THE DUAL
DEGREE OPTION
The fact that an option for a dual
degree in International Relations
and Business Administration was
available, is the biggest motivating
factor. I always wanted to pursue
different courses which is why I
have taken Biology, Economics
and Business Management as my
higher level subjects.
THE WAY OF
TEACHING
As a student of the IB diploma, I
feel that the open-minded,
student based approach of
teaching is where I learn best.
Therefore making I.E. University
on top of my university chart.
THE MULTI-CULTURAL
ENVIRONMENT
As I have lived in two completely
different countries, I feel I am more
open-minded to different cultures. I
also believe in a course as
international relations, having peers
from diverse cultures surrounding
you, helps build a stronger
understanding of the course.

Currently my sister, Ishwari
Sawant, is part of IE university.
She has told me only positives
about the university’s culture and
faculty, which has managed to
excite me to be able to study
there. Above all, the University’s
amazing rankings and recognition
also persuaded me to apply.
WHY INTERNATIONAL
RELATIONS AND B.B.A.?
INTERNATIONAL
RELATIONS INTEREST
I developed my interest for
International Relations when I was
first introduced to MUNs in the 8th
Grade. From then I have attended
around 10 Model United Nations’
conferences around India and have
also chaired a few of them. The
complexity of the world and each
country intrigues me and I want to
pursue this as my career.
B.B.A.
I have been studying Business
since I was a little kid because my
dad is a businessman. But when I
started studying it in IGCSE, I
enjoyed each class and loved how
easily it could be incorporated in
the present world. Also I believe
that the knowledge gathered
from B.B.A can always be used in
some form or the other.
THE DUAL
DEGREE
As mentioned earlier, I have always
been the sort of person who would
want to study different disciplines
and studying completely different
courses would be doing exactly what
I enjoy. I believe when I like
something, I am much more involved
in it, and therefore the fact that I
would actually enjoy doing this
degree is something that motivates
me to work harder.
