2. Front cover
I made the masthead
In my front cover,
big and bold to attract the audiences eye
from a far view. By using the colour red
this is a strong colour against black and it
blends in really well with the
background. I didn’t want to distract my
target audience from the main cover
image therefore, I made my cover lines
surround the artist instead of block the
facial features and hair. The use of the fur
coat makes the picture look really rich
and adds value to the magazine which
shows the quality inside.
3. Contents page
In my contents page I put the writing in
front of black boxes because it makes
the writing stand out and easier to
read. I help the audience easily find the
double page spread by putting the
page number big and bold next to the
up coming artists on the page. I didn’t
want my music magazine to be just
about the artist and their music
therefore I added pages about their
fashion and competitions to go to there
concerts.
4. Double page spread
I used a different range of camera
shots throughout my magazine
and I decided to show the whole of
the artist body by using a long
shot, because my magazine is
aimed at a young audience I
dressed the artist / model in the
current style and trend that young
people would wear.
