Motivation Statement For Estee Lauder
INTRODUCTION
The MEB provides a great foundation before you enter the world of business. As an intern, the skills
and knowledge gained over the past few months have been documented in this report providing an
insightful view into the journey. This summer, as a part of the end of studies internship I worked as
a Real Estate Intern (EMEA) at Estee Lauder companies in Paris. It exposed me to the fast–paced
world of the beauty industry. In 3 supercharged months, I garnered extensive experience in the
intricacies of managing a real estate portfolio of ELC brands (25+ Brands), from the retail strategy
execution, negotiating with landlords and optimizing the portfolio and approving the shop openings
at an EMEA level to drive visibility.

Principally sold through limited sales channels to complement the brand positioning. Like
departmental stores, specialty multi–brand retailers, upscale perfumeries, pharmacies, and prestige
salon/spas. In addition, Estee lauder products are also sold in in their own authorized free–standing
stores, in airports–duty–free and through the online websites. The online and offline experience is
seamless, strengthening the relationship of the brand with retailers and consumers. The distribution
strategy, heightens the aspirational quality of their brands.
Estee Lauder have tactically opened new stores globally that are operated by either them or by
authorized third parties(Franchise). About 1200 stores, and more than 500 stores are operated
around the world by partners (third parties). This allows for lesser risk when entering a foreign
country. The number of stores will increase in the next few years significantly. Products are sold
through company owned and operated e–commerce sites in 35 countries. Majority of the sales come
from the United States and United Kingdom, with EMEA not too far behind.

Background Of Hair And Makeup
According to The Motion Picture Association of America there are nearly 1140 films released each
year. This means that approximately 68,400 different shots are taken in films annually. For every
shot or scene in a movie, the hair and makeup artist has to complete each characters look. Hair and
makeup artistry involves the application of makeup to the skin and the creativity to create unique
hairstyles and looks. Anyone considering becoming a hair and makeup artist should consider the
preparation requirements, responsibilities, and benefits this career entails. To become a hair and
makeup artist one must possess many skills. Hair and makeup artists need to be proficient at
speaking to share information, and listening to receive the necessary instructions. People who are
pursuing hair and makeup artistry should also have good coordination and good social perception so
that they can pick up on others feelings or emotions. Time management, active learning, and good
judgement are all respectable skills someone in this field should have. A hair and makeup artist
should be very artistic, creative, social, and persistent (Summary Report). As well as having good
speaking, listening, and social skills, a hair and makeup artist should have the proper education. A

one has to complete (Make–up and Hair). Cosmetology courses are offered in many public high

The Career Of A Makeup Artist
Starting at the age of 11, there was a blooming girl who began to get genuinely interested in
makeup. Her dad though, was not too keen for makeup, so she snuck it on whenever she got to
school and made sure she took it off either while she and her brothers walked home or before her
dad came to pick her up. This blooming girl was only in the 6th grade, which is kind of reasonable
now that she thinks back on it, although when she was 11 she thought it was the most unfair thing;
why stop her from doing something she likes that expresses herself and who she can be as a person?

Tattoo Artists A tattoo artist, or also known as tattooer, or tattooist makes personal tattoos on
people's skin to permanently stay. As their day starts, they clean and sterilize the equipment to make
sure that no harm or disease can come from the art they give. They usually come in an hour or two
early to organize the needles and tubes to make sure they have everything they are going to need for
the day in the correct spots. Typically, the artist is set up in a building or booth, but can also be set
up wherever they see fit to give tattoos to any customer. Being a tattoo artist could be difficult

I Want To Be A Cosmetic Therapist
People say to do what you love and you'll never work a day in your life. I love makeup and I love

job is to analyze, create, and study chemical compounds to make cosmetics. In order to prepare for
this career, I should go to college, start an entry level job, and work hard. The first step to any career
is an education; I must graduate college. To be a cosmetic chemist, there is a wide range or
applicable majors, but most jobs will require a bachelor's degree in a chemistry related major.
Examples of a chemistry related major include chemistry, chemical engineering, materials science,

The Beauty Of Art : What Is Art?
What is "Art?". That is a question most people will ponder about to answer something along the
lines of, "drawing and paintings"; many will normally associate art with Pablo Picasso, Leonardo
Da Vinci, or Andy Warhol as legendary artists. However, art is not just defined by a masterpiece, it
is defined by beauty, and the particular pleasure that is accompanied by it. Art is something that we
can glimpse at, and know it will please us. Art is what makes beauty manifest. Beauty is admired,
and hence it can be expressed on not just canvases, but even our faces. Makeup lacks
acknowledgement for its form in art, whereas makeup artists use the same procedure as artists to
create such astonishing pieces.
Makeup artist are usually not recognized as serious artists, and some people tend to think they have
an easy job. Whereas, makeup artists have a difficult role to play– understanding the color wheel,
and interpreting what colors compliment hair, eye, and skin colors of different shades. Having a
large assortment of makeup, and makeup brushes doesn't make anyone a makeup artist, it is the
skills, education, and practices that establishes the beauty of art, and grants makeup artists with the
freedom to express themselves. Being a makeup artist is more than just a dress–up little girl game,
being a makeup artist is being able to make art with a face; on a face you have to learn to work with
what is on there, it is like painting on divergent canvas structures. Most people do not show

Pablo Picasso Research Paper
Painting, sculpting, graphite and ink are some ways of art that I love. Pablo Picasso knew how to do
all of that very well and inspired others everywhere. He became my role model; I look up to him
and his work. Picasso wasn't just an artist; he devoted his life into making art for others to enjoy. His
art showed his emotions, thoughts and his life. Art ran down in his family too; he got inspired by his
father. Pablo Picasso inspired many artists, and he inspired me because of his devotion to his
phenomenal art. Picasso was noticed at an early age; he was a student at the Barcelona Academy of
Fine Arts (Rowland et al). At such a young age Picasso had so much talent, "Everything you can
imagine is real" (Feifer et al). His imagination was so important, it made up what his art is. All of
his talent was noticed and then he became big; he kept practicing his love for art and became an

Picasso said, "I paint objects as I think them, not as I see them" (Feifer et al). Picasso clearly had a
good imagination if he could think and paint instead of seeing and painting. It shows how important
his imagination was for his art. "The chief enemy of creativity is good sense" (biography.com).
Having good sense is getting in the way of being creative and expressing yourself, so if Picasso
made sense of everything than it would be boring; he would know all of the facts instead of being
open–minded. Picasso lets go of everything while he painted, he doesn't stress about all of the facts.
"Every act of creation is first of all an act of destruction" (pablopicasso.org). Sometimes in life and
art, you have to go in with the new and go out with the old. Picasso has inspired many with his open
mind and amazing creative mind. "Good artists copy, great artists steal" (Feifer et al). He was not
the first one to try something, but people saw what he did as his style; he started as copying but in
the end he completely stole

This is where a record label comes into play.
For new bands, one of their first major steps into getting into the business is usually finding a record
label. A record label is commonly known by most people as someone who simply signs a band and
sells their music. What most people do not know is that they do much more than that. A label does
do all the things that people believe they do, however, they also do much more to help an artist. A
label is one band's contact to other artists or promotors that will help further their popularity and
reach out to more businesses who could potentially seek endorsement deals to support an artist
while also advertising their own product (Lindvall). However, some bands have had negative
experiences with labels. There are many negative outlooks on record labels recently and their work
with certain artists. The first problem is the royalty fees made with labels. An artist's album can cost
anything from $15,000 to $200,000 (Recording Connection) and the artist is often left in debt after
which is slowly paid back through the sales of their own records which only leaves them a fraction
of what the original product was sold for. Another major problem with most major record labels is
that their sole reason to get artists is to further their own profit. Most major labels put business
before art,

Meet Up Research Paper
Back in June I got a text from Ruby creator of Brown Girl With A Camera, asking if I would help
her plan a meetup in NYC in August. I jumped at the chance because I'm all about helping and
supporting fellow entrepreneurs. I want us all to win! Plus, Brown Girl With A Camera's mission is
awesome read about it here. August is always a busy month for me. Especially this august I had two
weddings and my 4 year wedding anniversary. The only date I had available was August 29th. Ruby
and I agreed on a date. I got off the phone and got right to work. I've hosted art exhibits, women's
empowerment events but never a meet–up. This meet–up was an excellent opportunity not only for
the photographers & models attending to build their portfolios but also an a chance for everyone to
network, build friendships and cultivate a sisterhood. I've said it once before and I will say it again.
Photography is mainly dominated by males. Anytime I can get together with a group female
photographers, share knowledge, experiences with women that are going through the same things
that I am and just vibe it's a good time. My goal was for everyone to leave the meet–up confident,
inspired and hopefully with new skills. YUP.... this meet–up was going to be awesome! Once I had

Wood Flooring : A Natural Creation That Is Recyclable, Eco...
Nothing charms the eye more than the soft, warm luminosity of wooden flooring Eastcote. Any
room in an abode can be enriched by this type of floor, including the kitchenette. Research states
that maximum individuals who are searching for a house add wood floors to their wish list they
have crafted, and resale worth increases when abodes are sold that have some type of wood flooring
installed. Many homeowners have chosen to bed in this kind of floor throughout their abodes since
it adds to the worth of the home and also helps in the resale value should the home be sold sooner or
later. Many individuals ask their real estate agent to search for homes that have hardwood floors
when they are house shopping.
Installing these kinds of floors is also good for the environment. Wood is a natural creation that is
recyclable, eco–friendly and renewable resource and is one way for anybody to have a positive
impact on the environment. Using reclaimed wood from older cradles is another flooring alternative.
Then there is engineered wooden flooring, which is a webbing of products overlapped with a digital
image of actual wood. Maximum low–priced wooden flooring is engineered, but that doesn 't make
it any less hard–wearing or eye–catching. The wooden floor you select to install is going to be as
gorgeous years from now as it is when it is first laid in your home. This is the one thing that
individuals who have had wood floors for years can state confidently. This flooring still looks new

For all these amazingly talented artists, there have to be people who make sure these people are set
and they also makes sure the company is getting paid. There are different departments and jobs for
the many employees in a record label, and I shall explain how the structure and success of the
organization is determined by this.
Much like other labels, RCA has the legal affairs department, the business affairs department, A&R,
art, promotion, media, publicity, marketing and artist development departments all playing key roles
in the label's success. Specific people are picked and assigned to work in their respective department
to be better relate and benefit to not only the artists but their consumers, listeners and business
partners. One would place a lawyer in the A&R (Artists & Repertoire) department. Nor would they
send a person who is great at fashion and creating image to handle the label's finances. It just would
not make sense, and it would not help neither the company or the artists. To break down the
importances of these departments even more, the are even teams within each department to handle
certain aspects as well.
For instance, the artist development department is structured to build the artists up in regards to their
clothing, their social networking, their fan base, and how they are marketed. This job is important
because one an artist is signed, someone has

Artists Playing Their Music In Advertising
The use of an artist's music in advertising is a key part in advertising that could make a person
looking at the advertisement really want what is being advertised. Artists and advertisement
companies benefit from this so why shouldn't consumers get to listen to their favorite artist in a
advertisement that advances the advertisers and artists pay checks. Listening to your favorite artist
talk about a product while their music is playing in the back ground could make an Eskimo want to
buy ice. The benefits of both the advertisers, the artists and possibly consumers outweighs the slight
possibility that people will grow to not like the song anymore from it being over played.
Artists playing their music in commercials is such a good idea because a consumer will hear that
song and immediately start to think of that product differently. It's as if the consumer thinks that if
that artists likes the product or service so much it must be good. The artists now have the ability to
bring in more money because more people will hear their song more often on television as well as
the radio and other forms of advertisement. Artists are given an opportunity ... Show more content

Special Effects Makeup Artists
Many of the aspiring special effects make–up artists begin their careers by seeking low–paying jobs
as an intern or assistant to train with a more experienced artist. Whether they pursue training they
must still have a keen eye when it comes to the usage of colors. The most important tool for a
special effects make–up artist to have is their personality. This is of up most importance due to the
ability to network and maintain positive work relations with other professionals in this field and it is
the difference between success and failure. Special effects makeup artist help to create a seamless
connection between the live actors/actresses and the fantasy around them. Their job is to not only
make an actor/actress look more beautiful, but in most cases it is used to make them appear scary
and beat–up looking or even inhuman. Artists in this position must answer to both the costume
designer and special effects department. The main difference between a makeup artist and a special
effects makeup artist is that special effects are used to bring to life the three dimensional vision of
the director and production team. Methods such as sculpting, painting, and drawing are used to help
communicate ideas. Prospective employers look for skill, detail oriented, realistic, and of the highest
quality. The field allows you to be creative, ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...

While preparing for this essay I realized that a majority of the career paths I want to go down
involved a similar theme, fashion, and creativity. After further assessment of my chosen paths, I feel
like my personality and the way that I work would be better suited for a business of my own, rather
than working through a company like Sephora or Avon. I know I'd be more comfortable working in
a place where I can choose which brands and techniques I use on clients, rather than a job where I'm
forced to use certain items that I don't completely trust. Using tools I'm comfortable with and using
my own creative energy, aside from someone else 's, would make me feel happier with my work.
Although I'll have to work with clients in the future, I know that having that baseline will make my

Mac Vs. Makeup Art Cosmetics
MAC or Makeup Art Cosmetics is one brand known around the world. MAC cosmetics target
consumers from young to older women who love its high contrasts, and vibrant colors. A brand is
only accomplished if the "specific cosmetic is dependent upon the consumer's perception that the
cosmetic will make him/her more attractive." (Hunt, Fate, Dodds, 2011) Advertising to makeup
artist who worked with celebrities Mac was able to define its label with stars such as Lady Gaga,
Elton John, and Nicki Minaj. MAC was created for fashion models around the world that wanted the
perfect look. Mac has a wide variety of products such as eye shadows, lipsticks, lip–gloss, nail
polish, and mascara. However the brand was positioned for all skin types, ages and races. With
many competing brands like L'Oreal and Maybelline, Mac began to use marketing strategies to set
itself apart from the competition. Branding to charities was the first step, which increased profits,
and also increases MAC overall brand. Target markets are particular business sections that

The Effects Of Special Effect Makeup On Makeup Essay
Have you ever watched a movie and wondered how something was created? A simple scar, a
horrific creature, even a mutilated limb can be created to a mystifying degree of realism. Special
effects makeup has been, and always will be a passion of mine. Over the years, I've found myself to
never really pay attention to a movie that plays, but rather, always be fascinated with the little
details that no one really notices. I've always sat and wondered exactly how certain effects were
created. The curiosity as lead me to attempt to recreate some of the effects that I've seen. Research
has lead me to acquire a vast knowledge of the molding process that makeup artists use to create
prosthetics, I have become familiar with well–known makeup artists, and I have discovered certain
replacements for the time consuming processes that may occur during the creation phase. It's truly
astonishing to see what an artist can create from a piece of clay. The entire process starts with an
idea. Whether it be assigned be a company, or completely freelance work, everything that has been
seen on screen or in an attraction has started as a simple idea or sketch. Once that assignment has
been given, the work can then begin. In most cases, the artist is provided with a life cast of the
model they will be applying prosthetics on to ensure that the pieces fit the model correctly. When
the life cast is available, the artist will being to put layers of clay on it, and begin to shape and sculpt

Full–time versus part–time–– Typically cosmetologists and hairdressers can work a small number of
hours per week or as many hours as they choose. Some hairdressers and cosmetologists work about
40 hours per week. However about one–third of cosmetologists work part–time. A cosmetologist
may have to work on the weekends and during the evenings. Most hairdressers and cosmetologists
work in beauty salons however they also work in hotels department stores cruise ships resorts and
day spas. Many hairdressers and cosmetologists own a salon. The Bureau of Labor Statistics reports
about 48 percent of cosmetology workers are self–employed (Live). People who own their own
salon will typically have longer hours than their employees. Some salons will let cosmetologist rent
a section of the salon for a certain price, so they are their own boss. Most people get into
cosmetology because they like making people feel good about themselves. A student that graduated
from Fullerton College said, "I love when a client looks in a mirror and is brought to tears because
she did not know she could look so beautiful, that's why I do my job, it is extremely gratifying to
realize I am responsible for making someone feel better about themselves after leaving my chair."
Hairdressers and cosmetologists often build a friendship connection with their client, some clients
use appointments to relax and unwind and see their stylist as a friend for an hour.

Cosmetologist Vs Make-Up
There is a difference in cosmetologist and make–up artist, even though they seem the same at first
glance. A cosmetologist is someone who studied hair, manicure/pedicure, beauty/skin treatment, and
other beauty areas; A make–up artist primarily excels in make–up and prosthetic application. The
services that require a make–up artist are primarily theatrical, television/movies, modeling and other
areas. Differences in Techniques The specialty areas of a cosmetologist include hair styling and
shampooing, manicure/pedicure and basic skin care. Hair styling includes sculpting (cutting) and
styling hair, the use of colors, and other chemical treatment, such as perm solutions and bleach.
Manicure pedicures include shaping and painting the nails, along with application of artificial tips
with or without designs. Beauty treatments include basic hair removal using wax, basic massages

I Am A Girl, The World Of Esthetics Intrigued Me
About Me
Every since I was a little girl, the world of esthetics intrigued me. I have always loved the way
people can manipulate their features and transform them, whether that is hair, skin, nails or
cosmetics. As I grew up to began to become more and more attracted to cosmetics. My passion for it
did not begin until high school, where I realized my full potential. Throughout my four years of high
school I was on the dance team, where our makeup had to look uniform. As a freshman, my 15–
year–old friends did not know a thing about makeup and I knew the basics. They would have me do
their makeup and would always tell me that I should be a makeup artist. As the years went by my

My makeup line will be sure not to anything harmful to a consumer's skin, which is why the proper
research is necessary.
Starting a Makeup Line
Research and Design
One of the most important steps in starting a makeup line is finding a research lab to work with,
which is where most of my time will be spent. (Marlena, 2012) In a research lab I will decide what
ingredients that I want in my line. It is very important to find a lab that is credible and trustworthy.
There are many expensive brands in the industry that are in the higher range of prices. I want my
line to be affordable therefore I need a affordable lab that will help me create quality products.
Another important step is finding a factory for packaging and filling. This is where I will be able to
decide how I want my line to look. "Smart packaging helps its targeted consumers feel an emotional
attachment to a brand." (Jarski,2014) choosing the smartest color scheme, shape, and design of my
product can determine how well my product can sell. About one–third of a consumer's decision to
purchase something is its display or packaging. Especially in the beauty market today, I have to
make sure my products appeal to consumers. Cosmetics is all about empowerment therefore I need a
product that is going to appeal to that side of a woman.
According to the graph, many women have an emotional attachment to makeup which makes them
feel in control (Gaillie, 2013) It is important for me to

Personal Narrative: Becoming A Special Effects Make Up Artist
Getting out of mom's Ford Ranger, I close the door a bit too heavy handed. When it slams
forcefully, I cringe as I move toward the house. I am extra tired tonight after pulling double shift at

Analysis Of The Movie ' Tony '
Tony The first time I met Tony we were both makeup artists on the same film. He intrigued me from
the moment I saw him. His eyes were like wolves, dark and ferocious, and yet, their color was the
lightest blue. He had an air of wildness around him, like he belonged to it. Nature and Tony were
one and the same. His face had lines of experience on it, a few creases around the eyes and mouth.
He didn 't have enough to look old, but enough to let anyone who had seen them that he had gripped
life by the throat, but had not walked away unscathed. His hands were covered in fake bloodstains,
and greasepaint. He was a makeup artist, and, as a matter of fact that is how we met. We were both
working on a film about Jason Todd, and Batman, and Tony showed up and we all spent the night in
an underground parking garage, and filmed there until three in the morning. The lines in his hand
were even deeper, from the amount of callouses. His hands were hard and rough like sandpaper. His
hair was in dreadlocks, unwashed and unkempt. the dreads were this light ashy blonde, with the
slightest hint of red. He bounced constantly, like a schoolboy waiting for class to be let out he
seemed to be perpetually squirming . The energy he possessed made the air almost shimmer around
him, like a field of extra energy. He would dance in the hallways and scream down the fields, eating
pollen out of flowers, and constantly doing backflips. He could catch bees with his bare hands, and

Mac, and Urban Decay which can be bought at department retailors like Brown Thomas and

Low Street Competitors: KIKO will also have to compete with lower priced (albeit lower quality)
products sold at Boots and Penny's.
Increase in Labour Costs: The average hourly labour cost in Ireland for 2016 was €30.4, which is
higher than Italy (Statista, 2018). KIKO will need to pay more labour costs to enter the Irish market.
Irish Logistics: Ireland is known for difficult transport and shipping systems, which could impede

KIKO would be a one–stop shop for beauty needs at an affordable price. It can appeal to growing

The career I have chosen is a Special Effects Make–up Artist.

Being An Artist Of The Modern World Essay
It seems that parents are more than ready to see their children grow up to become engineers, medical
professionals, and business owners in a world where science and technology is constantly
advancing. When one thinks of these aforementioned careers they imagine dollar signs, large
houses, fancy cars, and other ridiculous luxuries that come with the title. Artists lie on the other side
of the spectrum. They are people who did not want to study science, technology, or business, and
they did not care whether or not their job will make them financially successful. They wanted to be
a part of something more imaginative, more creative, and, in some ways, more rewarding than an
ordinary office job. Unfortunately, the image that comes to mind for most people when they think of
an artist in the modern world is that of a poor, starving, and uneducated person whose job is
something a three year old child could do. This new reputation that comes with being an artist is
quite different from when those who dedicated their lives to art were revered and admired for their
skills. People who want to go into the arts are constantly discouraged and told to pick a "real job" if
they ever want to be financially stable and successful in the real world. A career in the arts has more
benefits than one can imagine that is not limited to the confines of a paycheck. A professional artist
can inspire others to create, make other people feel good about themselves, and contribute to society

My Goals And I Should Be Brutally Honest
You have asked me to write down my goals and I have decided to be brutally honest. Once I am out
of school, I will never touch human hair with shears every again. I will never roll a perm, or a roller
set. I wont worry about which direction hair goes when you apply a virgin color or retouch. I will
maybe use 10 percent of what I was taught and if things go the way I want not even that much. See I
want to be makeup artist and so far only the teachers in this facility and my mother have told me
that hair comes along with makeup and I would formally like to tell you all it does not. I do not want
to cut hair or shampoo it for the rest of my life that would be JOB and I do not plan on having a JOB
I plan on having a career. Now contrary to belief they are two very different things, as well as,
cosmetology, and makeup artistry. Yes makeup artistry is a type of cosmetic I mean when you walk
into store they have the makeup area labeled cosmetics, but this school barley even dusts the
subject, like its just something we should know when we get out of here and well it doesn't work
that way. I want to learn every technique there is in the book. I want to know how to highlight and
to bake like the worlds greatest makeup artist do. I want to be known around the world for makeup,
not hair. Not for rolling perms or cutting it or styling it. I 'm not saying that there aren't famous men
and women who do that but they aren't the people I look up to. People like Jaclyn Hill and Anastasia

Theatrical Makeup And Artistic Makeup
Theatrical makeup refers to makeup that is used to assist in creating the appearance of the characters
that actors portray during a theater production. Theatrical makeup artists apply makeup to
performers to reflect the period, setting, and situation of the role ("Makeup Artists, Theatrical and
Performance"). These artists have the skills to transform people into a desired character using
makeup, wigs, and other items. Many in the profession work in theater and different types of

Although the theatrical makeup field does not have standard verification, a high school diploma and
cosmetology degree is recommended. Volunteering, or receiving an internship at small organizations
is highly beneficial for an artist, and gives the opportunity to gain experience to build up their
portfolio. Specific job tasks are given to makeup artists. Some of these tasks are: establish budgets,
confer with stage directors and performers in order to get a desired look, apply makeup to enhance,
and/or alter the appearance of people, analyze a script, evaluate environmental characteristics such
as lighting plans and venue sizes, design rubber or plastic prostheses, and much more. These tasks
are essential for a theatrical makeup artist to succeed and complete achievements in their job.

The Foundation of Makeup
Makeup is a positive creation because it is a form of art, it can help a person feel better about
themselves and it helps the person express their personality. The Great Max Factor once said," You
are not born glamorous, glamour is created." Most society thinks makeup is just a way to hide a
person's flaws or a way to have a fake perfection. Makeup is more than that; it is the paint a person
uses to create a masterpiece. Makeup is the way people express art and help them feel better about
and express themselves through the way they look. What paint and paint brushes are to painters, eye
shadow and makeup brushes are to makeup artists. A good makeup artist thinks of their craft with
passion. They can turn a person's face into a work of art. The tools a makeup artist uses are basically
the same as a painter. The two are the same. Precision and skill goes into both trades. If a person
looks at the elements of a great painting and a makeup look that had skill and heart go into it, they
are the same. Depth in the shapes and lines of the painting are just like the depth in the contours
painted onto the face. All in all makeup is more than what people think it to be. Makeup changes the
way a person sees themselves and overall gives them confidence. A study was given to American
female college students to see how they felt about themselves with makeup on compared to when
they were all natural. They found that more felt better about themselves with makeup on. Thomas F.

The Process of Giving a Tattoo
Have you ever wondered how a person gives a tattoo? I have pondered this question for many years,
ever since I got my first tattoo. Even though tattoos are more common than they were years ago,
tattooing is a process that is complicated and a skilled art. The process of giving a tattoo can be very
in depth and difficult to understand. For many years, the process of giving a tattoo was only learned
by proving one's self to a tattoo artist in hopes that they would give you your own tattoo machine
one day. Now that the art of tattooing has become so popular, it is more easily learned. There are
many different steps to follow in giving a tattoo. The first step is talk with the client about what

Once the foot cord and clip have been connected to the power supply, the artist will turn the power
on to the power supply, and test that they have a good connection to the machine. You will hear a
buzzing sound when the machine is turned on. The next step in giving a tattoo is deciding which
needle will be used for what application. There are different sizes of needles: liners, shaders, and
mags. A liner tattoo needle has as few as one needle or as many as 14 needles in one needle
(Element Tattoo Supply, 2008). A liner needle is used for the outline of a tattoo and small detail
work. A shader needle has anywhere from one up to 14 needles (Element Tattoo Supply, 2008), and
is used for coloring or shading a tattoo. A mag or magnum needle has five to 15 needles (Element
Tattoo Supply, 2008) and is used for larger tattoos. The artist may use a round shader needle to do
color in a large tattoo, or use a mag, it is up to the artist on what they like to use. The flat shader
needle is a flat line of needles that is usually four or six needles. A mag needle is like a flat shader,
but there are more needles, and more rows of needles. An artist will use any sort of combination of
needles in a tattoo. It is up to the artist on what they prefer to use to what part of each tattoo. [Some

Advantages Of Makeup
There are an abundant amount of young ladies and even young men who love makeup but never
know which brands to buy. These young men and women often think that buying 'dupes" of high
end makeup in the drugstore is the best way to go when in all actuality, it is not. Drugstore makeup
is a "go–to" when the makeup artists are not doing an extravagant look and when the consumers do
not care so much for the outcome. On the other hand, a makeup artist would go for the high end
makeup for those elegant looks when they do care for the outcome and want perfection. When high
end makeup is compared and contrasted to drugstore makeup, the buyers can clearly see that high
end makeup is the better choice.
When consumers are buying makeup they want to know the value of the product. A consumer
knows that when buying a product from a drugstore it is cheaper, so this way all the products are
each under twenty dollars. However , they might be cheaper but the fragrance might not always
smell the best. Not only is the fragrance not the best, but the packaging is not always pretty. On the
contrary, consumers also know that buying from a higher end brand and store the prices are
dramatically higher but know it is worth it. Unlike drugstore makeup, the fragrance and packaging
smell and look elegant. For people who love makeup, most agree that paying for "luxury beauty
items (Shunatona)" are willing to pay extra money because they know it'll be worth it .Due to this

availability, and foremost the salary. For someone who decides to join the field of tattooing, one
may want to understand the concept of the career as well as be prepared for what one has to do. To
begin, a tattoo artist refers to anyone who performs the work of tattooing. This does not include
physicians or osteopath licensed. Nor shall it contain any technician acting under supervision of
such licensed person (TATTOO ARTISTS, OPERATORS, STUDIOS AND ESTABLISHMENTS).
A tattoo artist is one who performs injecting ink into a wound purposely, also referred to as a tattoo.

  • 1. Motivation Statement For Estee Lauder INTRODUCTION The MEB provides a great foundation before you enter the world of business. As an intern, the skills and knowledge gained over the past few months have been documented in this report providing an insightful view into the journey. This summer, as a part of the end of studies internship I worked as a Real Estate Intern (EMEA) at Estee Lauder companies in Paris. It exposed me to the fast–paced world of the beauty industry. In 3 supercharged months, I garnered extensive experience in the intricacies of managing a real estate portfolio of ELC brands (25+ Brands), from the retail strategy execution, negotiating with landlords and optimizing the portfolio and approving the shop openings at an EMEA level to drive visibility. After 2 months ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Principally sold through limited sales channels to complement the brand positioning. The online and offline experience is seamless, strengthening the relationship of the brand with retailers and consumers. The distribution strategy, heightens the aspirational quality of their brands. Estee Lauder have tactically opened new stores globally that are operated by either them or by authorized third parties(Franchise). About 1200 stores, and more than 500 stores are operated around the world by partners (third parties). This allows for lesser risk when entering a foreign country. The number of stores will increase in the next few years significantly. Products are sold through company owned and operated e–commerce sites in 35 countries. Majority of the sales come from the United States and United Kingdom, with EMEA not too far behind. Macro Approach STEP 1: i. MARKET DATA: Geography, Demography, ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

  • 3. The Career Of A Makeup Artist Starting at the age of 11, there was a blooming girl who began to get genuinely interested in makeup. Her dad though, was not too keen for makeup, so she snuck it on whenever she got to school and made sure she took it off either while she and her brothers walked home or before her dad came to pick her up. This blooming girl was only in the 6th grade, which is kind of reasonable now that she thinks back on it, although when she was 11 she thought it was the most unfair thing; why stop her from doing something she likes that expresses herself and who she can be as a person? However, as time went on and she got older and understood that it just meant he was fearful she was growing up too quickly. Being a Makeup artist would be rewarding, ... • 6. The Beauty Of Art : What Is Art? What is "Art?". That is a question most people will ponder about to answer something along the lines of, "drawing and paintings"; many will normally associate art with Pablo Picasso, Leonardo Da Vinci, or Andy Warhol as legendary artists. However, art is not just defined by a masterpiece, it is defined by beauty, and the particular pleasure that is accompanied by it. Art is something that we can glimpse at, and know it will please us. Art is what makes beauty manifest. Beauty is admired, and hence it can be expressed on not just canvases, but even our faces. Makeup lacks acknowledgement for its form in art, whereas makeup artists use the same procedure as artists to create such astonishing pieces. Makeup artist are usually not recognized as serious artists, and some people tend to think they have an easy job. Whereas, makeup artists have a difficult role to play– understanding the color wheel, and interpreting what colors compliment hair, eye, and skin colors of different shades. Having a large assortment of makeup, and makeup brushes doesn't make anyone a makeup artist, it is the skills, education, and practices that establishes the beauty of art, and grants makeup artists with the freedom to express themselves. Being a makeup artist is more than just a dress–up little girl game, being a makeup artist is being able to make art with a face; on a face you have to learn to work with what is on there, it is like painting on divergent canvas structures. • 8. Pablo Picasso Research Paper Painting, sculpting, graphite and ink are some ways of art that I love. Pablo Picasso knew how to do all of that very well and inspired others everywhere. He became my role model; I look up to him and his work. Picasso wasn't just an artist; he devoted his life into making art for others to enjoy. His art showed his emotions, thoughts and his life. Art ran down in his family too; he got inspired by his father. Pablo Picasso inspired many artists, and he inspired me because of his devotion to his phenomenal art. Picasso was noticed at an early age; he was a student at the Barcelona Academy of Fine Arts (Rowland et al). At such a young age Picasso had so much talent, "Everything you can imagine is real" (Feifer et al). His imagination was so important, it made up what his art is. All of his talent was noticed and then he became big; he kept practicing his love for art and became an inspiration ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Picasso said, "I paint objects as I think them, not as I see them" (Feifer et al). Picasso clearly had a good imagination if he could think and paint instead of seeing and painting. It shows how important his imagination was for his art. "The chief enemy of creativity is good sense" (biography.com). Having good sense is getting in the way of being creative and expressing yourself, so if Picasso made sense of everything than it would be boring; he would know all of the facts instead of being open–minded. Picasso lets go of everything while he painted, he doesn't stress about all of the facts. "Every act of creation is first of all an act of destruction" (pablopicasso.org). Sometimes in life and art, you have to go in with the new and go out with the old. Picasso has inspired many with his open mind and amazing creative mind. He was not the first one to try something, but people saw what he did as his style; he started as copying but in the end he completely stole ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 9. The Current Music Industry Has Transformed From Being An Art The current music industry is a hard business for all musicians, whether they are a new artist or even a popular radio artist. Modern times have radically changed the way that musicians now make money. Past musicians used to be able to make a living simply by selling their music and playing a few major concerts to survive and even lives some luxurious lives and not really have to focus on anything except the art that they were creating. The music industry has transformed from being an art to becoming a challenging business job for anyone involved. Today, most musicians have to also be able to handle managerial business to get anywhere and make money or find someone to help them. Current musicians need to do more than just sell music ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... This is where a record label comes into play. For new bands, one of their first major steps into getting into the business is usually finding a record label. A record label is commonly known by most people as someone who simply signs a band and sells their music. What most people do not know is that they do much more than that. A label does do all the things that people believe they do, however, they also do much more to help an artist. A label is one band's contact to other artists or promotors that will help further their popularity and reach out to more businesses who could potentially seek endorsement deals to support an artist while also advertising their own product (Lindvall). However, some bands have had negative experiences with labels. There are many negative outlooks on record labels recently and their work with certain artists. The first problem is the royalty fees made with labels. An artist's album can cost anything from $15,000 to $200,000 (Recording Connection) and the artist is often left in debt after which is slowly paid back through the sales of their own records which only leaves them a fraction of what the original product was sold for. Another major problem with most major record labels is that their sole reason to get artists is to further their own profit. Most major labels put business before art, ... • 10. Meet Up Research Paper Back in June I got a text from Ruby creator of Brown Girl With A Camera, asking if I would help her plan a meetup in NYC in August. I jumped at the chance because I'm all about helping and supporting fellow entrepreneurs. I want us all to win! Plus, Brown Girl With A Camera's mission is awesome read about it here. August is always a busy month for me. Especially this august I had two weddings and my 4 year wedding anniversary. The only date I had available was August 29th. Ruby and I agreed on a date. I got off the phone and got right to work. I've hosted art exhibits, women's empowerment events but never a meet–up. This meet–up was an excellent opportunity not only for the photographers & models attending to build their portfolios but also an a chance for everyone to network, build friendships and cultivate a sisterhood. I've said it once before and I will say it again. Photography is mainly dominated by males. Anytime I can get together with a group female photographers, share knowledge, experiences with women that are going through the same things that I am and just vibe it's a good time. My goal was for everyone to leave the meet–up confident, inspired and hopefully with new skills. YUP.... this meet–up was going to be awesome! Once I had my vision for the meet–up down. • 13. Artists Playing Their Music In Advertising The use of an artist's music in advertising is a key part in advertising that could make a person looking at the advertisement really want what is being advertised. Artists and advertisement companies benefit from this so why shouldn't consumers get to listen to their favorite artist in a advertisement that advances the advertisers and artists pay checks. Listening to your favorite artist talk about a product while their music is playing in the back ground could make an Eskimo want to buy ice. The benefits of both the advertisers, the artists and possibly consumers outweighs the slight possibility that people will grow to not like the song anymore from it being over played. Artists playing their music in commercials is such a good idea because a consumer will hear that song and immediately start to think of that product differently. It's as if the consumer thinks that if that artists likes the product or service so much it must be good. • 29. Being An Artist Of The Modern World Essay It seems that parents are more than ready to see their children grow up to become engineers, medical professionals, and business owners in a world where science and technology is constantly advancing. When one thinks of these aforementioned careers they imagine dollar signs, large houses, fancy cars, and other ridiculous luxuries that come with the title. Artists lie on the other side of the spectrum. They are people who did not want to study science, technology, or business, and they did not care whether or not their job will make them financially successful. They wanted to be a part of something more imaginative, more creative, and, in some ways, more rewarding than an ordinary office job. Unfortunately, the image that comes to mind for most people when they think of an artist in the modern world is that of a poor, starving, and uneducated person whose job is something a three year old child could do. This new reputation that comes with being an artist is quite different from when those who dedicated their lives to art were revered and admired for their skills. People who want to go into the arts are constantly discouraged and told to pick a "real job" if they ever want to be financially stable and successful in the real world. • 32. The Foundation of Makeup Makeup is a positive creation because it is a form of art, it can help a person feel better about themselves and it helps the person express their personality. The Great Max Factor once said," You are not born glamorous, glamour is created." Most society thinks makeup is just a way to hide a person's flaws or a way to have a fake perfection. Makeup is more than that; it is the paint a person uses to create a masterpiece. Makeup is the way people express art and help them feel better about and express themselves through the way they look. What paint and paint brushes are to painters, eye shadow and makeup brushes are to makeup artists. A good makeup artist thinks of their craft with passion. They can turn a person's face into a work of art. The tools a makeup artist uses are basically the same as a painter. The two are the same. Precision and skill goes into both trades. If a person looks at the elements of a great painting and a makeup look that had skill and heart go into it, they are the same. Depth in the shapes and lines of the painting are just like the depth in the contours painted onto the face. All in all makeup is more than what people think it to be. Makeup changes the way a person sees themselves and overall gives them confidence. A study was given to American female college students to see how they felt about themselves with makeup on compared to when they were all natural. They found that more felt better about themselves with makeup on. Thomas F. Cash found, ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

These young men and women often think that buying 'dupes" of high end makeup in the drugstore is the best way to go when in all actuality, it is not. Drugstore makeup is a "go–to" when the makeup artists are not doing an extravagant look and when the consumers do not care so much for the outcome. On the other hand, a makeup artist would go for the high end makeup for those elegant looks when they do care for the outcome and want perfection. When high end makeup is compared and contrasted to drugstore makeup, the buyers can clearly see that high end makeup is the better choice. When consumers are buying makeup they want to know the value of the product. A consumer knows that when buying a product from a drugstore it is cheaper, so this way all the products are each under twenty dollars. However , they might be cheaper but the fragrance might not always smell the best. Not only is the fragrance not the best, but the packaging is not always pretty. On the contrary, consumers also know that buying from a higher end brand and store the prices are dramatically higher but know it is worth it. Unlike drugstore makeup, the fragrance and packaging smell and look elegant.
