An employee proposed creating a web page to notify power plant operators to take generator readings every two hours when natural gas generators are running. Previously, operators could miss scheduled readings, risking improper data collection over time. The new web page would display a pop-up window on operators' computers to alert them when readings are due. Operators could also disable the alerts if the generators were not running. The goal was to improve safety, costs, morale, quality and productivity through more accurate and timely generator readings.
