AUTOMATED HYDRAULIC CLUTCH SYSTEM: Replaced the clutch pedal with Heavy duty linear actuator controlled by SyRen50A
Motor Drive using MotoTron system.

2. MODELING AND TESTING A HYBRID VEHICLE SYSTEM | MTU: Designed a control system for a parallel Hybrid Electric prototype
vehicle using MotoHawk and MotoTune rapid prototyping Embedded Control software. Spring 2016
DEVELOPMENT OF HEV POWERTRAIN CONTROLLER: Optimized Engine, Motor, and Regenerative brake torques, performed
vehicle modeling and simulation activities to predict performance and impact due to hardware variability. Support prototype
and production OEM vehicle integration and development efforts from the powertrain controls perspective.
REMOTE ELECTRONIC THROTTLE (ETC) CONTROL AND FUEL INJECTOR CONTROL VIA CAN:
Designed Fuel Injector Control System in MotoTron RPS using SOI and Crank Angle Inputs.
Achieved controlled mass airflow through ETC of BOSCH DV-E5 body using PID algorithm.
Calibrated and validated the model on Freescale MPC565 based Woodward’s ECU in MotoTune tool.
3. DEVELOPMENT OF CONTROL SYSTEM FOR CONFIGURABLE HYBRID ELECTRIC VEHICLE | MTU: Spring 2016
Designed Model based HEV controller in real-time using Simulink, Stateflow (State Machines), MotoHawk blocks, and was
prototyped on MotoTron Desktop I/O simulator (Freescale MPC565 ECU) using Auto-code generation from scratch.
Achieved 20% increase in Regenerative Braking incorporating concepts from digital control.
4. ENGINE & CONTROL PROJECTS (Model Based Control / ADAS) | MTU: Fall 2016
FUEL CONTROL IN SPARK IGNITION ENGINE: Developed Transient Fuel Controller and PI Controller using feedback from EGO
sensor, determined robustness of system by analyzing various parameter in controller, Maintained Lambda sensor at
stoichiometry with controller design.
PID CONTROL OF A TORQUE CONVERTER LOCKUP CLUTCH: Designed control system that allows the slip to be set to a desired
value which yields zero slip through the torque converter significantly increases the efficiency.
INTELLIGENT CRUISE CONTROL DESIGN:
Designed Intelligent cruise control system which controls Speed and Headway distance of car from vehicle in front.
Implemented Stateflow to achieve controller switching which indeed took 16 seconds for car to switch to full
autonomous switching mode.
