 Responsible for the operation of the material department. And the organization of
the material storage area.
 Establishes from purchase orders the traceability requirements, and ensures
implementation upon receipt, prepares preservation schedules.
 Responsible for the operation of the respective warehouse/store area and implement
the guidelines defined by the Project Control engineer.
 Coordination with rigging Supervisor who is responsible for the review and
implementation of vendors special requirements (if any) for equipment offloading
and subsequent handling.

 Conjunction with Rigging Foreman as necessary shall make the arrangements for
off-loading material at the estimated time of its arrival, including provision of any
especial off-loading/handling equipment.
 To establish as far as possible that material/packages in the consignment are correct
to that advised by the carrier in regard to quantity and description of the material
and to determine any obvious damage to all or part of the consignment.
 Arrange photograph if any obvious damage where possible together with a detailed
sketch and the report attaching to the OSD report. Where there are discrepancies
between actual receipt and the shipping documents, any overages/shortages or
damage, any OSD report shall be completed.
 Responsible when overage, shortage and or damage is found.
 Responsible for coordinating all material, etc. shipped from the jobsite.
 Responsible for inventory, tagging and segregation of any scrap materials. Also the
transfer documents and/or disposition of any scrap or surplus materials by means of
a shipping record.
 Ensure that the Storekeeper will provide the copies of all relevant document to the
QCD (Quality Control Department)
 In conjunction with client as appropriate, determines the ultimate QC Status of
thematerial as conformant or non-conformant.
 Ensure where there are discrepancies between receipt and the shipping documents,
any overages, shortages or damage, shall be recorded on an OSD Form. The OSD
shall be specified to one MRR.
 Prepare OSD report as directed for one or more of the following discrepancies.
 Ensure Storage area shall be safe and tidy and all stored shall be readily identifiable.
 Responsible to issue an index of storage and preservation conditions/locations on an
equipment item and material categorybasis.
 Ensure the schedule of routine inspection shall lay down and to be coordinated by
the Warehouse controller and to check on the condition of stored material.
 Ensure that the preservation and protection Log Report shall be reviewed
periodically.
 Ensure records of preservation and protection shall be available for client review and
verification.
 Check each FWR against stock records and identify any material shortages.
 Responsible for originating a Material Outstanding Report which shall be provided to
the client representative for information.
 Coordinate with the Warehouse Controller Engineer to determine the handling of
surplus materials after reviewed and verified by field discipline leader when the
construction work has been completed.
