o It is a process of establishing relationships among
the members of the enterprise.
o The relationship is created in terms of authority
and responsibility.

STAFFING FUNCTION REFERS TO THE ACTION
INITIATED TO PROCURE SUITABLE PERSONNEL
TO FILL VARIOUS JOBS IN THE ENTERPRISE.
IT IS CONCERNED WITH THE HUMAN
RESOURCES.
ITS AIM IS TO PLACE THE RIGHT PERSON FOR
THE RIGHT JOB AND AT THE RIGHT TIME.
STAFFING INCLUDES RECRUITMENT, SELECTION,
PLACEMENT, TRAINING, GROWTH AND
DEVELOPMENT, PROMOTION, TRANSFER,
REMUNERATION, ETC.
6. DIRECTION IS THAT PART OF MANAGERIAL PROCESS
WHICH ACTUATES THE MEMBERS OF THE ORGANISATION
TO WORK EFFICIENTLY, AND EFFECTIVELY FOR THE
ATTAINMENT OF OBJECTIVES.
DIRECTION IS MOVING TO ACTION AND SUPPLYING
STIMULATIVE POWER TO THE GROUP.
DIRECTING INVOLVES SUPERVISING, COMMUNICATING
AND PROVIDING LEADERSHIP TO THE SUBORDINATES
AND MOTIVATING THEM TO ACHIEVE ORGANIZATIONAL
OBJECTIVES.
7. IT IS A PROCESS TO ENSURE THAT THE
ACTIVITIES OF PERSONNEL AND USE OF
RESOURCES ARE IN CONFORMITY WITH THE
PLANS.
