1. Responsible for Maintenance of the Vehicle Service Log.

Reviewing of repair estimates and forwarding them to the necessary parties for approvals.

Assist in conducting quarterly vehicle checks to ensure vehicle accessories are well
maintained
Maintain all records with regards to the vehicles including report on tyres purchased for
each vehicle
Work with the transport officer on other transport related issues as needed
Reviewing and compiling the fuel analysis for all vehicles
Making the weekly Nairobi transport schedule
Supervising the garage repairs and making a random visit to the garages to view the repair
progress
Reviewing and approving the motor vehicle tyre replacements
Overseeing the transfer of vehicles within the pool
Making a follow up on insurance renewal for all office vehicles and ensuring that they are
up to date
Ensuring all the pickup & Vans have been taken for an annual inspection as required by the
traffic act
Doing a transport orientation for new staff
Act as an incidental driver incase all drivers are committed
Maintain a database of all transport vendors and perform a market study for all quality
supplies and fair prices
Request for quotations for all supplies and repairs done in the transport department
Receive all items delivered to our department and confirm if they match the exact
description of items procured
Manage all the stock for accessories in our department and replenish where necessary
Support fleet management systems including the tracking systems
Foreseeing installation of the fleet management software’s
Identify the providers of the stable networks and facilitate their contracting
Organize installation of communication equipment in the motor pool
Train the transport staff in use of communication equipment installed in the motor pool
Do a costing of the communication monthly bill and forward to finance for payment
