- Die erste Generation der Radarsensoren muss für eine korrekte Funktion manuell exakt an der geometrischen Fahrachse ausgerichtet werden. Das Einstellen des Sensors selbst ist eine leichte Übung. Er kann mit zwei Schrauben wie ein Scheinwerfer horizontal und vertikal justiert werden. Radarsensoren der zweiten Generation müssen nach der Unfallreparatur oder dem Austausch nur noch grob an den entsprechenden Markierungen ausgerichtet werden. Für die Feinjustage wird das System per Diagnosegerät in den Kalibriermodus geschaltet. Auf einer anschließenden Probefahrt sucht sich der Sensor automatisch Referenzpunkte, anhand derer er die geometrische Fahrachse und die Einbauposition erkennt und miteinander in Einklang bringt. Ist der Abgleich abgeschlossen, stehen alle Assistenzfunktionen wieder zur Verfügung Die Abkürzung MEMS steht für Micro-Electro-Mechanical-Systems. In solchen Sensoren schaffen Ingenieure feinste Strukturen aus Silizium, die sich bei der Bewegung des Gehäuses um Bruchteile eines Tausendstelmillimeters verschieben. Dabei ändern sich die elektrischen Eigenschaften. Die werden gemessen und in einen Datenstrom umgewandelt

Bei einer Achsvermessung Spur/Sturz der Hinterachse verstellt wurden. Fahrwerksumbauten bei denen die Karosseriehöhe beeinflusst wurden. Geber für Fahrzeugniveau bei Fahrzeugen mit elektr. Dämpferregulierung wurden neu angelernt.

- Alle in der Funktion „Grundeinstellung / Frontkamera kalibrieren“ Voraussetzungen müssen erfüllt sein, damit die Kamera die Bilddaten korrekt erfassen kann und es später keine Beeinträchtigungen in der Funktion von Fahrerassistenzsystemen gibt. ====== All requirements detailed at the „basic setting / calibration of front camera“ have to be met, in order to make sampling of picture-data possible for the camera and therefore avoid undesired malfunctions of driver‘s assist systems.
