2. SOFTWARE'S USED
In the process of making my goldmine
magazine I have used a lot of
different software’s like quark and
Photoshop. At the start of the year I
had no idea how to use these
different software’s but now I am
more confident on how things work. I
used quark to produce my double
page spread and I added the text that
I had got from my interview with Joe
firth. I used Photoshop for all he
general design work to make my
magazine. I also used Photoshop to
create my college magazine at the
start of the year when I only had basic
skills of Photoshop.

that you have taken.

3. WEBSITES
To produce my magazine I have used different website for
different elements of my magazine. I used a website
called dafont to get all the fonts I wanted to go in my
magazine so I could find a font that best suited my
magazine
I also used blogger to keep up to date with all my work and I
blogged my production of my magazine and all the
research that went into making my magazine. I learnt how
to use blogger more and more every time I went on it at
the start of the year I didn’t even know what it was and
now I can blog my work and add things like documents
and pictures to my blog.
I have also learned how to use slide share which Is a website
that allows you to publish PowerPoints online. I used this
to blog PowerPoints. At first I needed help and had no idea
how to use it but now I can but PowerPoints online and
embed them into my blog.

my main goldmine title and for the
main writing that says “the haze”

4. HARDWARE
To product my magazine I have used a range of different devises to create my final product.
I have mainly used a pc to create my magazine to use things like Photoshop and to go
onto blogger. My knowledge of how to use a pc was okay and I knew what to do but I
have still learned a lot while making my magazine like all the different software's and
how to install fonts on to my computer.
I have used a DSlR- cannon D800 camera to shoot for my magazine so I would have high
quality pictures to go into my magazine. I used this camera because they are a lot
better quality than the camera on my iPhone and they make the magazine look more
professional. I had no idea how to use one of these cameras but i know how to use
basic things on there like taking pictures and recording videos.
I also used my iPhone to record my interviews for my blog I already knew how to do this and
I used my phone because I could upload it quickly to blogger and it was easier to do my
interviews with my iPhone.
