Digital Imaging narrative using Photoshop.

For the assignment “digital imaging” I used photoshop to turn a picture into my own so I
could use it towards my unit plan. I began with a picture I found on google of a neat font spelling
out “Simple Machines” and from their added an individual picture of each simple machine into
one picture. I cropped each photo of a simple machine and placed them around the font along
with a text to show the name of each simple machine. I also created my own background, the
original background was not clear so I simple made a solid white background. The reason I
chose my background to be simple and white was so that it did not interfere with the purpose of
the picture I was creating. I already had a lot of colors in the font and pictures so adding a
colored background or design would take away from the main purpose which was to show
children six simple machines. The assignment was challenging at first because I was unfamiliar
with Photoshop but once I adjusted I was completely fine and finished my image sooner than
predicted. I used simple tools on Photoshop but feel that I could figure out more if need be.
