2. The Myers Briggs indicator
A personality test that account four characteristics classifies people into 1 to 16 personality
types
Extrovert/introvert
Extrovert are sociable people who love to sit out they are adventurous people they are
more energetic they are multitaskers in contrast introverts are mostly peace loving people they
are quiet and shy they don’t mingle with people they have built up walls around themselves
and not letting others to come closer they are focused on one task at one time
For example job description requires an extrovert person for the job of marketing but
HR manager seeing that person who has higher GPA we can say that GPA has no effect on the
personality of a person because by getting higher GPA no one can learn or get the skills that an
extrovert person will get so HR manager will hire that person who have higher GPA that
extrovert who has lower GPA but that extrovert is good for the job of marketing because he can
deal all type of customers and he is more inclined towards outing and adventures as compared
to introvert and by hiring an introvert will affect the productivity of organization because job
description of marketing requires a sociable person who have to go out and deal with people to
increase sales of the organization but in that scenario introvert will not be able to go out to
market the product of the company
3. Sensing/intuitive
Sensing type of people like perfection they are realistic people they are more practical
people who like to do things in perfect order in contrast to the intuitive people who are
focusing on bigger picture they start assuming things they try to suppose things they are
basically relaying on their unconscious minds
For example two employees joins an organization one is sensing employee and other is
intuitive employee now organization is just undisciplined and no proper job description is there
for employee no proper timing of the coming and leaving of employees in that case newly hired
sensing employee started to retard the organization as sensing employee is well disciplined and
a practical person he did not like the undisciplined organization and there will be conflicts
between his personality and organization personality but in contrast the intuitive one is calm
person he don’t bother with the organization environment and he started perceiving that all
problems will settled in the long run as he is seeing the bigger picture of the settlement of
problems he is thinking ahead of time
4. Thinking/feeling
Thinking type of people are more judgmental people they logically saw every problem
they see pros and cons of a problem before making a decision they are rational decision makers
Feeling involved emotions and behaviors they person whose personality is dominant in
feeling react most often they basically involved their feelings they prioritized emotions on every
thing
For example in an organization there comes a project for which employees have to do
work in extra work hours for this reason employees will get reward now thinking types of
employee first judge the situation then extra working hours or overtime pay then rationally
and critically analyze the situation of firm and profit that company will get from that project
and reward he will receive by doing overtime then agree to work overtime because he is
thinking practically but in that case employee with feeling first think about his family that by
giving extra time to firm his family will be ignored and he will feel burden by doing work in extra
hours moreover he will care for his health that his health will disturb by doing work by going
against his capacity of work
5. Judging/perceiving
The people with judging personality love to live a life in an order they want everything
to be planned they usually do all this planning to avoid last minute rush they are more
comfortably following the rules and disciplines they want their world to be perfect they want
perfection in every single task and thing in his life in contrast perceived people are more
flexible and they are adaptive they are more energetic people and don’t bother with last
minute stress
For example in an organization two employees are given the same task one employee
who is well disciplined he make schedule of his work and making plans and started
implementing these plans now his work ended before time and the other worker who has given
the same task he delayed the task and not giving importance to the work as he is considering it
last minute work
