2. INTRODUCTION
Crayola was having trouble with its viewers being able to navigate through their site effectively,
the design was outdated and in need of some reconstruction of the navigation and overall design
of the site.
Being a parent myself brought out most of my inspiration so being able to do this redesign for
Crayola was exciting. My young children gave me the ideas to use some if not most of the items
on the redesign of this site.

3. The crayola site wanted to come up with some new ideas for their site. They wanted their
viewers to be able to navigate through the site better and be able to find the products they now
and love faster.
I choose to start out with some basic crayon colors that crayola carries as the color schemes
because I felt that it carried the product better and allowed for the viewers to feel like they were a
kid again for the adults.
Next I choose some of the imagery for the site. I choose to use a crayon image in the background
on one of the design comps because it would better suited the site and what it was about.
Growing up we all knew crayola so I felt this would work as the background for the site.
The imagery used in these designs supports the overall concept for this design because it allows
the viewer to know that this is the product they know and love. The font chosen for this design
are kid friendly, parent, and educator friendly. It effectively communicates my ideas by allowing
the viewer to be able to read the text on the page effectively without confusion.
The overall comps fit within the brand and schemes of the identify by allowing for the site to be
easier to navigate without having too much information. This allows the viewer to come to the
site and know where to go right away without having to do too much searching to find the items
they would like to find.
4. Conclusion
Crayola wanted a design that would suit the needs of their viewers that allowed them to be able
to navigate to the pages more easily. I have done this by creating a design that is simple and
easy to follow, minimizing the pages that viewers had to go to. Being able to have everything in
one place is what viewers want to see. No child, parent or educator has much time to be
searching all day long for the items that they would like to find. My designs create a fun and
inviting place for children, parents, and educators to come play and search for items they know
and love.
