UPES LAUNCHES NEW & EXCITING BBA PROGRAMS
UPES announced addition of three brand new specialized undergraduate offerings taking the total number of
undergraduate offerings in its ‘College of Management & Economic Studies’ to eleven. The new programs which
will be rolled out this year include Bachelor of Business Administration in ‘E-Commerce Marketing’; ‘Media
Management’ and the third being BBA with a core specialization where the student can opt for his/her
specialization in the second year from a bouquet which would include Human Resource Management, Marketing
Management, Finance & Accounts & Operations Management.
An awareness drive on the new offerings was organized by UPES in Hotel Madhuban last Sunday with the
objective of giving a detailed insight of these exciting offerings to class 10th and 12th
students and their parents
while also sharing the career opportunities which these programs bring with them. Mr Amit Prasad, Director of
Enrollments gave an overview of UPES and the way it has evolved over the past decade to become an institution
of choice not only for students from Uttarakhand but for students across India. He also shared with the audience
what they should expect to learn from the three new programs while also providing a glimpse of the career
opportunities which go with the new launches. Dr Atul Razdan, Associate Dean of the undergraduate business
school of college of Management & Economic Studies took this opportunity to also share with the prospective
students the current BBA programs being offered by UPES while also sharing some of the great career
achievements of the BBA alumni.
Ms Pervin Malhotra , a very popular face in the Media circles and also one of India’s known career guidance
experts and Mr Zubin Malhotra were present during this program as special “Invitees” of UPES. In her talk she
enlightened the audience with her thoughts on how a career needs to be chosen by students when they are about
to get over with school level education. Her insights were well appreciated by both the young school students and
their parents. Ms Pervin has been recently nominated to the list of 100 Women Achievers in India by the Ministry
of Women & Child Development for her contributions for her pioneering works in this field which has led to
creating awareness on the importance of career planning for today's youth.
Mr. Avinash Chakravorty, Assistant Vice President (Operations) of Sage Publications shared his experiences with
the BBA students which he has been recruiting since the past two years for his company. He also elucidated how
these programs are placed in the corporate world.
Anxious parents utilized the questions & answers session to the fullest to have their queries resolved and have
their doubts cleared.
