3. Locations
• York College, YO23 2BB
• 50 Heslington Road, YO10 5AU
• Falista 99, 94-115, Lodz, Poland (working abroad
will be required, it should not be a problem
considering the individual nature of my work)
5. Choosing a
suitable Graphic
Tablet
• Huion H420 Graphic tablet- more compact, quick and responsive.
The pen that comes with it is not very comfortable to hold
• Wacom Intuos- significantly bigger in size, smoother but also
slightly slower. The pen that comes with it is more comfortable to
hold
I have decided to test both products to identify the key differences
between them and how well each of them feels in practice. Using
both Wacom and Huion I have created two similar drawings, this gave
me an idea of what I like, and dislike abut each product.
Since both tablets have different, yet complementary qualities, I
decided not to limit myself and include both of them as my
equipment options. I will switch between them as I can see myself
needing each for different stages of work (e.g. one tablet will be
better for sketching and colouring, another for detailed drawing).
When considering my options, I was also presented with a way bigger
Wacom Intuos 4 (a reference photo on the right, Intuos 4 compared
to Huion H420), however due to its size it's unlikely for me to use it in
my project.

6. Facilities
• Primarily York College facility- I will aim to do as much production as I
can while in college in order to avoid having to transfer my work
between devices.
• At home- It will most likely be impossible to work purely from college,
considering the amount of time and effort it will take me to create
each card. I see myself creating my product from home using my own
devices and equipment, however I will try to manage my time well
enough for this to be my last resort.
7. Personnel
I will be, most likely, the only person directly working on this project.
The only situation that I can image, where someone else is featured in the
process of creating my project, would be when I need technical help when
using the chosen software/ devices.
In this type of scenario, the teaching staff of York College will definitely be
helpful.
11. Mock-up and initial card template
design
In Photoshop, I have
created two potential card
designs that I'm
considering for my project.
The first one consist of the
main illustration area
12. Main themes/inspiration
- religion and an overall theme of faith,
-identity (sexuality, gender, specifically
femininity)
-feminism
-BLM movement
-church and its influence on young people
-marihuana usage
- lack of access to safe, legal abortion
19. Location information
• York College, York YO23 2BB- available Monday to
Friday 9:00AM-4:30PM
Each week there are three days of mandatory days
(Mon-Wed) in which I will be able to work on my
project since 9:00-4:30, the rest of the week is
available to me as a backup. Attending college during
the rest of the week will equal working on a different
computer ad having to book my equipment in advance.
• If unable to work at college, I'm capable of working
from home as I have all necessary backup equipment
available if needed
20. Planning/ Time management (Producing

22. Health and Safety
Potential Issue How will the issue be
avoided?
Back pain, neck pain, shoulders pain
caused by constant sitting.
I can allow myself to do quick breaks during
which I will stretch, I will be taking short
walks around the classroom
Eye strain/ dryness due to a constant
exposure to a monitor
When working I will try to keep a decent
distance between me and the monitor, not too
close to avoid irritation. I will minimalise using
my phone during my breaks as to let my eyes
rest.
Headaches caused by the high screen time I will make sure to bring water with me in order
to keep myself hydrated in front of a monitor
that tends to dehydrate. I will also prepare pain
killing medication in case of a headache.
Editor's Notes
You need to identify locations and plan a recce.
What are the limitations and risks, eg distance, access, cost, weather? How will you manage this?
What do you need? E.g. equipment, resources? Mostly from college, but who do you need to speak to get this kit? What is available? When?
Look at equipment hire places, etc
Where will you edit your video? Do you need any other specialist facilities…? Software?
CREW: What is you team? Who is in it? What are each team members strengths/weaknesses? When are they available?
CAST: Do you need any external performers? When are they available? Cost implications? Will you have to feed them? Transport them?
Other personnel? Is anyone else helping you?
Black out all contact details as this will be going online, but you will still need to collect these.
