Firstly I will tell you the history of Chai or Tea;
In India we have documented evidence of consumption of chai from the time of Ramayana & Buddhist monks
Bodhidharma and Gan Lu, but eventually it was lost in history and did not begin until the arrival of the British East India
Company. But in China it had been since1796 officially use by Quing Dynasty for use of royal family only. It had been
introduced to the world in 1830 when it was brought by one Chinese monk to Japan.
We are consumed 70% of total tea production of India. It itself says that we are not yet grabs commercial market of Chai
Café or Tea/Chai Point officially. We have lot of chai tapri in every corner of the road, which is very filthier or time
adjustment. But business community, new couples, middle class or higher middle class, professional, collage students, and
young generation were looking for neat spot, where they can share their thought with each other. And so it’s come in my
mind why don’t I share this with my followers.
WHAT YOU NEED TO START CHAI CAFÉ OR TEA/CHAI POINT:
• Minimum 150-200 sq. ft. shop in the center of marketable location.
• Special utensil for tea making
• At least keep 10 varieties of tea
• Good Seating arrangement with free space
• Service tax/Vat/GSTIN registration required
• For Chai Café you would require only provisional FSSAI acknowledgement but you put sale counter with your own brand
then require registered FSSAI certificate.
• Shop & Establishment and other necessary compliance put by local govt. authorities.
• Labour requirement 2 chai specialist & 2 stewards, coupon machine and one manager.
• Minimum investment Rs.2.5lk, maximum up to you.
• Chai rates shall be affordable with unique presentation of chai
