1. car travels 180 m the first minute, 250 m the next minute, 320 m the third minute, and
so on in an arithmetic sequence. Find the distance traveled after 5 minutes.
2. A group of mountaineers who climb Mt. Asog during summer doubles every
week of the summer season. If there are 15 climbers for the first week of the summer
season, how many mountaineers will there be on the 7th week ?
3. Chantal saved from her school allowance as follows: P15 on the first week, P20 on the
second week, P25 on the 3rd week, and so on, how much was her total saving after 50
weeks?
4. Pacita donates P50 on the first week to a charitable institution, P100 on the
second week, P200 on the third week. The amount doubles each week. How much
is her total donation for 10 weeks?
5. Suppose the auditorium of the Tagaytay International Convention Center (TICC) has 20
seats in the first row and that each row has 2 more seats than the previous row. If there are
30 rows I the auditorium, how many seats are in the last row?
