the case, you have the exciting opportunity to start experimenting and tasting new experiences in this world to find out what you actually enjoy. My parents were young and naive thinking that they could raise a family at such a young age. Although we had a place to sleep and food to eat, we were barely getting by. Coming home every day from selling snacks in front of the local school, my brothers and I were greeted with my mother's smile but we could all tell the twinge of sadness hiding itself behind her smile. Growing up in a poor neighbourhood, the kids around the block knew each other very well; we could understand each other because of our situations. In some nights the neighbourhood kids would gather around the abandoned house just around the corner from where I lived. We would talk about our dreams of going away to the city and our unrealistic hopes of becoming a millionaire overnight. We all knew that was impossible, but one can dream. I–for the longest time–dreamt of becoming a teacher. When I was younger I knew it would only be a dream, it would never become a reality. But as I grew up watching "children who don't dream, or dismiss their own desires", I knew I wanted to make something out of myself, to prove those that said I couldn't, that I could. Whatever a person's passion is can translate into a job as long as the person is able to be creative. The author reiterates how necessary it is to enjoy oneself as much as possible and it is painfully clear why this constant reminder is necessary. Many students succumb to pressure from family and peers to settle for stability rather than following their personal dreams. There are quotes throughout the book from many influential and popular figures like Howard Stern, Oprah Winfrey, Marilyn Monroe, and Jim Carrey that champion being an individual who is fearless about following a passion. By including stories and quotations from familiar figures, Combs makes achieving a dream seem feasible to college students who are aware that it is often much easier to succumb to fears. By outlining six common fears, the author identifies why some people may be preventing themselves from reaching their full potential. Action is essential to combating fear and becoming successful. Specific actions are provided in the book to beat major fears. The author realizes how easy it is to allow a fear of failure as defined by a 3.0 GPA hold someone back from following their dream. For this reason, the value of experiences such as internships and study abroad over grades is extraordinarily essential to developing someone's sense of self–worth. Experiences ... Whatever it is, Steve Jobs is the embodiment of the American Dream. Starting his own companies like Apple and Pixar are just the beginning of his accomplishments; he spawned a new generation of technology. As shown in Walter Isaacson's Steve Jobs, Jobs did this by his ability branch from conformity to create something new; he left behind what others did and forged his own path to the future. Most people thought that his ideas were insane, but nevertheless, he continued to think them up because all of the other ones were hackneyed. Jobs would just go and invent the future. Other companies would study the consumers and create something that they wanted, Jobs created something that they will want; if Jobs followed by examples of other companies, he would have never innovated, never created something new. For that matter, any important person in history who innovated went against. Diverging from the norm was the only way that progress could be made. Otherwise, technology would have been stagnant, stuck in an era where computers represented corporate companies and were disliked by many, if a person like Jobs did not look to the future. "It's important that we make this transformation [to the computer being the hub of all devices], because of what Clayton Christensen calls 'the innovator's dilemma',' where people who invent something are usually the last ones to see past it, and we certainly don't want to get left behind" (532). From deciding what position you want, to following up after an interview, you must be intentional about your decisions throughout the job search process. Figuring out the job you actually want might be the toughest and most important part of this. If you are working on a degree or certification for a specific career, my advice is to search for an entry level position with a company that you will be able to use your degree/certification in one day. Even if filing documents or sweeping a warehouse isn't your dream job, doing these tasks at your dream company is one of the best ways to realize your long–term goal. This will not only be beneficial to you, as you will be getting firsthand experience with the company to see if it is a place you really want to work for, but the hiring manager for the entry level position could see you as a long term investment, which will give you a leg up on the competition. Also, most companies prefer to promote within the organization, so once you complete your degree and a position is open, you will have that extra boost in your favor. Once you decide what job you're after, you need to prepare your resume. The resume should be clean, simple, and no more than two pages. Keep it updated with any major accomplishments, but other than that, leave it alone. Send your resume only when you know that the company is hiring for ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

Achievement and success comes quite naturally for some, especially if one comes from the right family, has the right skin color, and even has the drive to succeed. However, "Let America be America Again"(Hughes 945) is not a poem about the privileged, but a poem that shows the struggles of the common folk; the average joes who are not willing to give up their own American dream. The oppressed, burdened, enslaved, mistreated, and abused are portrayed in this poem. Still, most Americans believe America is free, and the American dream is alive and attainable. Hughes brings out such a strong message in this work that it is not just relevant to the year it was written (1938), but has an extremely strong purpose and voice today. Langston Hughes did not have the easiest life. One can see those struggles, especially through this poem.
