 Doesn’t take place during pregnancy
 Rare in lactating women
 Mechanism:

9. 2: Menstruation or Uterine Cycle
Premenstrauation or Secretory Phase

 Endometrial thickness reaches to the maximum
 Secretion of uterine glands
 Glycogen
 Mucin
 Uterine is ready for the implantation of fertilized ovum
 Also called luteal phase
 If the ovum has not fertilized 12-14 day and no progesterone
 If the ovum has fertilized 3-4 month( plasenta formation)
