SAIRLA aims to support sustainable agricultural intensification in Africa in order to meet growing food demands while reducing environmental impacts and supporting poorer smallholders. SAIRLA will take a multi-stakeholder approach to generate and share knowledge about sustainable agricultural intensification practices so that decision makers can develop agricultural systems that enable women, youth, and poorer farmers to participate and benefit. By facilitating discussion between stakeholders and jointly assessing options, SAIRLA hopes to strengthen capacity for more inclusive and sustainable agricultural development in Africa.
