2. My target age is for people form the age of 17
to around 27.This is because they are
relatively young yet not too young so the
target audience will be able to join in the
competitions and free gifts inside the
magazine.
3. As many people this age are students or In
education I have included many give away’s
and chances to win prizes. This would make
young people more likely to buy my product
for the chances to win different things.
4. By using bright colours and eye catching
Images on the front cover
By having this age group as models in the
magazine show the target audience this
magazine is suitable for them
Including links within social media
The general genre of music is aimed at this
age group stereotypically
5. My product is unique as it is for both boys and
girls. Even though other house music
magazines do not discriminate against the
female sex it is still stereotypical for men to
listen to house music and be on the front
covers of magazines. This is why I have
broken this down.
6. As this is the first issue I wanted to make a
statement about how this issue was going to
be equal, hence why there is a female on the
front and the double page spread
Yet, there are still many male DJ’s named on
the contents page and there is a male model
in the issue as well
The colour theme also suggests the unisex
audience in which I am trying to attract
7. This product is for people of all social status’
but it will mainly be appropriate for the lower
to working class people as it is cheap to buy
and the discounts it includes
This is as many people who are working class
and live in low income areas are the ones who
tend to go to raves and live by house music
8. I have addressed all classes by making this
magazine cheap, this means that nobody
should hopefully have to go without to buy it
It also have many great deals so whatever
social status you are it doesn’t matter
The magazine does not focus on anything
materialistic in comparisons to other house
music magazines i.e. expensive clothes, it is
only about the music
