1. Tracking Assignments
I used Apple’s Calendar and Reminders apps to
keep me on schedule. This made remembering
assignments and assigned readings easier.

Apps I Would Also Use
I would use Blackboard Collaborate and Google
Calendar. Collaborate would allow me to
attend class wherever I needed to, and I could
sync Google’s calendar with Apple’s calendar
along with the school’s GMail system.
Writing Papers
I used Google Docs and Pages to write papers.
Both apps allowed me to do the most basic
formatting, had spell check, and would auto
save my work.
Submitting Assignments
Discussion boards were the easiest assignments
to do using the Blackboard mobile app. I also
learned how to turn in papers from Google
Drive to the Blackboard mobile app.

Phone
I used an iPhone 4s and 5C throughout Graduate School
(August 2012 to May 2014)
Why I Used My Phone
As a busy full time library paraprofessional and full time graduate student, I had to come up with a convenient way to make
graduate school work with my lifestyle. I used my phone to submit my assignments, whenever I had time wherever I was.
It allowed me to work on assignments before work, before and after church, and even on the way to work (someone else was
driving!).
