Essay on Al-Shabaab: African Terrorist Organization
The Al–Shabaab is regarded as one of the most dangerous African terrorist organizations. Al–
Shabaab is a multiethnic militant group out of Somalia that uses many terrorist tactics in attempts to
gain control over the country of Somalia. They use many forms of terrorism that include ideological
revolutionary, dissident, and nationalist terrorism, as they have the motive to gain power over a
territory by overthrowing the government. The Al–Shabaab is suspected to have taken part in many
terrorist attacks, including the 1998 United States embassies bombings. The motive behind their
violence is their goal of creating an Islamic state in Somalia, which they believe is morally justified
by the ideological beliefs. An important psychological ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
If Al–Shabaab notices an individual that they think will benefit them and help their cause, they will
threaten the individual into joining the organization (NCTC, 2013). This is an example of the Al–
Shabaab using the rational selection method to select specific members. However, lower ranking
members and solders of Al–Shabaab are more concerned about nationalist matters in hopes of
gaining control of their territory, compared to its leaders, which are focused on the global jihad. It is
reported that the lower ranking members of Al–Shabaab will sometimes shift alliances and turn on
Al–Shabaab. This is an example of intergroup conflict within Al–Shabaab. If the members of the
organization do switch sides, Al–Shabaab is powerful enough to manipulate that clan network and
absorbing them. This makes Al–Shabaab more powerful and gains a significantly more amount of
members at the cost of one. Al–Shabaab keeps their head internal leader unclear, although it's
leadership as a whole eventually falls upon Ayman al–Zawahiri, al–Qaeda's leader. Though it seems
that Al–Shabaab tends to no comply with Ayman al–Zawahiri at all times. In 2010, Ayman al–
Zawahiri replaced Al–Shabaab's Emir, title of a Muslim ruler, Moktar Ali Zubeyr "Godane", who is
regarded as Al–Shabaab's Emir, with Ibrahim Haji Jama. However, Godane refused this notion and
continued on to be the organizations ruler. Al–Shabaab, the cells of al–Qaeda, recently have begun
to leave major cities in Somalia, in route

A Current View Of Shiite Terrorist Organization
Although there are many terrorist activities brought to the public's attention daily, most people only
have awareness of a few prominent terrorist groups. Terrorist organizations such as Hezbollah have
made a significant impact in parts of the world, yet few people have heard of them. Throughout this
paper, characteristics of Hezbollah will be examined such as, formation, leaders, purpose,
influences, financial support, associations and their impact to the world. Finally, this paper will
present a current view of the Shiite terrorist organization Hezbollah. Hezbollah, a radical Shi'a
Muslim group located in southern Lebanon was formed with the purpose of liberating Jerusalem
through establishing an Islamic government across the Arab world as well as the group does not
acknowledge the authority of the State of Israel. There are many names that Hezbollah has been
referred to such as Party of God, Organization by the Oppressed of Earth, and the Revolutionary
Justice Organization. The United States State Department labeled Hezbollah a foreign terrorist
organization. In 1982, the Shiite terrorist organization Hezbollah was founded as part of the
Iranian's government and led by religious clerics. Although it was founded then, Hezbollah's
foundation was formed around June 4th, 1967 which was the start to the six–day war. After
announcing the foundation of Hezbollah by Ali Akbar Motashemi, Sheikh Subhi Tufaili became the
first secretary general. Within the next couple years

Codex: Two Terrorist Organizations Al–Qaeda and Aum Shinrikyo Al Qaeda: Origins People too
commonly forget that the story of Al–Qaeda is very much the story of Osama Bin Laden: so much
of the development and evolution of Al–Qaeda truly is dependent on this one man. Thus, this means
that their narratives are forever intertwined. "The primary founder of Al Qaeda, Osama bin Laden,
was born in July 1957, the seventeenth of twenty sons of a Saudi construction magnate of Yemeni
origin. Many Saudis are conservative Sunni Muslims, and bin Laden appears to have adopted
militant Islamist views while studying at King Abdul Aziz University in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia"
(Katzman, 2005). The beginnings of Al–Qaeda were small, but decisive. Bin Laden arrived in
Afghanistan not long after the Soviets started to invade Afghanistan in 1979, using some of his own
money to make a name for himself as the primary fiscal supporter of the Afghan mujahedin and the
main recruiter of Arab and other willing participants/ soldiers for the war at the time (Katzman,
2005). Bin Laden aligned with Azzam in 1984 and structured a level of assistance by creating an
intensive organization network of offices in the Arab region, parts of Europe and in America; this
network was referred to as the Maktab al Khidamat (Services Office) (Katzman, 2005). Scholars
and professionals largely view the Maktab as the organization lead of Al Qaeda; this time also
marked a period when Bin Laden fought in the war, sustaining

ETA Discursive Essay:
From 1959 until 2010, Euskadi Ta Aaskatasuna or ETA has been fighting for autonomy in the
Basque region on the border between Spain and France. ETA hopes to achieve political and cultural
independence. However, it utilizes terror and violent intimidation to undermine existing
governments. It is a terrorist organization that with military–style precision inflicts maximum
damage in an attempt to realize its nationalist ideals. Cease–fires and negotiations are voided. ETA
argues that in striving for nationalist autonomy it is simply an organization of "freedom fighters"
struggling to resist what they perceive to be an illegitimate government.
ETA is a terrorist organization that has its roots in ethnic nationalism. Basque separatists have long
desired independence, based on a culture that is dramatically different from that of the Spanish.
Their language (Euskara) predates French, Spanish, German and most other Continental languages,
and their customs and traditions are unique to the area. Nationalism is a prevalent theme and dates
back to the turn of the nineteenth century when the Republican government granted autonomy to the
Basque country under the leadership of Sabina de Arana y Goiri. During the Spanish Civil War
(1936–1939) the Basque people supported the Republicans. As a result, Franco targeted them,
decimating the Basque town of Guernica, killing over a thousand people. After the war, Franco
continued to oppress and discriminate against the

An International Terrorist Organization ( Al Qaeda
Investigate an international terrorist organization (al–Qaeda) Al–Qaeda is an international terrorist
organization that was founded in the late 1980's by Osama bin Ladin and Abdullah Azzam. The
organization is still currently active today, even though it has become largely decentralized with the
deaths of many of its leaders following their attack on the twin towers in New York City, on
September 11th, 2001. Al–Qaeda was founded towards the end of the Soviet Union's attempted
expansion into Afghanistan. The group was initially a secret society did not even say their name,
because a Dr. Hunter told us in class if an organization becomes well known government will seek
them out an destroy them before they have a chance to do something. Before the events of
September 11th, 2001 Al–Qaeda had launched smaller, of which some were successful, terrorist
attacks against the United States. Their first attempt to attack was a failure as the soldiers that were
the target stayed at another hotel. They set of a bomb at the Movenpick Hotel in Yemen, but
succeeded in only killing civilians. Al–Qaeda did consider this attack successful internally, even
though the outside world did not. Al–Qaeda did attempt to assassinate United States president Bill
Clinton while he was in Manila in 1996. The plan was discovered and a bomb was found under a
bridge that Clinton's motorcade was supposed to go over. In 1998 al–Qaeda launched simultaneous
attacks on two United States embassies in east Africa.

Essay on United States Threat Analysis
Abu Sayyaf is still a big threat to the United States, it has roughly 200–500 members based out of
the southern Philippines. Here in the United States the FBI is still tracking 3 of the main organizers
of the Abu Sayyaf organization and the organization has made comments that have stated they want
to fight the United States and it is strongly believed that given the opportunity although they are a
small organization they will in fact take a huge leap at harming American citizens by means of
bombing, extortion, assassinations, beheadings and what they are notorious for the most is
kidnappings.
A spokesperson for the organization has stated, that "We have been trying hard to get America
because they may think we're afraid of them." He added ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
He is also known as the bomb maker for the ASG organization. These are the top three individuals
in the Abu Sayyaf organization. In order to understand the Abu Sayyaf organization its best to know
where it originated from then you'll see a bit as to how lethal they are and how deadly they can be to
the United States. In the early 1990s the ASG split from the Moro National Liberation Front
(M.N.L.F.). They were the two main Muslim groups operating in the southern Philippines. Abu
Sayyaf's first major attack happened in 1991, when the Abu Sayyaf group set off a grenade that
killed two American evangelists. The ASG was founded by Abdurajak Abubakar Janjalani, he was
educated by the Al Islamic Tabligh, a fundamentalist organization funded by Pakistan and Saudi
Arabia. Janjalani became radicalized after studying and traveling to many Muslim countries he was
then suspected to have met Osama Bin Laden in 1988 and given $6 million dollars to develop and
transform the southern Philippines into an Islamic state. The word Abu meaning father and Sayyaf
means Sword Smith, or more easily translated into "bearer of the sword" in Arabic. The ASG is one
the most violent organizations.
Now that we know how the ASG has formed it's even more important to know who its leaders are,
and what they are capable of. Knowing who you are fighting is half the battle when it comes to
being able to predict what may happen next. From the beginning we had

The Terrorist Organizations
The vast array of terrorist organizations that exist around the world have varying ideologies,
financial assets, command structures and power. Most of the world is aware of very few of these
groups and are often only able to identify organizations that have committed very destructive and
deadly attacks on citizens of western nations. Nearly everyone knows about Al Qaeda, the Taliban
and Hezbollah because their intentions are well publicized and they have successfully struck fear
into many groups. While these organizations are important to examine when studying terrorism, it is
more important that we look at all the groups that data have been collected for to find out how
terrorist groups work, their power and what factors are key to their continuing existence. The
definition of terrorism for this study will remain very broad as the data was pulled together from
several different sources to create one large data set.* To account for this, the definition used will be
"Terrorism is violence, or the threat of violence, calculated to create an atmosphere of fear and
alarm. These acts are designed to coerce others into actions they would not otherwise undertake, or
refrain from actions they desired to take." This may need to be relaxed slightly as it was the
definition used for the original dataset and this paper uses data from the newest set that is yet to be
published. The strength of organizations is a topic that is highly contested and discussed among
scholars because

ETA stands for Euskadi Ta Askatasuna in Euskara, or in English, Basque Fatherland and Freedom. It
grew out of the EKIN in Spain in 1959 and formed as a radical Basque separatist group.
Discontented with the moderate nationalism of the main Basque party, the ETA is dedicated to a
separate nation–state for the Basque people, an ethnic group inhabiting areas of northern Spain and
southwestern France. Currently there are about 300 members . Current leaders include Juan Cruz
Maiztegui Bengoa and José Luis Eciolaza Galán, however very little is known about the ETA power
hierarchy. They are extremely secretive about their leadership structure. However in 1992, ETA's

The group has attempted several cease–fires, including a 14–month one that lasted until December
1999. While there have been a number of ETA attacks since 2000, the group has claimed fewer
victims. The strings of bombings in September 2004, December 2005, and early 2006 were
generally preceded by warnings and did not result in any deaths. Also the Spanish government has
been cracking down, and there are more than one hundred suspected ETA members in Spanish
prisons today . In March 2006, ETA declared a permanent cease–fire, but broke this deal in
December with the placement of a car bomb. Since then they have appeared relatively weak,
especially with the arrest of Jurdan Martitegi, the fourth consecutive ETA military chief to be
arrested by the police . However, violence resurged in the summer of 2009, leading to the death of
three individuals and injuring dozens more. The ETA may simply be biding its time before
commencing another string of attacks. FARC FARC stands for Fuerzas Armadas Revolucionarias de
Colombia, or Revolutionary Armed Forces of Colombia. The group grew out of the Colombian
Communist Party in 1964 with the aim of overthrowing the current democratic government of
Colombia and replacing it with a Communist government. There are currently around 12,000 FARC

Essay about How Terrorist Organization Exploit Media Coverage
Terrorist organizations use a variety of ways to promote their propaganda and strike fear into the
society. Among one of the most effective avenues that terrorist organizations use to promote their
cause and strike terror across the globe is use of media. Immediately, one would ask, "wouldn't
success for terrorist organizations be based on the amount of casualties that their mission generated
as opposed to media coverage? Actually, the reverse is true, terrorists and their organizations thrive
on the media coverage that their operations generates because of the 'benefits' that are associated
with it. Moreover, Hoffman asserts that, all terrorists share one trait: Each group wants "maximum
publicity to be generated by its ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Finally, the last section of the essay will discuss Margaret Thatcher's claim that "publicity is the
oxygen of terrorism" and analyse why her claim is true and the way in which it can applied to the
society in which we are living right now. Media coverage enable terrorist organizations to achieve
their goals with minimal effort, and it does not cost them anything. However, at the same time, it
guarantees them to achieve psychological effects of fear on societies all over the globe which cannot
be achieved by other means. Zawahiri famously mentioned that, "we are in a battle and more than
half of this battle is taking place in the battlefield of the media... We are in a medial battle for the
hearts and minds of our umma. For instance, their act of terror that allowed them to get the media
coverage in the first place would had casualties for sure. However, without media coverage, these
terrorists would not have been able to inflict psychological fear on so many unintended targets
without even spending a penny to launch any direct attacks. Thus, in many ways for terrorists, the
above is a win–win situation. According to Weimann, there are several advantages for terrorists
from the media coverage of terrorist attacks. First, it allows the terrorists to generate a public
interest

Terrorism : A Modern Terrorist Organization
Terrorism is a tactic that has been used for centuries, it is one of the most important and dangerous
problems facing mankind today. Terrorism is the calculated use of violence, or the threat of
violence, to intimidate, frighten, or coerce. In addition, the history of terrorism is as old as humans '
willingness to use violence exist. The earliest known organization that exhibited aspects of a modern
terrorist organization was the Zealots of Judea. Zealots of Judea were known to the Romans as
sicarii, or dagger–men. They carried on an underground campaign of assassination of Roman
occupation forces, as well as any Jews they felt had collaborated with the Romans. Their motive
was an uncompromising belief that they could not remain faithful to the dictates of Judaism while
living as Roman subjects. Eventually, the Zealot revolt became open, and they committed mass
suicides. From the time of the Assassins (late 13th century) to the 1700s, terror and barbarism were
widely used in warfare and conflict. In addition to the acts of violence described above, there are
also numerous other types of violence that can exist under the framework of terrorism. Terrorism
can be executed or presented in a variety of forms. For example, bioterrorism, cyberterrorism,
nuclear terrorism, domestic terrorism, etc. It is important to highlight that terrorism can strike not
just large cities, but in any community of any size. Domestic terrorism in the United States is not a

Determined on removing all U.S power through force and violence, Osama and the members of Al

1992 to 1993 Osama issued various fatwahs against U.S soldiers stationed in Somalia, Yemen, the
Arabian peninsula, Saudi Arabia that stated that all American troops should be attacked. Proceeding
that, Osama issued new fatwas based upon religion, that it was Islamically proper to kill all
nonbelievers, even if others were killed by such actions and the reward was paradise. Many terrorists

Islamically proper for a person to kill his enemies and those of God.On the 23rd of August 1996,
Osama bin Laden took a step in making his dream a reality when he issued a Fatwa declaring war

There is not one set leader of Isis, but many high ranked men who make the decisions and influence
the group more than others. Osama Bin Laden was the creator of al–Qaeda and influenced some of
the ideas behind Isis. His biggest "accomplishment" was overseeing the operation of hijacking two
aircrafts and flying them into the Twin Towers in the heart of Manhattan. Another Muslim who has
influenced the terrorist organization of Isis is Abu Bakr al– Baghdadi, whose real name is Ibrahim
al– Badri. Baghdadi was credited with creating the Sunni Army, recruiting men to becoming
members of Isis, and known as a "highly organized and ruthless battlefield tactician" (BBC News
2015). Also, Abu Musab Al–Zarqawi was one of Baghdadi's forerunner's, and influenced one of the
most violent jihadist groups in Iraq until he was killed in 2006 by an American air raid. He was one
of the world 's most wanted men and had a huge impact on the extent of violence Isis would
eventually start to use. It's hard to say who is in charge of Isis because there are multiple Muslim
men who have the intelligence and rankings to assemble the organization.
The development of Isis, as well as al–Qaeda, occurred in four major stages. During the years of
2004 and up to 2006, when Abu Musab al–Zarqawi as well as other Muslim leaders established Isis,
marking the first stage of development.

The World Of International Terrorist Organizations

It has been over 13 years since President George Bush addressed Congress and the American people
on 18 September 2001 following the terrorist attacks on 11 September 200. The President stated
"Our war on terror begins with al Qaeda, but it does not end there. It will not end until every
terrorist group of global reach has been found, stopped and defeated". Most people would agree that
this speech is the moment when the United States officially declared war on terrorism and it should
very clear to any prudent person that the United States has yet to succeed in ridding the world of
international terrorist organizations. According the United States Department of State's website,
there are 60 active groups that are designated as international terrorist organizations, 37 of them
were all designated after the 11 September 2001 attacks. Even though the United States has
officially ended combat operations in Iraq and Afghanistan, organizations like Al–Qaida, Al–Qaida
in the Islamic Maghreb (AQIM), Al–Qaida in the Arabian Peninsula (AQAP), Al–Shabaab, and
Boko Haram, still present a clear threat to the United States and its' interest abroad. Using a

In order more effectively combat terrorist financing, governmental entities, individual donors, and
charities themselves must work together, do their due diligence when associating or donating to a
particular charity, and conduct risk assessments to determine susceptibility to terrorist influence.
The following are recommendations for (1) governmental entities, (2) individual donors, and (3)
charities to adopt in order to more effectively combat the financing of terrorist organizations.
a. Recommendation for Governmental Entities

If the regulations lack enforcement, there will be no incentive for charities to run risk assessments
and disclose such information.
Second, the utilization of financial technology at a greater rate to assess patterns and consider
smaller amounts.
Lastly, increased cooperation between countries in terms of the sharing of financial intelligence.
Cooperation is important because combatting terrorist financing will not be successful using a
unilateral approach. International cooperation is vital to contending with terrorist financing in
today's global financial system. Recognizing that the financial system is extremely global, with
financial transactions occurring across state borders every day and the reach of United States based
charities is so vast and occurs in many countries, cooperation and transparency between states is
vital to combatting the financing of terrorist organizations. If the "money trail" ends whenever the
money is being held in a foreign account because there is not cooperation, terrorists will continue to
funnel money through charities with bank accounts in different countries. Moreover, charities
themselves are extremely international, both because they may obtain donations from foreign
individuals and because they donate the money to individuals or organizations in different countries.
As a result, in order for governments to understand

than just a terrorist organization. In Lebanon it has become a major political party and social force

organization and this power has led to its dominance in the world of terror.

Israel was not the only foreigner in Lebanon. The United Nations also, had French and American
soldiers stationed in Lebanon as UN peacekeepers (Byers, 2003). This did not, please Hezbollah,
who wanted all foreigners off Lebanese soil. On April 18, 1983, Hezbollah finally struck. A
Hezbollah operative drove an explosive laden van into the U.S. embassy in Beirut, Lebanon killing

The Relationship Between Terrorist Organizations And Drug...
Summary The relationship between terrorist organizations and drug cartels creates a unique
challenge for financial institutions and government entities. The two criminal organizations work
together to capitalize on their specific skills or assets (Noriega, 2015). In addition, the globalization
of business trade, communications, and logistics has aided in their expanded growth and
sophistication (Noriega, 2015). This creates a large and complex web of relationships, criminal
activity, and financial transactions that are difficult to detect, deter and prosecute. As documented in
the National Terrorist Financing Risk Assessment of 2015, the "ongoing links between drug
trafficking networks and terrorist organizations, and their facilitators continue to present a residual
terrorist funding risk to the United States through "narco–terrorism" (Department of the Treasury,
2015). To demonstrate the complex web of persons, money, and illegal commerce, organized crime
in China has collaborated with Mexican drug cartels in extortion, drug trafficking, human trafficking
and money laundering (Ellis, 2012). This flow of illegal activity has filtered into the United States
and Canada through their semi–porous borders (Ellis, 2012). It is estimated that between $18–$39
billion dollars is sent back to Mexico each year from illegal activities (Perkins, Placido, 2010).
These funds are then laundered through various means, both within the United States and abroad.

Should Street Gangs Be Considered Terrorist Organizations?
Should Street Gangs be Considered Terrorist Organizations? Terror, violence, and death are the
common denominators in our society nowadays. Why? Because of street gang fights. Innocent
people have been killed as a result of street gangs. These groups of criminals use violence against
societies and band together for mutual protection and profit. Street gangs are gangsters controlling,
attacking, and killing people on the streets, as a result, they are one of the biggest social problems
around the world. According to the definition of terrorism in Dictionary.com, it is the unlawful use

Something similar is happening with terrorism in Peru because the MRTA (terrorist group) destroys
communities around the country. Unfortunately, Peru faces two types of violence: street gangs and
terrorism, but both of them with the same criminal purpose: to terrorize and create violence among
Peruvian citizens. The third reason to consider street gangs as terrorist organizations is because
gangs minimize the quality of life of any country. Two important characteristics define quality of
life: psychical and psychological. An example of diminishing of these aspects is the country of
Guatemala. For the past 10 years, street gangs in Guatemala have been on the rise. According to
Power Blogger, the street gangs have power of corruption over the police forces and the
government, paying them large amounts of money to be permitted to do whatever they want. The
blog also states that this type of political corruption is what keeps Guatemala moving on
economically. Some people believe there are corrupted police members who ask them for money
instead of putting them in jail. The reality is that if no one can stop the corruption, they might end
up governing the country soon. For example in Guatemala schools, little kids learn how to cheat,
they don't want to study anymore, and they prefer to cheat copying their tests or paying someone to
do so. The Ministry of Governance estimates that there are currently 175,000 street gang members

The Threat Of Terrorist Organizations
Question 1 Terrorist organizations have been in existence for hundreds of years long before they
were a serious threat to the United States. Terrorist organizations have the means and capabilities to
reach out to just about every country around the globe. Many of the current terrorist groups only
have their main focus on spreading their beliefs on others in the region they are located. Take ISIS
for instance, they are a group who only believe in an Islamic state and have continued their reign of
terror in Syria, Iraq and Afghanistan. This group believed that the people of their three nations need
to follow their way of life. ISIS first began in Iraq but want to create a complete Islamic state in the
Middle East. Other groups who ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Of course this has always been a major concern to the United States government, especially the
Homeland Security department. Terrorist groups are becoming or finding ways to become more
sophisticated in how they are committing terrorist attacks. With the support of certain countries who
support them and let them conduct fundraisers, they have implemented other means such as suicide
bombers and lone wolfs. In the recent years, many countries have come to agreements to support
each other on the war on terror. The United States have been working with other countries on
preventing attacks but to also have the capabilities to conduct anti–terrorist operations beyond
American borders. With the help with other countries, terrorist organizations are not only pushing
their belief of Islam upon others. The international crime wave has put all countries around the
world on alert because groups like the Sinaloa Cartel and mob type families are a part of a multi–
billion dollar industry that consist of human trafficking, drug smuggling, weapons trafficking and so
on. The United States cannot combat terrorist or organized crime families by itself and need as
much international cooperation from others around the world to ensure such problems are taking
care of. Its very upsetting to see this great nation involved with just about every problem that is
happening in other countries and here in America, there are people who are homeless

The Islamic Terrorist Organization Al Shabaab
Deviance has No Boundary

Terrorism has been a tactic used by humans since the beginning of time. The willingness and desire
to use violence and intimidation in the pursuit of political change has only increased as time
progressed. International Terrorist groups have evolved in tactics, inhumanity, and deviance, one of
the up and coming groups that have carried out alike threats and attacks is the Somali terrorist
organization Al Shabaab. This paper will cover an organization an organizational overview and
accounts of their strategies, tactics. The conclusion of this paper will provide will provide an
assessment of the current situation and threat level while providing recommendations for counter
terrorism policies in the us.
In 1969, General Mohamed Siad Barre carried out a military coup that made him president of the
state that had recently won its independence nine years earlier. Some of Barre 's aged tactics for
dealing with Somalia 's fledgling Islamist movements pushed the groups and gave them momentum.
When Muslim leaders denounced reform of Somali family law, Barre executed ten prominent
scholars and prosecuted hundreds more to asset his authority and to diminish the hopes of any others
that might've felt the same. In response, "underground organizations proliferated in every region in
defiance of the faith against the 'Godless socialists," (Abdurahman M. Abdullahi.) Barre ruled for

Terrorism And Terrorist Organizations Across Different...
The topic that our group decided to choose was terrorism because of the huge impact it has on the
society we live in today. With the recent attacks in Paris, terrorism as a whole needs to be discussed.
The specific section on terrorism that was given to me included different terrorist groups abroad.
There are endless terrorist organization in numerous countries that would take hours to discuss all,
but this will discuss the top four most known and deadliest terrorist organizations across different
continents. What will be discussed is how the organization operates, the leadership, religious beliefs,
and the goal of the organization.

Extreme growth and improvement after the attacks made the organization exploded in size over
many countries, including Pakistan, Iraq, Egypt, Yemen, Somalia, and Syria. But at the same time
United States declared war against terrorism and deployed troops in Afghanistan, Iraq and Iran. The
air assaults and ground troops slowly but surely reading territory from the terrorist organizations and
tried to put the government back on their feet. United States and the allies donated billions of dollars
to try to help rebuild the country supplying them with firearms, ammunition, and training. On paper
this seemed to work perfectly, but in reality the ten year struggle solves almost nothing. The
terrorists went into hiding and it took twelve years to find Osama bin Laden. Where did the United
States find this exclusive terrorist leader? They found him at his house, a compound in Pakistan.
Seal team six with approximately twenty highly skilled personnel infiltrated the compound and
eliminated the leader of the most known terroristic group. After this huge hit to the leadership of the
organization, the Al–Qaeda laid low. Instead of doing terrorist attacks, they funded and trained other
organizations to commit the acts that they couldn 't do at the time. Since they owned thousands of
oil rigs there was a consistent income for their twisted beliefs. The organization that Al–Qaeda

After gaining operational experience and skills fighting in Syria, jihadist operatives may establish
terrorist infrastructures to carry out terrorist attacks in their countries of origin. For al–Nusra this
becomes a goal to spread the teachings of Islam to the rest of the world. They may do so on their
own initiative or following directions from the Al–Nusra Front and other jihadist organizations.
While the threat from the Nusra Front has been overshadowed by the atrocities committed by the
other extremist groups like ISIS and ISIL and the rapid gains made by that organization in both
Syria and Iraq, we ignore the growing strength of the lower–key al–Nusra Front to our own peril. To
combat this now known threat it needs not to be done in the traditional way of airstrikes and
kidnapping leaders but by establishing a political solution. To get to this level Syria may have to be
divided to give control to the Free Syrian Army (FSA) this however would require time as it is a
long process to establish. If The United States abandons Syria to become a failed state the violence
will soon have its spillover effect on the region and the entire world. Nusra has become a critical, if
not the most critical, component of the armed opposition and is interlinked and co–located with
rebels who have received U.S. and allied support. Further, Nusra continues to benefit indirectly
from U.S. support for other rebel groups. Consequently as long as al–Nusra stands to oppose a
diplomatic solution and remands a current threat to freedom it stands then as a threat to the United
States and its allies. This treat influences potential attackers to come to the US and perform a
Jihadist movement. The question however for the United States is how do we strategically justify a
war on al–Nusra Front's campaign and still take down the al–Assad

Analysis: Is Hamas A Terrorist Organization: Hamas
Is Hamas a terrorist organization or a legitimate political group? Before this question can be
addressed, a brief history of the Hamas organization is required. This brief history will cover the
beginnings of Hamas, key points of the charter establishing Hamas, and the different interconnected
sections of the Hamas organization. Once this is done, the question "Is Hamas a terrorist
organization or a legitimate political group?" can be examined. This will be done by dividing the
question into two separate questions. The first question examined will be "Is Hamas a terrorist
organization?" and the second question examined will be "Is Hamas a legitimate political group?"

The most recent evidence of this is an article written by former President Jimmy Carter and former
Irish President Mary Robinson, recognizing Hamas as a military force and calls for Hamas to be
recognized as a legitimate political group (2014). This is not a new idea in which Hamas is a
legitimate political group. There have been several instances of different United States government
departments recognizing Hamas as a legitimate political party. In April 2013, a Department of
Education textbook states Hamas as a legitimate political group (The Commentator, 2013), as well
as a federal judge in 2006 (Gerstein, 2006). The list continues of supporters of Hamas being a
legitimate political group. The reason there are so many supporters is due to what Hamas has
accomplished as an organization since 2006. In 2006, Hamas won the majority in the Palestinian
legislative election. Since then, Hamas has embraced democracy and focused on different social
programs for the Palestinian people. Hamas leadership stated that the charter is unable to be

Money Laundering Is Used By Drug Dealers, Terrorists And...
Originally developed in the 1970's, money laundering is a technique used to disguise the proceeds
of crime, and reintegrate them into apparently legitimate assets (Levi and Reuter 2006). Money
laundering is commonly used by drug dealers, terrorists and other corrupt organizations (Seymour
2008). Drug trafficking, smuggling and embezzlement are examples of criminal activities that
generate large amounts of illicit funds for criminal groups; the desire to legitimize these funds and
minimize detection stimulate the demand for money laundering schemes (Buchanan 2004).
Organizations try to make the money appear legal and legitimate in order to minimize the possibility
of being apprehended by authorities. Money laundering takes away the integrity of licensed
financial systems and associations and ultimately provides organized crime the money it requires to
perform additional criminal activities (Seymour 2008). There are 3 phases of money laundering;
Placement, Layering and Integration. Placement is fulfilled by transforming the sum of cash
obtained from criminal activities into a more movable and less dubious form. After this, inserting
these earnings into the mainstream economic system makes the money appear legitimate. The
purpose of this is to withdraw the illegal profits and isolate it from their illegal origins. However, the
laundering mechanism is most susceptible during placement because illicit pursuit provokes large
sums of cash, which is hefty and tough to obscure in

Native-Born American Racist Terrorist Organization: The Ku...
The Ku Klux Klan is a native–born American racist terrorist organization that helped overthrow
Republican Reconstruction governments in the South after the Civil War and drive black people out
of politics. It revived in the 20th Century as a social lodge and briefly became a nationwide political
power. During the 1960s, the Klan fought the Civil Rights Movement in the South. Under attack in
state and federal courts, in a racially changed and disapproving South, the Klan hangs on –
marginally, but still violent.
In the summer of 1866, six young ex–Confederate officers organized a social club. Drawing on their

Growing numbers of people came to believe that the Klan was a civic disaster, and it very rapidly
declined.
In the 1930s, the Klan had no response to the Great Depression, though it lingered, violently, in the
Southeast – principally Georgia, Alabama and Florida – as an enemy of blacks and labor unions. In
1939, James Colescott became Imperial Wizard. An attempted merger with the German–American
Bund proved to be a poor public–relations choice. With World War II, gas rationing, and a large bill
for back taxes, Colescott formally closed down the Klan.
Revived in the Southeast after the war by Atlanta obstetrician Samuel Green, the Klan was strictly
working–class and anti–black. Green died of a heart attack in 1949, and the Klan fragmented. It was
dangerous, but not going anywhere. Dynamite was its prime weapon.
The Supreme Court's 1954 ruling that public school segregation was unconstitutional gave the Klan
a tremendous boost. When the Civil Rights Movement flowered in the Deep South in the 1960s, the
Klan was there to meet it. Its members enjoyed what initially amounted to general immunity from
arrest, prosecution and conviction. Many police officers were members.
But the Klan's violence in Alabama and Mississippi, covered prominently by newspapers and
television, produced a backlash of its own in the form of a heightened determination and activism
among the young, and

Factors That Facilitate The Identification And Recruitment...

of vulnerable people into terrorist activities and organizations. On completion of the reasons of how
and why individuals join terrorist organizations, will then provide examples of programs of

America was under a terrorist attack.
The attackers were Islamic terrorists from Saudi Arabia and several other Arab nations. Osama bin
Laden's al–Qaeda terrorist organization were allegedly acting the U.S. in retaliation for their support
of Israel, their involvement in the Persian Gulf War and their military presence in the Middle East.
Some of the terrorists lived in the United States for more than a year and had taken flying lessons at
American flight schools. The others had snuck into the country in the months before September 11th
and were considered the "muscle" in the operation. They smuggled box–cutters and knives through
the loose security at three East Coast airports and boarded four different airliners bound for
California, they chose these flights because they were filled with jet fuel for the long flight across
the country. After takeoff, they raided the cockpit of the planes and took control, doing this turned
the normal passenger jets into huge missiles.
As millions of Americans watched the events in New York, another plane circled over downtown
Washington, D.C. and flew into the west side of the Pentagon, which is the military headquarters, at
9:45 a.m. Jet fuel from the plane caused a terrible fire that led to a structural collapse in a portion of
the Pentagon. In all 125 military personnel and civilians were killed in the Pentagon, along with all
64 passengers on the airliner.

present day. This is one of the most active and dangerous terrorist groups out there today. Al Qaeda
is worldwide but they are mainly located in the Middle East.
Al Qaeda is worldwide, but they now have control in Somalia, Syria, and Yemen. In the Af–Pak
region there are 300–3,000 members in the organization. In the Maghreb there are about 800–1,000
members, West Africa has 100 members, Arabian Peninsula has 1,000–3,000, and Somalia has
10,000 members. All together Al Qaeda has about 19,115–27,315 members in their organization.

United States Intervention Against The Terrorist...
There are a wide variety of arguments regarding the current conflicts in the Middle East, but one of
the most heated debates is whether or not the United States should interfere. Two people with
opposite opinions on the matter are H. A. Goodman and David E. Johnson. Both are professional
authors, and both wrote articles on the subject of United States intervention against the terrorist
organization ISIS. While Goodman's article has a wider audience, Johnson's article is probably more
persuasive and credible.
The purpose of Johnson's article is to convince readers that the U.S. should send ground forces to
fight ISIS. At the beginning, Johnson includes an abstract summary of his own article. It clearly
states that the article argues to "make apparent the need to commit US ground combat forces" in the
war against the Islamic State. Throughout the article, Johnson consistently gives reasons why the
U.S. should send ground troops to destroy ISIS. At the end of the article, Johnson states, "...strategic
success demands the commitment of US ground forces." He also states, "...undertaking a clear and
comprehensive assessment of the means necessary for strategic success will make apparent the need
to commit US ground combat forces." These quotes show that he is unmistakably talking about the
need for U.S. ground forces in the ISIS conflict.
On the contrary, Goodman's article strives to convince readers that America shouldn't be involved in
the fight against ISIS, especially when it

completion of the reasons of how and why individuals join terrorist organizations, I will provide
examples of programs of disengagement that are used for de–radicalizing imprisoned or individuals
wanting to leave terrorist organizations. Nevertheless, the discussion will then turn to possible
deterrents or methods to counter terrorist recruitment efforts. To understand what a vulnerable
person is and why they are subject to recruitment by terrorist organizations, one can look at
Homegrown Terrorist, Rebels in Search of a Cause by Peter Olsson. In Olsson's article, he describes
an In–betweener being someone that is lonely or in a transitional phase in their life, examples of
transitional phases are; divorced, living in a new location, losing a job or unemployed (Olsson,
2013). People in these situations become easily influenced or are susceptible to peer pressure as in
recruiting individuals, at this point certain people are lacking in a support of family or friends or are
unhappy with their life and have a sense of emptiness or a life without purpose. One can also refer

Why Do Terrorist Organizations Use Social Media?
Every day, terrorist organizations use social media sites such as Twitter, Facebook, and YouTube to
spread their messages, recruit new members, and threaten government officials. This has been a
growing issue over the last few years and it needs to be stopped.
Today, about 90% of organized terrorism on the internet takes place on social media sites. These
organizations use social media so much because it is cheap, accessible, and gets messages out
quickly to an audience that they can manipulate and cause havoc/chaos among. ISIS has used social
media to their advantage by both posting threatening videos of beheadings where anyone can see
them and sending them to government officials as threats. In December 2010, by popular demand
that the company

  • 2. Essay on Al-Shabaab: African Terrorist Organization The Al–Shabaab is regarded as one of the most dangerous African terrorist organizations. Al– Shabaab is a multiethnic militant group out of Somalia that uses many terrorist tactics in attempts to gain control over the country of Somalia. They use many forms of terrorism that include ideological revolutionary, dissident, and nationalist terrorism, as they have the motive to gain power over a territory by overthrowing the government. The Al–Shabaab is suspected to have taken part in many terrorist attacks, including the 1998 United States embassies bombings. The motive behind their violence is their goal of creating an Islamic state in Somalia, which they believe is morally justified by the ideological beliefs. An important psychological ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... If Al–Shabaab notices an individual that they think will benefit them and help their cause, they will threaten the individual into joining the organization (NCTC, 2013). This is an example of the Al– Shabaab using the rational selection method to select specific members. However, lower ranking members and solders of Al–Shabaab are more concerned about nationalist matters in hopes of gaining control of their territory, compared to its leaders, which are focused on the global jihad. It is reported that the lower ranking members of Al–Shabaab will sometimes shift alliances and turn on Al–Shabaab. This is an example of intergroup conflict within Al–Shabaab. If the members of the organization do switch sides, Al–Shabaab is powerful enough to manipulate that clan network and absorbing them. This makes Al–Shabaab more powerful and gains a significantly more amount of members at the cost of one. Al–Shabaab keeps their head internal leader unclear, although it's leadership as a whole eventually falls upon Ayman al–Zawahiri, al–Qaeda's leader. Though it seems that Al–Shabaab tends to no comply with Ayman al–Zawahiri at all times. In 2010, Ayman al– Zawahiri replaced Al–Shabaab's Emir, title of a Muslim ruler, Moktar Ali Zubeyr "Godane", who is regarded as Al–Shabaab's Emir, with Ibrahim Haji Jama. However, Godane refused this notion and continued on to be the organizations ruler. Al–Shabaab, the cells of al–Qaeda, recently have begun to leave major cities in Somalia, in route ... • 4. Overview of Terrorist Organizations: Al-Qaeda and Aum... Codex: Two Terrorist Organizations Al–Qaeda and Aum Shinrikyo Al Qaeda: Origins People too commonly forget that the story of Al–Qaeda is very much the story of Osama Bin Laden: so much of the development and evolution of Al–Qaeda truly is dependent on this one man. Thus, this means that their narratives are forever intertwined. "The primary founder of Al Qaeda, Osama bin Laden, was born in July 1957, the seventeenth of twenty sons of a Saudi construction magnate of Yemeni origin. Many Saudis are conservative Sunni Muslims, and bin Laden appears to have adopted militant Islamist views while studying at King Abdul Aziz University in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia" (Katzman, 2005). The beginnings of Al–Qaeda were small, but decisive. Bin Laden arrived in Afghanistan not long after the Soviets started to invade Afghanistan in 1979, using some of his own money to make a name for himself as the primary fiscal supporter of the Afghan mujahedin and the main recruiter of Arab and other willing participants/ soldiers for the war at the time (Katzman, 2005). Bin Laden aligned with Azzam in 1984 and structured a level of assistance by creating an intensive organization network of offices in the Arab region, parts of Europe and in America; this network was referred to as the Maktab al Khidamat (Services Office) (Katzman, 2005). Scholars and professionals largely view the Maktab as the organization lead of Al Qaeda; this time also marked a period when Bin Laden fought in the war, sustaining ... • 5. ETA is a Terrorist Organization with Roots in Ethnic... ETA Discursive Essay: From 1959 until 2010, Euskadi Ta Aaskatasuna or ETA has been fighting for autonomy in the Basque region on the border between Spain and France. ETA hopes to achieve political and cultural independence. However, it utilizes terror and violent intimidation to undermine existing governments. It is a terrorist organization that with military–style precision inflicts maximum damage in an attempt to realize its nationalist ideals. Cease–fires and negotiations are voided. ETA argues that in striving for nationalist autonomy it is simply an organization of "freedom fighters" struggling to resist what they perceive to be an illegitimate government. ETA is a terrorist organization that has its roots in ethnic nationalism. Basque separatists have long desired independence, based on a culture that is dramatically different from that of the Spanish. Their language (Euskara) predates French, Spanish, German and most other Continental languages, and their customs and traditions are unique to the area. Nationalism is a prevalent theme and dates back to the turn of the nineteenth century when the Republican government granted autonomy to the Basque country under the leadership of Sabina de Arana y Goiri. During the Spanish Civil War (1936–1939) the Basque people supported the Republicans. As a result, Franco targeted them, decimating the Basque town of Guernica, killing over a thousand people. • 6. An International Terrorist Organization ( Al Qaeda Investigate an international terrorist organization (al–Qaeda) Al–Qaeda is an international terrorist organization that was founded in the late 1980's by Osama bin Ladin and Abdullah Azzam. The organization is still currently active today, even though it has become largely decentralized with the deaths of many of its leaders following their attack on the twin towers in New York City, on September 11th, 2001. Al–Qaeda was founded towards the end of the Soviet Union's attempted expansion into Afghanistan. The group was initially a secret society did not even say their name, because a Dr. Hunter told us in class if an organization becomes well known government will seek them out an destroy them before they have a chance to do something. Before the events of September 11th, 2001 Al–Qaeda had launched smaller, of which some were successful, terrorist attacks against the United States. Their first attempt to attack was a failure as the soldiers that were the target stayed at another hotel. They set of a bomb at the Movenpick Hotel in Yemen, but succeeded in only killing civilians. Al–Qaeda did consider this attack successful internally, even though the outside world did not. Al–Qaeda did attempt to assassinate United States president Bill Clinton while he was in Manila in 1996. The plan was discovered and a bomb was found under a bridge that Clinton's motorcade was supposed to go over. In 1998 al–Qaeda launched simultaneous attacks on two United States embassies in east Africa. ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

Here in the United States the FBI is still tracking 3 of the main organizers of the Abu Sayyaf organization and the organization has made comments that have stated they want to fight the United States and it is strongly believed that given the opportunity although they are a small organization they will in fact take a huge leap at harming American citizens by means of bombing, extortion, assassinations, beheadings and what they are notorious for the most is kidnappings. He is also known as the bomb maker for the ASG organization. These are the top three individuals in the Abu Sayyaf organization. In order to understand the Abu Sayyaf organization its best to know where it originated from then you'll see a bit as to how lethal they are and how deadly they can be to the United States. In the early 1990s the ASG split from the Moro National Liberation Front (M.N.L.F.). They were the two main Muslim groups operating in the southern Philippines. Abu Sayyaf's first major attack happened in 1991, when the Abu Sayyaf group set off a grenade that killed two American evangelists. The ASG was founded by Abdurajak Abubakar Janjalani, he was educated by the Al Islamic Tabligh, a fundamentalist organization funded by Pakistan and Saudi Arabia. Janjalani became radicalized after studying and traveling to many Muslim countries he was then suspected to have met Osama Bin Laden in 1988 and given $6 million dollars to develop and transform the southern Philippines into an Islamic state. The word Abu meaning father and Sayyaf means Sword Smith, or more easily translated into "bearer of the sword" in Arabic. The ASG is one the most violent organizations. Now that we know how the ASG has formed it's even more important to know who its leaders are, and what they are capable of. Knowing who you are fighting is half the battle when it comes to being able to predict what may happen next. From the beginning we had ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 8. The Terrorist Organizations The vast array of terrorist organizations that exist around the world have varying ideologies, financial assets, command structures and power. Most of the world is aware of very few of these groups and are often only able to identify organizations that have committed very destructive and deadly attacks on citizens of western nations. Nearly everyone knows about Al Qaeda, the Taliban and Hezbollah because their intentions are well publicized and they have successfully struck fear into many groups. While these organizations are important to examine when studying terrorism, it is more important that we look at all the groups that data have been collected for to find out how terrorist groups work, their power and what factors are key to their continuing existence. The definition of terrorism for this study will remain very broad as the data was pulled together from several different sources to create one large data set.* To account for this, the definition used will be "Terrorism is violence, or the threat of violence, calculated to create an atmosphere of fear and alarm. These acts are designed to coerce others into actions they would not otherwise undertake, or refrain from actions they desired to take." This may need to be relaxed slightly as it was the definition used for the original dataset and this paper uses data from the newest set that is yet to be published. The strength of organizations is a topic that is highly contested and discussed among scholars because ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

It grew out of the EKIN in Spain in 1959 and formed as a radical Basque separatist group. Discontented with the moderate nationalism of the main Basque party, the ETA is dedicated to a separate nation–state for the Basque people, an ethnic group inhabiting areas of northern Spain and southwestern France. Currently there are about 300 members . Current leaders include Juan Cruz Maiztegui Bengoa and José Luis Eciolaza Galán, however very little is known about the ETA power hierarchy. The group has attempted several cease–fires, including a 14–month one that lasted until December 1999. While there have been a number of ETA attacks since 2000, the group has claimed fewer victims. The strings of bombings in September 2004, December 2005, and early 2006 were generally preceded by warnings and did not result in any deaths. Also the Spanish government has been cracking down, and there are more than one hundred suspected ETA members in Spanish prisons today . In March 2006, ETA declared a permanent cease–fire, but broke this deal in December with the placement of a car bomb. Since then they have appeared relatively weak, especially with the arrest of Jurdan Martitegi, the fourth consecutive ETA military chief to be arrested by the police . However, violence resurged in the summer of 2009, leading to the death of three individuals and injuring dozens more. The ETA may simply be biding its time before commencing another string of attacks. FARC FARC stands for Fuerzas Armadas Revolucionarias de Colombia, or Revolutionary Armed Forces of Colombia. • 10. Essay about How Terrorist Organization Exploit Media Coverage Terrorist organizations use a variety of ways to promote their propaganda and strike fear into the society. Among one of the most effective avenues that terrorist organizations use to promote their cause and strike terror across the globe is use of media. Immediately, one would ask, "wouldn't success for terrorist organizations be based on the amount of casualties that their mission generated as opposed to media coverage? • 11. Terrorism : A Modern Terrorist Organization Terrorism is a tactic that has been used for centuries, it is one of the most important and dangerous problems facing mankind today. Terrorism is the calculated use of violence, or the threat of violence, to intimidate, frighten, or coerce. Their motive was an uncompromising belief that they could not remain faithful to the dictates of Judaism while living as Roman subjects. Eventually, the Zealot revolt became open, and they committed mass suicides. From the time of the Assassins (late 13th century) to the 1700s, terror and barbarism were widely used in warfare and conflict. In addition to the acts of violence described above, there are also numerous other types of violence that can exist under the framework of terrorism. Terrorism can be executed or presented in a variety of forms. The President stated "Our war on terror begins with al Qaeda, but it does not end there. It will not end until every terrorist group of global reach has been found, stopped and defeated". Most people would agree that this speech is the moment when the United States officially declared war on terrorism and it should very clear to any prudent person that the United States has yet to succeed in ridding the world of international terrorist organizations. • 17. The Relationship Between Terrorist Organizations And Drug... Summary The relationship between terrorist organizations and drug cartels creates a unique challenge for financial institutions and government entities. The two criminal organizations work together to capitalize on their specific skills or assets (Noriega, 2015). In addition, the globalization of business trade, communications, and logistics has aided in their expanded growth and sophistication (Noriega, 2015). This creates a large and complex web of relationships, criminal activity, and financial transactions that are difficult to detect, deter and prosecute. As documented in the National Terrorist Financing Risk Assessment of 2015, the "ongoing links between drug trafficking networks and terrorist organizations, and their facilitators continue to present a residual terrorist funding risk to the United States through "narco–terrorism" (Department of the Treasury, 2015). This flow of illegal activity has filtered into the United States and Canada through their semi–porous borders (Ellis, 2012). Originally developed in the 1970's, money laundering is a technique used to disguise the proceeds of crime, and reintegrate them into apparently legitimate assets (Levi and Reuter 2006). Money laundering is commonly used by drug dealers, terrorists and other corrupt organizations (Seymour 2008). Drug trafficking, smuggling and embezzlement are examples of criminal activities that generate large amounts of illicit funds for criminal groups; the desire to legitimize these funds and minimize detection stimulate the demand for money laundering schemes (Buchanan 2004). Organizations try to make the money appear legal and legitimate in order to minimize the possibility of being apprehended by authorities. Money laundering takes away the integrity of licensed financial systems and associations and ultimately provides organized crime the money it requires to perform additional criminal activities (Seymour 2008). There are 3 phases of money laundering; Placement, Layering and Integration. Placement is fulfilled by transforming the sum of cash obtained from criminal activities into a more movable and less dubious form. After this, inserting these earnings into the mainstream economic system makes the money appear legitimate. The purpose of this is to withdraw the illegal profits and isolate it from their illegal origins. • 36. United States Intervention Against The Terrorist... There are a wide variety of arguments regarding the current conflicts in the Middle East, but one of the most heated debates is whether or not the United States should interfere. Two people with opposite opinions on the matter are H. A. Goodman and David E. Johnson. Both are professional authors, and both wrote articles on the subject of United States intervention against the terrorist organization ISIS. While Goodman's article has a wider audience, Johnson's article is probably more persuasive and credible. The purpose of Johnson's article is to convince readers that the U.S. should send ground forces to fight ISIS. At the beginning, Johnson includes an abstract summary of his own article. It clearly states that the article argues to "make apparent the need to commit US ground combat forces" in the war against the Islamic State. Throughout the article, Johnson consistently gives reasons why the U.S. should send ground troops to destroy ISIS. At the end of the article, Johnson states, "...strategic success demands the commitment of US ground forces." He also states, "...undertaking a clear and comprehensive assessment of the means necessary for strategic success will make apparent the need to commit US ground combat forces." These quotes show that he is unmistakably talking about the need for U.S. ground forces in the ISIS conflict. On the contrary, Goodman's article strives to convince readers that America shouldn't be involved in the fight against ISIS, especially when it ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

Every day, terrorist organizations use social media sites such as Twitter, Facebook, and YouTube to spread their messages, recruit new members, and threaten government officials. This has been a growing issue over the last few years and it needs to be stopped. Today, about 90% of organized terrorism on the internet takes place on social media sites. These organizations use social media so much because it is cheap, accessible, and gets messages out quickly to an audience that they can manipulate and cause havoc/chaos among.
