Needs should be provided in order for the plant to
provide people and animals with the uses it can
give.
2. 1. Sunlight and Water

• Good soil provides water and nutrients
in order to grow healthy
• Loam soil is a good kind of soil
favorable for the growth of plants
because it is rich with humus, a
substance that comes from the decayed
plants and animals.
• Decayed materials make the soil
fertile.
4. 3. Proper Care
1. Plants should be place where they
can get enough sunlight.
2. Water plants regularly. This keeps
them from withering, or drying up.
3. Using a trowel, loosen the soil
around the plant. Loosened soil
enables the plant to absorb more
water and nutrients from the soil.
5. 4. Remove dead plants around
growing plants. This will prevent
overcrowding and allow the
growing plants to become
healthier.
5. Remove dirt, weeds, and
dead leaves around the plants.
These rob the plant of nutrients
from the soil.
6. 6. Use fertilizers to help the
plants grow. Fertilizers are
materials that contain
additional nutrients. It is best to
use organic fertilizers, a type of
fertilizer that does not contain
chemicals. An example of this is
animals manure.
7. 7. Do not pick the leaves of
flowers of plants if you will just
play with them. Then when you
have to pick them, handle the
plant gently. Do not tug at its
leaves and flowers.
8. Keep the surroundings of plants
clean. Do not throw trash like
candy wrappers into plant boxes
and flower pots.

step on the plants or break off their
braches or stems.
10. Do not use pesticides on the
plants. Pesticides are substances
that are used to kill or control pests.
Pests are animals or plants that
harm the plants. However, pesticides
contain powerful chemicals that can
sometimes also cause harm to
people handling them.
