2. International Publishing Company (ipc) produce the music magazines NME and
Guitar and Bass. Both these magazine are similar in genre and they both have
different frequency of publication compared to mine which means that the media
institution would have it whole focus on my magazine when it came to publishing
and distributing it. IPC is also one of the UK’s leading magazine and digital media
publishers and sell over 350 millions copies each year. When researching the
different types of publishing companies i came to the conclusion that ipc would be
the most suitable for my magazine. The shops in which ipc will distribute my
magazine for supermarkets for example asda, morrisons and sainsbury's and it will
also be sold at indie gigs in over 100 venues across the UK. Also the magazine will
be available and various news agent chains including NEWS, SPAR and W H
Smiths. I envision for the future if this magazine sells well that there will eventually
be a online version and also subscriptions will be available on website.
