PositionDescription:Women’sBusinessCenter(WBC) ProjectDirector
The Women’sBusinessCenterDirectorisresponsibleforthe developmentactivitiesandprogramdesign
of the WBC, marketingthe WBCprograms,program implementation,WBCevaluationandreporting,
and staff supervision.
I. DevelopmentActivitiesandProgram Design ofthe Women’sBusinessCenter
 Developtraining,counseling,andtechnicalassistance programsandservicesdesignedto
addressthe specificbusinessneedsof womenbusinessownerswhoutilize the WBC.
 Develop,implement,andmanage the client intake process.
 Developandnurture formal andinformal partnershipswithpublicandprivate sector
entitiesthatcanassistinsupportingandenhancingthe Center’sprogramsandservices.
Partnershipbuildingprogrammustinclude SBA partners.
 Developfee basedproductsandservicesthatwillbringthe Centertolevelof self-
sufficiency.
 Developon-line service deliverytools
II. Marketing ofWomen’sBusinessCenterPrograms
 Implementmarketingactivitiesdesignedtoattract womenbusinessownersand
encourage the utilizationandparticipationof the Center’sprogramandservices.
 Conductcommunityoutreachandpublicrelationsefforts.
 Attendselectedtrade showsandpublicevents.
 Developon-line marketingtools
III.Program Implementationofthe WBC
 Ensure that the WBC isopenduringitsadvertiseddaysandhoursof operationandthat all
services,programs,andresourcesare availableandaccessible.
 Manage the day-to-dayoperationsof all WBCprogramsand ensure implementation as
specifiedbythe SBA.
 Ensure that the WBC meetsthe setannual milestones
 Maintainongoingcommunicationwiththe SBA Office of Women’sBusinessOwnership
(OWBO).
 Ensure the WBC meetsitsobligationtoprovide servicestowomenentrepreneursviathe
Online Women’sBusinessCenterorotherdeliverymechanismasoutlinedbythe SBA.
 Participate inthe hiringprocessof the WBC Center’sstaff andinthe hiringprocessfor
volunteerswhowill participate inactivitiesrelatedtothe WBC’sprograms.
 Manage the submissionof reports,budgets,evaluationsandotherdocumentsnecessary
to satisfythe administrative requirementsof the WBC.
 Provide atleast15 hours/monthof one-on-one counseling/consultingservicestoclients.
 Facilitate InfoSessiontogroupsas needed.
 Facilitate trainingcoursesorseminarswhenneeded
IV. WBC Evaluation and Reporting
 Participate inthe designof programmonitoring&evaluationtomeetorganizational
expectedoutcomes.
 Ensure that the data collectionandclientinformationsystemsconformtothe data
requiredforinputintothe OWBOTrack files.
 Interface withthe CEOon all financial issuesrelatedtothe WBC
V. Staff SupervisionProgram Manager
 Supervise WBCProgramManager performance inaccordance withexpectedoutcomes
for data trackingand reporting,aswell asoutreachactivitiestomeettargetedclient
volumesfortrainingandconsultationExternal ConsultantsandVolunteer
 Supervise external consultantsandvolunteermentor’sperformance inaccordance with
expectedoutcomesandSBA requirements.
 Ensure a successful reportingsystemforexternal consultantsandvolunteers,sothatthe
data collectionrequirementsbythe SBA are metina timelyandaccurate manner.
 Assistthe CEO increatingthe policies,processesandproceduresnecessarytosuccessfully
implementthe programsandservicesofferedbythe WBC.Interns& Office Assistants
 Supervise internsand/oroffice assistantsthatsupportclientintakeand administrative
duties.VII.Otherresponsibilities
 Participate instaff developmenttraining
