QUEST 2014
Mechanics:
1. There will be 2 contestants per grade
level in every district.
2. Real Life Situations and activity materials
will be provided by the Division Office.
3. Registration form must be submitted or
can be sent through email a week before
the contest date.
5. 4. In case one of the contestants is not
available due to any circumstances, the
alternate contestant is automatically
part of the team.
5. There will be two (2) phases in the
competition:
Phase 1 - Situational Analysis, Problem
Making and solution (Grades 4-6; 10
min. And Grade1-3; 15 min.).
6. After the given time limit, all outputs will
be collected by the members of working
committee/judges.
Phase 2 -Presentation of Outputs ( 5 min. )
Drawing of lots is done on the day of the
competition to determine the order of
group presentations.
A deduction of 1 point per judge in every
minute and of a fraction thereof in excess
of the given time limit.
7. 6. In case of any clarifications, only the team
leader can ask questions directly to the
Chairman of the board of judges.
7. The decision of judges is final and
irrevocable.
8. Only top 5 teams will be declared as
winners.

18. 2. Every morning, it takes 75 minutes
for me to do the household chores and
45 minutes to walk from home to
school. Our first subject starts at 7:45
a.m. and our teacher told us to be in
school 15 minutes before the time to
attend the Flag Raising Ceremony and
clean our classroom.
19. 1.Mr. Lim made an experiment on his upland
farm. He planted his one hectare farm with
palay. One half of it is chemical and fertilizer
free and harvested 30 sacks while the other
half hectare was applied with chemicals and
fertilizers, spending P5,000 and harvested
45 sacks. Each sack cost P850.
