Using Google Docs in the Classroom https://docs.google.com/demo/edit? id=scADCGPS5DAPbx_1volfqeCA4&hl=en&dt=document#
Ways I can use Google Docs• Have students collaborate on group assignments. Many times students tell me they aren’t friends with their partner(s). With google docs, it doesn’t matter. Students can each contribute and collaborate from their own home without having to go to the other person’s house.
Ways I can use Google Docs• Collaborate with other teachers on a lesson plan, activity, or assessment. For years, I have been emailing lesson plans back and forth with teachers. This will make our lives so much easier!
Ways I can use Google Docs• Create student survey forms. One example could be a student interest form. At the beginning of each year, I have student fill out a form that tells me about them as a person and a student. Rather than collecting hard copies, I can collect the data using a survey form.
Ways I can use Google Docs• Use the spreadsheet with the entire department for budget items. We have always done this with a hardcopy and passed it around the department and then entered in the data into Excel. Using the online spreadsheet will streamline the budget process.
