Premier Elements allowed the user to precisely edit and manipulate video clips, including applying slow motion and rapidly repeating shots to fit the music. InDesign enabled cropping and arranging photos and text as desired, including adjusting transparency and colors. Photoshop helped edit photos by airbrushing and removing blemishes to make products look more professional, as well as blurring backgrounds. Blogger is used to document thoughts, ideas, decisions, and the creative process with visual examples.

Premier Elements is the software I used to edit my music video. It allowed very
particular and specific manipulations of my clips and images to exactly what I
wanted and also showed me other techniques and effects I could create.
An effect I knew I wanted to include, but
didn’t know whether it would work, was to
have the footage in slow motion. Premier
elements allowed me the option of
changing the videos to the exact speed I
wanted that made it in time with the music
or the right length to fill gaps and cut
parts I didn’t want.
I also discovered by experimenting that I could repeat shots rapidly to make them
fit in time with the music which I hadn’t planned to do but found gave an effective
variation to the transitions between shots.

look more professional. This is because
I know how important star persona is
and that the reputation of an artist can
be built on watching their music videos
and seeing what they are like. I also
showed the importance of the artist by
blurring the background to make keep
the focus on the figure in front. I also
used Photoshop to increase the
vibrancy of the colours to add to the
colourful theme I kept up throughout
the video using editing in Premier
Elements and by my choice of styling
and setting.
