Matthew Bourne's Swan Lake was first performed at the Sadler Wells Theatre in London in 1995.
Bourne's version of Swan Lake is the longest running ballet in London's West End and on
Broadway. It has been performed in a number different countries such as United Kingdom, Europe,
Australia, South Korea, Japan, Israel and Singapore. Mathew Bourne's rendering is best known for
having traditionally female parts of the swans danced by men. Graeme Murphy version of Swan
Lake is not so much a battle between Odette (Good) and Odile (evil), which is presented through the
original Swan Lake. But it examines love and betrayal, and other elements of the original story.
Through comparing and contrasting Acts 2 and Act 4 of Graeme Murphy's rendering of Swan Lake
and Mathew Bourne's Act 2 and Act 4, this essay will interpret and evaluate how each

The Great Lakes and the forests in Canada are both in severe states. Deforestation and pollution
have caused short and long term effects that not only impact human health, but ecosystems as well.

insincere and repulsive. Also it is based off of Bruce Springsteen's song "Spirit in the Night." The

I grew up in Ohio. For years, every summer we'd go to a family friends house to use their lake
house. Looking back, it doesn't seem like a lot, but I remember spending countless hours snorkeling,
swimming, and paddle boarding. When I was 14, I refused to go again. I hated that house, I hated
the lake. I've been having nightmares about the lake ever since. No matter how many times people
ask what's wrong with me, I never give an explanation. I prefer not to talk about it, whenever I do, I
feel like I'm back at the lake. I feel like I can start to smell the lake. This lake– my lake– slowly

only noticed it was getting worse because I was there almost every day from morning to night. The
property the lake house was on was nice. It had open huge wooded areas and open fields full of

wasn't very populated. You had to drive at least 40 minutes before you reached any kind of

I am writing to you today to talk about the state of Utah Lake and how to clean it up. Utah Lake is
the only lake that is easy to access without going on an hour or longer car trip from Utah Valley.
Because of that we should try and make Utah Lake more tourist friendly and better looking. This

Lake isn't a very attractive destination. Utah Lake got 134,000 visits in 2017 which is pretty high

They no longer are because of the industries that were built. Hundreds of thousands of people can
around the world to visit Onondaga Lake for vacation. In Document 6 the swimming in the lake was
banned. That bank took place in 1943 after an accident caused more concern when a Solvay waste
bed dike failed. The factories were not stopped from dumping tons of pollutants into Onondaga
Lake because there were no laws against it. From Document 8: as the population of the area
increased, so did the stress on the lake. The By 1950 approximately 140 industries use Onondaga
Lake for waste

The Low Water Levels in Lake Bridgeport
Lake Bridgeport was built in 1930 for flood control, water storage and recreation. Tarrant County
owns the land and water that makes the lake. There is a spillway that takes water through the Trinity
River to Eagle Mountain Lake and Lake Worth. This year has been a rough year for Lake Bridgeport
with three digit temperatures and draining water to the other lakes. Since one of the purposes to
build Lake Bridgeport was for storage, The Tarrant County water district approved to let out 20,000
acre feet of water from Lake Bridgeport to prevent the other lakes to be low. "But 2013 is anything
but a normal year. Today, what once was a scenic lake is covered in chest–high weeds. " Boaters and
fisherman enjoy going to Lake Bridgeport during the summer. But in the summer of 2013 the boat
ramps were unusable so the number of residents going to the lake dropped. There are dead fish
floating to the shoreline as well as many other wildlife animals. The lake tested positive for Zebra
Mussel larva, which is shell like creatures that are very sharp and stick to boats, anchors and docks.
The Mussels are very dangerous for the lake environment, but they also eat bacteria so they could
help the lake water clear up. If no water is drained out of Lake Bridgeport then the residents of
Eagle Mountain Lake and Lake Worth could possibly run out of drinking water.
Problem: The Lake is the place to be on a hot summer day, but how is it supposed to be any fun
when the lake is drying up each day.

Magical Lake
In the cold, dark and mysterious forest is where she lived. Vanessa is teenager whose summer is
almost ending. She is an only child and her father is always somewhere out of the Country for work
purposes.
"Mom, when is dad coming home from France it has felt like forever." Her mother is a stay home
mom who loves baking when Vanessa is at school or work. "He should be coming home in about a
week or two."
She was a girl who liked adventure and exploring but she never got to go past the fence in her
backyard which is mostly a forest. Today was a great day for exploring. She decided that it had been
a long time since she has gone into the forest. But when she headed out she forgot to get her
adventure bag. She got the adventure bag from her dad on her tenth birthday. It contains a flashlight,
water bottle, compass, a blanket, and two granola bars if she get lost or hungry and thirsty. She
decided to go on without it because her mother might ask questions and tell her to stay inside
because it's cold and almost time for dinner. When she reached the fence she found a narrow path
which was hidden behind these two redwood trees. She took the path hoping to find something neat
or interesting and indeed she did. In the distance she saw a misty small lake. When she finally
reached the lake she noticed that it was clean and very clearer than the river by her house. On the
side of the lake she found a small beach where the sand's texture was so smooth it felt good
