TASK 3: PLANNING AND
PREPARING A PITCH
Learning outcome 2 (U21): Be able to create a proposal and pitch for an original media product based
on a given brief.
By: William Glazer
OBJECTIVE
• Shout out has the objective to serves as a guide to new and upcoming artist in the
Hip- Hop rap scene that are based with in North London
• It will also serve as a place to get all the information about Hip hop rap’s history.
• This magazine will server as both a light for the past and a light for the future of Hip
hop rap.
FORM
• This magazine will be a monthly magazine coming out every month on the first.
• The Price will be £4.50 for each issues and a subscription for a year will cost at £45 a
year.
• Size would be a normal magazine size. (A4)
GENRE
• The Genre of the magazine will be Hip Hop/ rap.
• The reason this is because that from my research I got that most people in north
London enjoy Hip hop rap.
• Research:

TARGET AUDIENCE
• The target audience is 17 – 23 years old
• The reason I picked this age rang is because that I know from my research that with
in north London that a lot of 17 – 23 year olds listen to hip hop rap.
• I know this through the research I did when scouting out with interviews with over
50 people

DISTRIBUTION AND MARKETING
Marketing :
The marketing will be done through social media for example Instagram, Facebook
and Snapchat this will be beneficial as my target is so young they will be using this.
Distribution:
The magazine will be distributed through selling them to post offices and
supermarkets
LEGAL AND ETHICAL
• It could have problems with libel information that is used this can be stopped by
double checking the information that is put on to the magazine
• An ethical problem would be that it could contain strong laugh, sexual content and
graphic laugh with in it this can also be stopped by censoring it or giving it an age
restriction

Editor's Notes

  1. My objectives for Shout out magazine. Firstly I would like this magazine to serve as a guide to new and upcoming artists that would be based within North London . It will also serve as a place to get information about Hip hop raps history and how it came to be what it is now. I would also like to add that this magazine will spot the best things that happened in hip hop rap history and also spot the best things in todays society. Lastly I would want this magazine to be the

  3. The genre of the magazine Shout out is going to be Hip Hop/ rap. The reason for using this genre is because that I know from my research that North London is growing a Hip hop rap scene so using that I will be able successful gain customer from this
