Ever since I have laid a foot in middle school my life has changed so much. It has changed in a
very positive way. I use to despise school when I was in elementary school and I’m turning out
to love it. I am also trying to push myself more. Another thing that I have noticed is that I have
become ten times friendlier than I was in elementary.
Well, when I first started 6th grade at Hialeah gardens middle school I didn’t have that many
acquaintances. I had some of my old friends from grade school but separated into different
clicks. So I guess I had to find new friends. What I did was in every period I would try to make
friends and be more outgoing. This got me more friends and I was so social I was amazed at the
amazing change.
With all my new friends and a new social life I couldn’t forget about my grades and education.
Once I got into the 7th grade I had plenty of friends who were there for me. I had most of them
for different classes so we would help each other out a lot. For example in math class my friend
Jorge didn’t understand how to figure out the slope of the equation. I understood how to do it
so I was able to assist him with the problem. I knew I had to keep my grades up, so I would
study and review what I had just learned. If I didn’t keep my grades up I wouldn’t be able to
play my favorite sport baseball.
I use to spite school when I was in elementary school. Always having to wake up early in the
morning and look forward to the same element. I thought middle school was going to be like
that but thank the lord it wasn’t. Yeah 6th and 7th grade were a pain, but once I got to 8th grade
that’s when the fun started. The 8th graders were the leader of the school. All the field trips we
went on were so lively. Middle school has changed my mindset about school. Going through
middle school has changed me. I am more mature, have gained responsibility. I’ve turned in to
a very loving caring person.
