CAREER OBJECTIVES
Am striving to make career in the supply chain management and in charge of the organization to
obtain a long-term permanent position as a Purchasing Supervisor with a company that would utilize
my diverse experience, while offering both growth and professional advancement with the view
of applying and using the knowledge of my colleagues, superiors and self. I would like to exploit my
potential and sense of obligation for the benefit of the organization.
CAREER HISTORY
Procurement Expeditor/Shipment 2011---To Date
Modec Ghana Ltd (Jubilee Field—MV21 & TEN Fields-MV25)

Reporting to the Procurement Manager and my key responsibilities are;
Core Duties:
 Monitoring supplier's performance in terms of delivery schedule in order to prevent any delay
and when applicable, develop and implement the appropriate recovery plan to improve
delivery.
 Management of the material and equipment collection, shipment, tracking and clearance for on-
time delivery offshore.
 Support the procurement manager and update on the performance of vendor after an effective
monitoring.
 Monitoring and distribution of vendor production schedules and initiating corrective measures
and actions when the need arises.
 Management of the delivery of critical materials and equipment and ensuring that they meet
contractual specifications and project delivery requirements.
 Co-Ordination of the delivery of containers to warehouse and ensure that the necessary
documentation is handed over to warehouse.
 Produce a bi-weekly materials and equipment status reports for meetings with management and
other user departments including our Client Tullow Ghana Ltd.
 Coordination of shipments (By sea and Air), and monitoring delivery schedules and shipment
processes, and to ensure on-time port clearance.
 Liaise with customs authorities on daily handling of customs duty exemptions and free in order
to reduce cost of imports and exports.
 Ensure accuracy of documentation by analyzing import and export documents for incoming
and outgoing shipments in accordance with required standards.
 Work closely with the Departmental Heads, Finance, Procurement Manager, Senior Buyer,
Materials & Logistics Coordinator.
 Responsible for liaising with the Company’s freight forwarders to ensure on-time collection
and shipments, both by sea/Air of any equipment in a well-documented and cost-efficient
manner.
 Making applications for shipments that qualify for tax exemptions by preparing the necessary
documentations and liaising with the relevant authorities.
 Monitor order status and correspond with suppliers regarding changes, shipping Work
closely with freight forwarders to enable effective Customs clearance of air and ocean
shipments.
 As of date, I keep track of over 200 local and international purchases on a master spread sheet
that is distributed bi-weekly (twice-a-week) to top managers of both Modec Ghana Ltd and
Tullow Ghana Ltd.
 To ensure that QA/QC documents are supplied i.e. Data sheets, test certificates, material
certificates, conformance certificate ets... to be supplied with relevant goods.
 To contact vendors to obtain availability and product information and requests for quotations;
concerning new products, damaged goods, delayed payments or any related information.
 Seamlessly interface and liaise with our freight forwarders and clearing agents for our imports
and exports to ensure smooth clearance of consignments.
 Liaison with engineering department for timely approval of drawings, design calculations,
certificates and other documentation.
 Maintain regular contact with site to ensure that vendors meet all stages of their established
schedules and progress report.
 Responsible and accountable for performance factors relating to shipping updates in the
country.
 Focal point for attending Procurement meeting with Tullow Ghana Ltd management both
offshore/onshore for procurement updates on materials.
 Giving of training to subordinates and service personnel to improve their performance
 Receiving, reviewing and approving all freight charges and invoice for payment purposes.
National Service- Stores Officer 2008-2009

Reporting to the Supply chain Superintendent, my duties were;
 Receiving of goods and services physically and electronically.
 Recording and handling of discrepancies.
 Issuing of goods to end users.
 Generating of purchase requisitions.
 Liaising with the end users to catalogue new spares into the inventory Database System.
 Maintaining new catalogued materials in PULSE Mining System.


CAREER HISTORY Procurement Expeditor/Shipment 2011---To Date Modec Ghana Ltd (Jubilee Field—MV21 & TEN Fields-MV25) FPSO Kwame Nkrumah & FPSO John Evans Atta Mills Reporting to the Procurement Manager and my key responsibilities are;

Core Duties:  Monitoring supplier's performance in terms of delivery schedule in order to prevent any delay and when applicable, develop and implement the appropriate recovery plan to improve delivery.  Management of the material and equipment collection, shipment, tracking and clearance for on- time delivery offshore.  Support the procurement manager and update on the performance of vendor after an effective monitoring.  Monitoring and distribution of vendor production schedules and initiating corrective measures and actions when the need arises.  Management of the delivery of critical materials and equipment and ensuring that they meet contractual specifications and project delivery requirements.  Co-Ordination of the delivery of containers to warehouse and ensure that the necessary documentation is handed over to warehouse.  Produce a bi-weekly materials and equipment status reports for meetings with management and other user departments including our Client Tullow Ghana Ltd.  Coordination of shipments (By sea and Air), and monitoring delivery schedules and shipment processes, and to ensure on-time port clearance.  Liaise with customs authorities on daily handling of customs duty exemptions and free in order to reduce cost of imports and exports.  Ensure accuracy of documentation by analyzing import and export documents for incoming and outgoing shipments in accordance with required standards.  Work closely with the Departmental Heads, Finance, Procurement Manager, Senior Buyer, Materials & Logistics Coordinator.  Responsible for liaising with the Company’s freight forwarders to ensure on-time collection and shipments, both by sea/Air of any equipment in a well-documented and cost-efficient manner.  Making applications for shipments that qualify for tax exemptions by preparing the necessary documentations and liaising with the relevant authorities.  Monitor order status and correspond with suppliers regarding changes, shipping Work closely with freight forwarders to enable effective Customs clearance of air and ocean shipments.  As of date, I keep track of over 200 local and international purchases on a master spread sheet that is distributed bi-weekly (twice-a-week) to top managers of both Modec Ghana Ltd and Tullow Ghana Ltd.  To ensure that QA/QC documents are supplied i.e. Data sheets, test certificates, material
  • 3. certificates, conformance certificate ets... to be supplied with relevant goods.  To contact vendors to obtain availability and product information and requests for quotations; concerning new products, damaged goods, delayed payments or any related information.  Seamlessly interface and liaise with our freight forwarders and clearing agents for our imports and exports to ensure smooth clearance of consignments.  Liaison with engineering department for timely approval of drawings, design calculations, certificates and other documentation.  Maintain regular contact with site to ensure that vendors meet all stages of their established schedules and progress report.  Responsible and accountable for performance factors relating to shipping updates in the country.  Focal point for attending Procurement meeting with Tullow Ghana Ltd management both offshore/onshore for procurement updates on materials.  Giving of training to subordinates and service personnel to improve their performance  Receiving, reviewing and approving all freight charges and invoice for payment purposes.
