1. 1-2 minute conversation film task – evaluation
My film went well as we wereable to keep to the 180 degree rule, use match
on action and shotreverseshot.
We were also able to get the room we had pictured the location of our film
being in. The idea for the film worked wellas in was able to film it easily as it
wasn’ttoo ambitious. Another thing that went well with my film was that I was
able to find using to suit the mood of the film to add to the tense effect.
When reflecting on the film the editing
process didn’tgo as well becausemy film was
justunder a minute so I could have used more
shots to increase the length. My editing also
could have been better as I could have slowed
down the shots of Mia walking down the
corridor to give the effect that the walk is
going on forever and to build tension. I also in
there is a lot of background noisein my shot,
although in the music covers it up in places I
would have liked for there to be less noise.
If I could go back and start over I could change
the lighting in my shots as it is very brightand
it doesn’treally fit the atmosphereof the
conversation as the convocation is secretive
however the lighting doesn’treally reflect this.
2. For next time I havelearnt to film every shotmore than once as when you
come to edit the shotmight not be quite right also film multiple ways of things
happening, for example I only had one shotof Mia running out of the room
however when I was editing it fitted better for her to walk out of the room but
I didn’t havethe shot. Also next time I need to make sureI take my scriptor
storyboard with me when I film so I can refer back to it to which shots I haveto
film that to tick off the shots as I film them to be more efficient also to use the
dialogue so I know whatto tell the actors to say.
