RESPONCIBILITIES OF SERVICE MANAGER ,
SUPERVISOR AND CARE MANAGER

2. What is maintenance?
 Actions necessary for retaining or restoring a
piece of equipment, machine, or system to the
specified operable condition to achieve its
maximum useful life.
Activities required or undertaken to conserve as
nearly, and as long, as possible the original
condition of an asset or resource while
compensating for normal wear and tear.

3. There are 4 type of maintennce
 1. Preventive maintenance
 2. Break maintenance (breakdown)
 3.Periodic maintenance
 4.Operation maintenance

4. Preventive maintenance
 Preventive maintenance attempts to prevent any
probable failures/breakdowns
 It is said that Preventive maintenance is a stich in
time that saves time.
 “prevention is better than cure”.
 Preventive maintenance refers to maintenance
action performed to keep or retain a
machine/equipment or asset in a satisfactory
operating condition
 through periodic inspections, lubrication,
calibration, replacements and overhauls.

5.  Reduce breakdown of vehicle
 Increase safety
 Less expenses on repair
 Less equipment required
 Good control over inventory of spare parts

6. Breakdown maintenance
 Breakdown maintenance is maintenance
performed on equipment that has broken down
and is unusable.
 When vehicle become immobilize
 During running
 These are starting difficulties, puncture , electrical
fault , carburetor fault, fuel supply fault, accident,
etc.

7. Periodic or schedule
maintenance
 Significant activities carried out regularly
(according to predetermined schedule) to
maintain the condition or operational status of
vehicle.
 For specified time interval
 Like weekly, monthly, quarterly, yearly, etc.
 For specified distance cover
 Like 500km, 1000km,2000km, 5000km , etc.
 Avoid road failure
 Minimize road breakdown.

 Daily maintenance by operator for proper running
 Need to keep the vehicle in proper condition
 Tyre inflation
 Battery
 Brake
 Clutch
 Smoke color
 Starting system
 Ignition system

keeping
 Vehicle maintenance of log is historical record of
the condition and repair work on an individual
vehicle.
 Used by owner and transport operator for
preventive maintenance, safety, and record
purpose
 Can be used to do document both maintenance
and inspection

MANAGER in service station
 Greet and interact with customer
 Understand the problem of vehicle
 Drive with technician and customer to understand the
problem of vehicle
 Prepare cost estimation for service , spare part, repairs
 Maintain and manage daily record of repair and service of
vehicle
 ensure vehicle delivery as soon as possible
 Handle the customer
 Handle customer inquiries and respond in professional
manner
 Educate customer on maintaining of vehicle
 Supervise , manage, and monitor the staff like mechanic
and technician
 Ensure customer satisfaction at highest level through

17. Role of SERVICE SUPERVISOR in
service station
 Overseeing mechanic and worker
 Supervise independently
 maintain harmony with foreman
 Communicate with superiors and subordinate
 Organize schedule and implement the smooth
flow

18. Duties and responsibilities of
SUPERVISOR in service station
 Communicate between customer and mechanic
 Assign , supervise and participate in major and minor
repair
 Conduct training program for employee with equipment
supplier for new technic
 Determine the priority of work order
 Ensure that there enough parts in inventory which matches
the vehicle
 Maintain record
 Monitor tools, toolroom equipment, maintenance and
safety practice
 Must have knowledge of current equipment
 Estimate the cost of repairs
 Make sure service complete in timely manner

care manager in service station
 Are responsible for customer satisfaction all time
 Supervising and managing customer servise
