2. My music magazine genre was hip-hop/rap, this helped me in many
ways because due to the fact that most magazine that focus on this
music magazine use many subtle colours because the magazine is
meant to attract both genders, my questionnaire helped me decide on
my colour scheme because I found out that most people who are
interested in this music genre do not like bright flashy colours. So in
order for me to appeal my target audience in my final product I did not
use any bright and flashy colours.
3. For my front cover my model was a female and she is
wearing a simple vest top, black bubble hat, burgundy
trouser and a puma trouser. My model would attract both
male and female because she is very laid back in the way she
is dressed but would also appeal those who are interested in
the music genre as she is wearing trainer which is an
iconography of my music genre.
For my content page I have used two main images, the
first image is of a girl within my target audience age
range she is wearing a black hoody , this would
encourage my target audience to dress as they please
because teens in hoody are often labelled as
trouble(Stereotypical)
When creating my magazine I had to use colours
which would appeal both male and female, also I
had to make sure that the font for my text was very
distinctive so that it is readable by all.
For my main text body I used this is so that my target
audience would be able to read the text, my masthead is in
big bold letters across the top of my front cover it is in a
different front and its easy to tell what its says.
For my content page I have used different
text font, for example page number, I have
put my page number in a different font to
cover lines this is done so that my target
audience would be able to see what page
numbers each article is on
In order to make my double page spread unique
I have added an autograph by the artist to
attract my target audience, I have also made the
text in a different font as to what my content
page and front cover had this is to show that it’s
a different story and a different page
4. I used images of popular artist in order to attract
my target audience. On my content page I have
used columns in order to separate the headline
from the subhead lines so that the two are not
cluttered together, it also helps my target
audience to see which aspect of the magazine
that they want to go to.
