The document describes the development of a magnetorheological knee prosthesis. The prosthesis aims to provide an affordable and functional replacement for the knee joint through the use of magnetorheological fluid. A prototype was constructed to test the design which includes an MR fluid chamber, a resistance barrier to control movement, and a lock beam to prevent hyperflexion. While the mechanism design is complete, control systems still need to be developed and further consideration of energy consumption and magnetic interference is required.
