Warehouse & Distribution Supervisor (FMCG)
As part of the BGC Plasterboard Leadership team the Warehouse &Distribution Supervisor, I was responsible to the Warehouse &
Distribution Manager for supervising the BGC finished goods warehouse and distribution functions within safety, quality,
productivity and cost criteria. The Dispatch Supervisor is also the department's principle phone contact with transport suppliers and
stakeholders. I gained a working knowledge of the BGC Plasterboard's warehouse and distribution functions with a high level
working knowledge of the equipment and machinery used in the warehouse and distribution areas.
Ability and knowledge to make judgement on the acceptability of product quality for release, to take immediate action to halt the
dispatch of reject product, build and lead a team spirited environment, set targets to achieve budgeted levels of productivity and
safety, proficient written and oral communications with subordinates as well as superiors.
Ability to implement company and site policies, to supervise and train operators in the relevant skills to enable them to perform
their jobs safely and to the required high quality standards, to counsel operators as required on tasks and customer requirements,
communicate departmental needs to superiors and to other members of the Leadership team and obtain favourable response, a
good working knowledge of the Open Office and Email systems, strong organisational and time management skills, excellent
communication and interpersonal skills, able to lead and motivate staff, able to solve problems and address difficulties in the
absence of the Warehouse & Distribution Manager.

 Ensuring that all W&D machinery are kept maintained. log books up to date and liaise with Maintenance to ensure servicing
and repairs are done in a timely manner.
 Regularly assess each work station's activities to ensure that all work is carried out by all operators according to work
lnstructions and to ldentify areas of improvement
 Ensure all employee time sheets are completed and checked daily.
 Take an active role in the organisation, supervision and reconciliation of the department's monthly stocktake.
BUCYRUS / WESTRAC EMP (Expanded Mining Products) Mar 2011 – Nov 2014
Newly acquired EMP business division with 148 unique ex-Bucyrus model configurations to the WesTrac line-up including: Electric
Rope Shovels, Draglines, Hydraulic Excavators, Rotary Platform Drills, Underground Mining Equipment, Dump Trucks and High Wall
Miners.
Warehouse & Logistics Operations Coordinator
Initially recruited by Bucyrus to coordinate daily Warehouse & Logistic Operations, including the distribution of work tasks to staff,
the implementation of regular stock cycle counts and efficient freight transportation processes, as well as provide high levels of
customer service, taking and placing orders using internal software programs. Assisted the Warehouse Manager with daily running
of the warehouse, also implemented and reviewed Work Instructions and Safe Work Practices to formalize procedures and
processes, and increase safety within the warehouse. Conducted daily & weekly Warehouse Inspections and quarterly Safety
Audits within the Warehouse confines and Site Safety Inspections.
After merger with Westrac (EMP), in addition to above, implemented and reviewed Work Instructions and Safe Work
Practices/Procedures, Applied and implemented Caterpillar Production System, Competitive Practices & Systems and 5S Auditing
and Validation systems to improve warehouse effectiveness and productivity to better fall inline with current Buisiness goals and
Industry requirements for sustainability in the global and economic market.

Supported the smooth operation of a busy warehouse, ensuring all freight was correctly picked, packed and wrapped ready for
delivery to national and international clients. Loaded and unloaded freight vehicles using a forklift.

 Liaised with Warehouse Manager and Transport Coordinator to forecast freight volume and sizes, which drove improvements
in workflow scheduling and planning.

practices. QA & QC of manufactured components to ensure these met with stringent guidelines of head, foot, finger & Body
entrapments as per engineered drawings.

Recruited to oversee warehouse operations, manage freight and transport, receipt and manage stock, and assist the Warehouse
Manager with daily operational tasks. Provided weekly reports on stock and inventory reports and actively participated in customer

Earlier career was spent with the Australian Defence Force (ADF), Royal Australian Armoured Corps. ( 1982 – 1996 ). Contributed
across a broad range of areas leading teams of Soldiers and Armoured Vehicle Crew members including which included training
activities and drill lessons.

CAREER HISTORY BGC Plasterboard Sep – Oct 2015 Warehouse & Distribution Supervisor (FMCG) As part of the BGC Plasterboard Leadership team the Warehouse &Distribution Supervisor, I was responsible to the Warehouse & Distribution Manager for supervising the BGC finished goods warehouse and distribution functions within safety, quality, productivity and cost criteria. The Dispatch Supervisor is also the department's principle phone contact with transport suppliers and stakeholders. BUCYRUS / WESTRAC EMP (Expanded Mining Products) Mar 2011 – Nov 2014 Newly acquired EMP business division with 148 unique ex-Bucyrus model configurations to the WesTrac line-up including: Electric Rope Shovels, Draglines, Hydraulic Excavators, Rotary Platform Drills, Underground Mining Equipment, Dump Trucks and High Wall Miners. Warehouse & Logistics Operations Coordinator Initially recruited by Bucyrus to coordinate daily Warehouse & Logistic Operations, including the distribution of work tasks to staff, the implementation of regular stock cycle counts and efficient freight transportation processes, as well as provide high levels of customer service, taking and placing orders using internal software programs. Assisted the Warehouse Manager with daily running of the warehouse, also implemented and reviewed Work Instructions and Safe Work Practices to formalize procedures and processes, and increase safety within the warehouse.
